I wanted to see someones opinion on the practices he narrates, is he lucid dreaming, does he astral project, does he energy bend, what does he really does? or he does everything at the same time?
He says he's a witch, warlock, shaman, nagual... son on, does anyone have an opinion about him? what do you guys think of his experiences?

I think The art of dreaming is extremely fascinating, and I am right now finishing my second reading of it. It's my plan to test all the different claims made in the book about the possibilities in dreaming.

So far the only thing I have been close to verifying is the concept of "seeing" energy in dreams; several weeks ago I saw a carpet which glowed in a kind of electric manner - as if the whole carpet was somehow alive and electric, buzzing with energy. It was so different from everything else I've ever experienced in dreams, that I instantly gained lucidity. Very interesting experience.

So ... is this the real universe, or is it just a preliminary study?

I think it's very risky yo try everything he did without a mentor. We know very well that according to him you could essentially die if you do anything wrong.

About the energy though, did you point at the carpet with your finger and thought about it's energy? or it just happened randomly?

I'm not about to cry out "follow that scout" in my dreams anytime soon.

The carpet was glowing and buzzing all by itself, when I came into the room; I didn't point at it, and also didn't demand to "see energy". Therefore I don't consider it an actual validation of the Castaneda claim. But it was certainly something that has made me think.

I did follow something and went into some strange world. It was HI instead of an actual dream.

What do you mean "It was hi"?

I woke up from a nightmare"ish scene in which a friend was coming to visit and she started screaming because someon was outside. It was her father she said and she happened to have trouble with her dad. It wasn't her dad. But there was a man outside the window glaring inside. I looked at him and he noticed me flinched and then he rode off. I woke up from this dream because my friend hugged me and screamed in terror. While I was awake I kept my focus on the image of this man. And I focused in on the energy and I had a sense of traveling through a tube and then I was in a scene completely inhuman and full of different colours and crowded. Like a thug's hideout. This was before I read Castaneda.

This was all awake. I could open my eyes any time. Hence I called it Hypnagoic Imagery. Or like a waking dream.
