Um, no? If someone here can get lucid, I'm merely asking if they can show me if it's possible to visit me in my dream. It's not like I'm asking them to stay up all night and try to beam lucidity to me. If anyone wants to they can go to sleep and if they want they can try and visit me. I don't see how this is wasting their time either. If you could visit someone elses mind then wouldn't you?

Well screw it anyways. I'm just getting really desperate now for something. The main goal of this wan't "Make me lucid", it was to see if dream sharing works. And I wanted it here because more people would see it. But I understand why it needs to be moved and why this won't work.

      So whatever.

Were kinda confused with your goals. FIrst you said it wasn't about dream sharing and now your saying it is about dream sharing.
If your desperate about getting lucid, theres lots of tutorials on this site to help you, and theres lots of willing people who would help you get lucid with induction methods.
If your desperate to share a dream, then join my project. You don't even have to be able to get lucid, you just gotta be able to incubate dreams. And in the mean time you can learn to get lucid and then participate even more in it.

But so far my project has had a bunch of synchronicities that all occured in non lucid dreams, so if you wanna share a dream, then join

The project has 569 replies and 5529 views. It was posted 11 days ago. Plenty of people are in beyond dreaming. It just depends what you post.

Right now I'm trying a mantra, "I recognize dreamsigns when I'm dreaming".
I started yesterday, saying it, admittedly not too often, but I'm working on that.

Will that be enough to get anything? What else will I have to do?

Try, I will have a lucid dream. Works for me, gives me about 2-3 ld's a week.

      This.

And you can't expect everyone to jump into this and do the dirty work for you. All of us who worked to get consistent and frequent LDs had to put some effort into it, and you're no exception.

Unfortunately, others have stated that it's not easy, and also hard to remember and recognize when another person attempts to make them LD, so even if people wanted to do so it would probably be more complex than someone just jumping into your dream and telling you you're lucid.

You also don't have a DJ (could be wrong about that if you have one outside of DV) nor have had any lucids. I could be wrong, but IMO, doesn't sound like you're putting a whole lot of effort into it. You joined about 4 months ago and still haven't LDed; that's a pretty long time, even a hard-ass like me only took about 2 months. That being said, don't expect squat to happen without your own work. If I'm mistaken though then just disregard this whole last paragraph.

the key to lucid dreaming is consistency, positive attitude, believing that you WILL have a lucid dream, and hard work. Its all in your head, if you have a giving up kind of attitude you will never have an ld. It took me a long time to have my first ld, mostly because I wasnt consistent and I basically gave up, but then in the summer two years ago, I decided to try hard and i finally got my first one. The reason Ive been doing this for 2 years and only have 39 lds is because there were a bunch of periods of times where I didnt try hard, and because of that I stopped having ld's. If your not consistent, even if you do have your first ld, you'll stop having them. ALot of people complain about being in dry spells or never getting lucid, but I think really, the key is just consistency, hard work, and your attitude.

@Reachingforthedream I do have a DJ, just filled up an entire copybook of dreams yesterday. I have tried WBTB, WILD, DILD, ADA and DEILD. I know you didn't know, but don't say I don't try hard. Cos I do!

I try to put in as much legwork as I can. And I do. That's why I'm getting frustrated. Everyone puts in hard work, and gets results. I put in hard work, and get nothing. It's not fair wah wah.

I also heard that having a mantra of "I will lucid dream" is supposed to be bad because the will part is hanging, there is no set time. It's like your subconscious is going "Well, when do you mean? Next week? Next month?"

But I will try that mantra anyway. What else can I do?

I don't know what you do, but it's possible you may be trying too many things. Just stick with one technique for a while and try it, believe it will work, act like you are an expert lucid dreamer. I suggest trying MILD, whenever you are going to sleep, just say that mantra, believe it will happen, don't just mindlessly repeat it, but at the same time dont think so much about it that you can't fall asleep. Make sure you always write in your dream journal, look through some of your dreams before bed, just to get in the mindset, do reality checks during the day, it only helps. Do this consistently and vigorously for a couple days, and I believe you will get an ld soon.

Yes, what Atras said, the key is consistency.

It took me only about 2 months to get my first LD, but a full year or two before I ever started getting them consistently.

I understand your frustration; I was frustrated too. But it doesn't change the fact that you're idea isn't the most plausible, unfortunately. If it was, I think the whole world would be lucid by now every night.

Desperation makes people do stupid things. I just come on here and see people who joined when I did or later and sailing through their first lucid and going on the up and up. Most are total noobs, as I admit other people may already have had prior practice. It really frustrates me.

I will try the mantra, and will try to keep a positive attitude. I know I'm not the only person who struggled or is struggling, but it damn well seems like everyones having an easy time.

The only thing that you "have" to do is develop an unshaking confidence in your ability to have a lucid dream. That is literally all it takes.

Hold on... did anyone actually try to get into my dreams? Because the past two nights have been a little different...

They say you can give nightmares if you try to enter someones dream. Well I actually for the first time in years had some nightmares (crap ones, but still nightmare-ish), and I'm considering that it might be someone on here? Maybe?
