About the topic, this could be a legit theory to muslims but to others that aren't familiar with the nature of jinns, it might sound "ridicolous".

The thread started is kidnapped, he probably won't return... and since i doubt anyone else believes this jinn stuff, i think going off topic can only help this thread

Because I think almost every muslim on the planet believes in jinns.

Also, you shouldn't joke about people being kidnapped I get the fun part, but it's disrespectful unless your friends with the person and you're joking about being kidnapped/raped/murdered and stuff like that on daily basis
