Thread: astral projection and shared dreaming, possible experiments

i really like the idea of both of these concepts. they are really cool, i've been reading up on the 7 planes and the 7 forms of man. neat stuff! however i'm curious; have people done experiments? i mean not random people but people on this forum or at least people you know? like lets say two people have a shared dream. as an experiment could they write it down without talking to each other and then compare and find that it's identical down to dialogue, events and locations? and as for astral projection, if you leave your body in the astral form can you go into a friends house, make note of what they're doing, and then call them after and tell them? can you pass state tests while in astral form (reading text twice, reading digital clocks, etc.)?


random questions: what is the astral plane like? is it different for everyone? does it look like earth or is it completely different? after death do people stay there or move on to somewhere else or cycle back to earth again in a new body? has anyone accessed their akashic records??? that one really interests me! i read some wikipeda stuff on these topics but it wasn't very in depth, hence this post.

There have been many people on this forum who have shared dreams with other members on this forum, myself included.

From personal experience, there was one shared dream that several members of DV took part in. One of the people who ended up in it did not even know we were trying to share dreams with each other.

that's really exciting! i've got to hear more! i'm fully confident that interface with the subconscious could unlock vast amounts of real data, ie akashic records (albeit maybe not exactly what's supposed to be in them but vast info none the less). scientists and doctors theorize that this is possible considering they're not sure how much, and exactly what info the subconscious contains. has anyone talked about or done this? it would be hard to prove but definitely warrants research. as far as getting outside your own head and floating into someone else's or at any rate floating into a different plane and meeting up with others, are there experiments/studies done on here? if so where can i find them? experimenting with shared dreaming/astral projection would be a pretty easy thing to try out as opposed to... thinking about it i have no idea how you would experiment with akashic records lol!

somniumrex: I would have thought that experimenting with astral projection would be extremely difficult, not pretty easy. You need to be aware that there are two types of astral projection - etheric projection, where you project your etheric body to another spot in the physical world, and astral plane projection, where, as the name implies, your mind visits the astral plane. I would love to experience etheric projection myself but have don so so far. Although unrelated to dreaming, a group of us tried the Christos method some years ago on a number of occasions but none of us actually managed to get that last stage of coming our of our bodies.

This is exactly what i want to know also.. more about the astral projections. Ive been lucid dreaming for about a year. I heard about astral projections and immediately ordered a book on. It sounds absolutely fascinating..

i'll check out that link, thanks. what are the records like? what did they look like? what have you learned? any detail would be great! i'm really interested in that aspect of the whole thing in particular.

somniumrex, i think you would enjoy the book Journey of Souls It is filled with word for word case studies of actual patients under hypnosis. It is possible to bridge a connection from your subconscious to your superconscious, allowing you to access information and experiences that we do not remember in this physical state. They say that they choose to incarnate into a physical body to learn certain lessons and grow mentally. But once we are born down here on earth, we can not remember any past events we may have been through. If we were fully aware of our past lives, the current one would have much less meaning and we wouldnt take it as seriously. In the book they have many accounts of spirits accessing the akashic records. It sounds like a wonderful place. Not only does it store past events that happened, but we can also see possible outcomes that may have happened if we were to go about a certain point in our lives differently. The records are there for us to learn from. I have been trying to get there for the past couple months now. Aquanina, do you maybe have a link that i could read about your trips to the records? I would love to hear about them.
