Lucid Dream/Astral Projection/Out Of Body Experience

How do you make sure you have a lucid dream instead of an astral projection/out of body experience? So during/after sleep paralysis you find yourself in the room. How do you know if it is a lucid dream, astral projection or an out of body experience? Because I would love to know the differences. So when it happens to me I know what I'm doing. I heard some stories about people having sleep paralysis and right after they are having an astral projecting without even trying. So yeah, please help me out.

I can see you sleep through your bedroom window. You're killing yourself with lucid dreaming.

Lucid dreaming is simply you being aware of the fact that you are dreaming while you are dreaming. (There are better definitions, but that's basically it.)

Astral projection / Out of Body experience... some people can get a little mystical/religious/spiritual/etc. No offense to anyone's beliefs.

I beleve astral projection is when u basicly are flying over your real body, so basicly your 'soul' can now move free. I don't really beleve in this, but i assume that's what astral projection is for most people? Correct me if im wrong.

It's not what i beleve in, so i don't really know to mutch about that subject. Just a random question for the people who beleve in this, how can u be so sure that it isn't a dream u are in? shouldn't they have proved it Scientifically by now if it is actually real? Again, i don't know so mutch about astral projection and i don't wanna offend anybody. Just looking for some information about this myself.

All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.

It's best to have failure happen early in life. It wakes up the Phoenix bird in you so you rise from the ashes.

At least for me, one way to know is the way you exit into the experience.

In OBE - you can feel parts, or your whole body rising above you and if you lucky, copy of your conscience transfers into the "new" astral body and you no longer feel the sleeping body. Your astral eyes may open at this point and you most of the time see your room. Now you are in any of the astral planes that are reachable by you, depending on your vibrational level. If the room you are in looks almost identical to your real room, you probably are in the plane, that is closest to the physical world we live in. Jurgen Ziewe in his book Multidimensional man has incredible descriptions of different planes. You can google his website - where you can read lots of stuff from book for free.

In OBE, if you look at your hands, they will seem melting away, like a candle is melting.

And LDs for me feel different.

AP/OBEs are just Lucid Dreams, so you can't really tell... Or even if you tell a difference, that's just because of the ever changing nature of dreams.

I don't see how some people take AP/OBEs as something special, when you can experience the exact same things in LDs too... (and from which it obviously comes that they are the same).

This is how i think about it.
      I realize that i'm dreaming.
      I realize that i'm dreaming.
      I realize that i'm dreaming.

Just out of curiosity - have you had an OBE, littlezoe?

I had experiences where i was floating above myself while my body was on the bed. Yet, it was just a dream...

Since i don't believe that OBEs are anything different than LDs, so the answer might be no.

Also... if you want to experience something, you keep thinking about it, planting the ideas for your brain to work with. Now once you get lucid, you might just experience that out of body experience, because you wanted it so bad.
But someone like me, who doesn't even think about OBE, just lucid dreaming, might not experience it that way as you do.
It's made up by the brain.
      I realize that i'm dreaming.
      I realize that i'm dreaming.
      I realize that i'm dreaming.

I always heard that if you feel you are having OBE's you should put a shelf above your bed and have your wife put a picture on that shelf facing up, do not cheat and look at the pix just have her do it and make sure you have no clue as to what she put up there.... so if you do truly have an OBE than you should be able to see that picture as you float above your body. When you wake up look at it, to see if you are truly having this experence.
