Learned something weird while trying to have a obe.

I have been trying to have a obe for a week or so and i have had pretty weird experiences. First i tell you the difference between lucid dreaming and obe. I never have had a lucid dream where i didnt know it was a dream. I have always felt it was a dream its easy to tell by the feeling dream characters and the state of mind. I have once had a obe and it was the most realistic experience i have had compared to lucid dreaming. All though lucid dreams can be really realistic you can always tell the difference unless your lucidity is low but when i had my first obe i could think as clearly as in reality and the feeling was really weird. Back to the point.

When attempting obe i havent gotten to a sleep paralysis stage but i have had very new and weird experiences. My first obe started me entering to a sleep paralysis and then starting to see my room trough my eyelids tunnel like vision. Then is started to seperate.
But now when i have learned willingly to enter to the stage when i start to see trough my eyelids which is pretty cool. It starts when i see these green patterns with my eyes closed. Then i have to enter right stage of mind and just focus on my vision and then i start to see as clearly as in reality. I have tried this 3 times and always worked but the weird thing is i can still open my eyes or move my body. I have tried to first memorize what i see then open my eyes and compare what i see and its 100% same as i saw eyes closed. After that i did reality check and i was 100% awake. They werent dream or sleep paralysis but i think they are hallucinations. It seems i am able to enter this stage willingly after reaching the right state of mind.
I have been trying to progress from this stage to a dream or trying to make something appear but i see only what i would see in reality its weird. Have anyone had similar experiences?

      Thanks for sharing!

I have read about accounts from Robert Monroe who describes similar experiences. Although Monroe goes one step further and is able to leave his body and flick back to his real body having two different 'double vision'

You need to try and progress this new found skill!

First see if you are accessing 'this' reality by putting a random playing card on the top of your warddrobe or high up, make sure you don't know what it is then in the obe state take a look, remember the card and in 'real' life see if the card is the same that you saw

Then you can progress your second body even further by trying out this experiment with friends by viewing what they are doing.

Thanks for sharing. I had similar experience, here you can find one of the latest - http://www.dreamviews.com/beyond-dre...ml#post2061155

At first it seems like you cannot move from OBE to dream world, but you can. You just need to get used to those OBE's and feel comfortable to continue LDing.

Try to think of your surrounding not as dream world, but as decorations around you. Just focus on changing decorations and OBE will change to dreaming in other place. Later when you get to know how to do it, you can change it to dream as you did it before.

I have only once seen through my closed eyes. I saw the inside of my apartment. But I haven't had any experiences like that in a while. What's your view on this? People on here told me it was a lucid dream a while back. But I read in a book to say "return to my physical body" in a lucid dream which I did and I saw the bead spread I was sleeping but got excited and woke up... Probably just a lucid dream? Anyway, cool!

Well i dont know yet. I have always opened my eyes after 10 sec to confirm is what i see is same what i will see my eyes open. I saw same way from same angle with eyes open. I wasnt asleep because i did reality check and wrote experience to dream journal.
