Meeting point on DV for dreamers looking for each other

Every time I have a dream which appears to be shared, I go look on the web and on DV for the names of the people I dreamt with.
It is quite exhausting because it's like finding a needle in the haystack.

I have started to tell the dreamers on my dreams to come look for me at DV and I give them the url, but still it would be much easier for them to find me if there was some "meeting point" for them to come.

So I thought maybe it would be nice to have a thread where we can post our ads like "I'm looking for the girl called xyz with whom I shared a dream last night". I don't know if there's already something like this around here, but I haven't found it. It should also have some kind of highlight so it doesn't get lost in the middle of the other threads.

      Opinions?

By the way, I had a dream last night in which I met three girls who told me they were dreamers. I asked their names and two of them replied. Their names sounded like "Lollena" and "Sino" (as in portuguese for "bell"; pronunciation equivalent to "xenu" in english). They could actually be spelled differently but sounded like this.
The third girl, to my left, didn't manage to say her name - either she didn't recall or didn't want to say, but she was in some kind of trouble with it, so I think she was trying to figure out her name but had some memory black out.
I told them about DV and they didn't know about it. I gave them the url. Then the silent girl said they are or at least she is user(s) of some other website, which at first sounded like dreampaws, which I know exists, but I asked her to repeat the name because I wasn't convinced I had understood well. I finally think she said dreampush and today doing a google search I found a website on dreams with a forum, whose url is Dreampush.com
I already left a message there to see if someone identifies the names or being in that dream.

Wow! Thats pretty cool...although now someone might decide to mess with you and say that they were one of those girls even though they werent (I guess you could remember a detail from the dream that you havent mentioned and ask them to recall it).
How often do you have these dreams?

I like the idea of a lost and found thread

Well, the possibility exists, but yes, there were many details of the dream which I haven't described. I will soon post it on my DJ though... I just don't see what would be the point in lying. There's nothing to gain.

I have a lot of what seem to be shared dreams, but it's not easy to find out if the persons' really exist or are just DCs. Even when I recall their names or nicknames.

Well, someone could lie about stuff like that just to be a troll, or for attention. Not saying everyone would, but it is something to keep in mind.
Did you get any responses from dreampush?

Have you ever tried to enter a specific persons dream, or do you just meet random people along the way?

1 - No. I just realized the forum on Dreampush is basically dead. Last posts there date from months ago. Maybe I got the wrong website. Who knows...

2 - Yes. Although I mostly meet unknown dreamers randomly, whenever I can I try to meet my friends and family. Usually only my mother recalls, maybe because of the mom-daughter bond. I open portals and wish to enter their dreams. It's that easy, although not 100% accurate. I've found myself meeting alternate versions of them - like in parallel universes I've been advocating for dream recall among them, so that the confirmed shared dreams' score goes up, but it takes time. I keep hoping to find random dreamers who have a really good recall. These girls I met seemed to be good candidates, because they were clearly lucid for at least half of the dream time.

      I had a similar thread.

As far as proving it, do what I did in-dream and exchange a password/countersign. It wouldn't serve as good evidence to people not in the dream, but *you* would at least have a reasonable proof.

I figured the person in question was a DC but put up my thread just in case (don't really believe in shared dreaming, but it seemed a harmless and quick test). Looks like they were a DC after all, in my case, as expected.

I've read suggestions like that of handing a password to the other dreamer, but there was also this suggestion around to invite the dreamer to come to DV and if then they'd come and ask for the person they dreamed about, would also be a very reasonable proof of the encounter.
Password is very useful, but the dreamer would have to be someone familiar or someone we know on DV, or else we also have to tell them were to find you and that's a lot to memorize: nickname, urls, passwords... I, for instance, have trouble in remembering too many words or dialogs, if I can't make a mental image of it. I guess it's the same with most people.
What was that thread of yours? I didn't want to create a new thread that's basically the same, but I didn't come across yours. I actually created this not so much to find these particular dreamers, but to propose the creation of a "posting board", where people could place their ads like "Girl X looks for boy Y" and so on, with no discussions around those particular dreams, to keep it clean and easy to go through and find potential shared dreams.

My thread was in specific response to the DC insisting they were a lucid dreamer. As far as remembering passwords and such, if they remember the URL, your post should jog loose the password, shouldn't it, similar to reminding someone of something normally?

I mean, the password/countersign could simply be anything agreed upon in the dream. For instance, you both meet at a mall, perhaps you agree to not tell anyone where you met and have that be a confirmation, things of that nature.

We just need to create a subforum specifically for shared dreaming. Who's got a lot of points out there and wants to "buy" that shit?
