      making the unreal real

i actually have a question. i've been a lucid dreamer for about 8 years but now my dreams are getting freekishly real i can feel pain in my dreams and when i wake up i feel pain. or i can grab a bite to eat and when i wake up i'm already full. byt my latest dream was unlike any other lucid dream i've ever had. long storyy short i was carring a brief case filled with money and i whent to wake up the thing is i was holding on to that brief case like i was going to bring it out of my dream it felt so real when i almost woke up my mind said this isn't real and the brief case disapeared and i was awake i know this sounds weird and the question is probably stupid but could that have been possible to do that actually bring something that wasn't real from the dream world and make it real in this one. tell me your thoughts

That would be awesome See if you can do it again.

I have dreams like that, sometimes. The last bit of dream content will linger for a while after I wake up. I can continue to see or feel things for a few seconds or minutes after I wake up. Not as a false awakening. More like a hallucination.

(I'm going to move this to beyond dreaming, if you don't mind. I think you'll get better responses there)

i have practiced doing it a fiew times but my conscous mind can't be aware of it or i want dream it i have to be unawhere then take control of my LD after that when i reach an object to grab in my dream i am in a constant struggle with my mind to make sufe i can wake up and still have what ever i'm holding in the dream. i will try this over and over i don't know if its even possible but i have a theory if an attom can be tellaported from one place to another then why not use the place between the dream state and reallaty to tellaport the object in my dream

      what do you think

First, you should learn to use periods. I barely understood what you said.

Second, I don't think it is possible for this to happen. You are perceiving it in your head, you aren't actually performing it on the physical plane, so I don't think you can create something physical with your head only.

If it works tell me how to do it!

Oh. Still, it's an interesting idea! If this turns out to be possible... wow, that will be fucking awesome!

Some can argue that the physical plane is being perceived in our head as well, so that both the dreamworld and the physical plane are actually the same plane, if that is the case, then this is very much possible.

yeh, I have to practice it though. It took me a long time to learn how to fully control my dreams but, if I can learn to master it i can almost do it.

I have one other thought. The body relays sences when a person dreams. pain, pleasure, fear and others. If it could relay all of the right sences it could probably work. but thats just theory nothing solid or anything.

it may not be possible to make it real, but i do believe its possible to get it to have a real effect on your body. for example a few times when i have been drifting off to sleep i have suddenly found myself in a dream with a phantom spliff to smoke. the effects of that are real enough i believe this is perhaps a step along the journey to a point that monks may be able to do where there visualisation techniques are so powerful they can literally trick there bodies into being sustained by thought alone

Many thank for all of your post,

Perhaps there is a dream evolution. I don't believe in human evilution because, unlike our phisical being our brain hasn't been fully tapped into yet. Albert Instine was only using about 40 or 50% of his brain. So maybe this would also be a step forward for humans. Making the unreal real doesn't seem possible right now but, it might be achieved one day through further understanding of our brain.

Keep posting your thoughts and, commints i like knowing what others think.

Perhaps take baby steps. How about looking for an object in a dream, a very distinct and unique one. Focus on it, over the period of multiple dreams even to cement it into your mind. Then keep an eye out for it in your waking life. Can a bridge be created between the dream world and waking world?

We would be lucky if we figure out how to do that. Unfortunately, it hasn't been done (that we know of )

dude i totally saw a video on that YouTube - Lucid Dreaming: How to Dream Bridge (Part One)
I've had alot of sychronicities and deja vu. So I do think it may be possible. Maybe controlling deja vu dreams is how people perform miracles.

Yeh, if only it were that easy. i try looking at something i want to bring out of my dream. I look at a single object every night. I studdy every detail of that object. Then i close my eyes and visualize that object in my mind. Maybe the more i studdy that object and look at it and visualize it, I may be able to make it clear in my dreams. Then one day it might be possible to bring out.

      Tell me your thoughts.

I have a feeling Tranquil Toad was asking that question almost rhetorically...

Ryan, you're doing it backwards, homie. Strike that idea, reverse it, and try again. Start with the imagination and then LOOK for a manifestation in the physical afterward.

Example: Last night I was lucid dreaming and I dreamt I was given a loaf of bread with apples in it. (Not the most normal combo for bread, let alone in MY life and in my dreams) This happened right before I woke up for the day. (grain + apples). I took it to the kitchen in my dream, which was my grandma's kitchen. I woke up and my grandma (who I am staying with for a week), had made hot cereal with apple chunks in it for the first time since I'd been there. (grain + apples.) I wasn't even trying to look for a connection this time, it just started in my dream/imagination and then manifested in a sense in the physical.

If you make a conscious effort to do this both in your imagination and then in your dreams, stuff ought to show up more often in waking life as well. I don't know any human (yet) that has the level of mastery needed to pull physical objects in from other planes, but this kind of exercise is a good start, regardless.

      Peace.

      -K

Yeh I'll have to start doing it that way. Maybe thats the reason i'm not seeing that same object over and over in my LD"s thanks for the advice. By the way thanks Saltyseedog for the youtube sugjestion. That was a easy video to understand. I got the concept.
