      Shared Dream RPG

I am in the creating a shared dream RPG with the purpose of inducing shared serial group dreaming!

This game is only for people with strong dream control. If you would like to play, first learn strong dream control, then you will have lots of fun.

This game will also induce time dilation through my "Do Nothing" technique, which is not really doing nothing, but it's what we do when we say we are "doing nothing." This is the technique:

When you become lucid, do nothing. Stop. Breathe. Do a reality Check. Look around. Smell. Touch your environment. Sit down. Feel the dream. Observe what is going on around you. Sit in one place for as long as you can. Look at the details of things. Look at something far, look at something near. Listen.

The beginning group of quests will be focused on increasing your sensory awareness in the dream, general dream control, and time dilation.

The next step will be to increase your skills in your chosen profession in the game. You will be given a quest in which you will gather the basic materials for your trade. For example, if you want to be a blacksmith, you will mine iron and carbon, create steel, then shape it into weapons, armor, tools, and other things.
You will have a Home and a Workspace that you return to, whether it be a shop, a street, a boat, or the woods.

After you have created your character, and completed your profession quest, you will be ready for other questing, such as:

      obtaining armor, gold, weapons,
      taming steeds and familiars
      learning skills

Then, you will move on to storyline quests, and side quests.

The purpose of these quests is to induce shared dreaming.

I'd like to hear from everyone who is interested.

I will be running this game primarily out of the Dreamwalkers forum so as not to clutter up BD.

May all your dreams be lucid.

Ah, you dreams do not have to be lucid in this game. Lucidity does not always grant dream control. Many people have dream control without lucidity. Personally, sometimes when I am really lucid, my dream control weakens because I am too aware of the physical world.
You can do these quests and tasks without lucidity through dream incubation.

Actually I am very, very interested in your 1st "Doing Nothing" part.

When I acidently go lucid I have no interest in doing anything. So I will start setting The Intention to do the 14 things on the "when you become lucid" list

I remember what happened when you asked us to get some Sidewalk Chalk . It was on the 3rd of December 2011.

Then on 10th of December 2011 7 days Later I had this amazing dream about colecting chalk. WOW, WOW, WOW. here is my post:

Last night after posting here I went to sleep after nidnight. I thought about holding nice, comfortable, round-golf-balls, (or bigger) of chalk as I dropped-off.

I woke with no dream, as usual. But I thought to myself, "Don't try to hard too remember just believe it will unfurl during the day".

      Then

I remembered being on the slope of a mountain with others. We were like a school geology-class on excursion. We were told to look for and collect specimins of rock.

In the dream I saw chunks of hand-sized white rock. I picked up a few but dropped them again because I wanted some thing rounder.

Then the rocks around me became rounder but I didn't want boring white hand-size rock, I wanted darker rocks.

I began seeing exciting dark blue and black chunks of roundish hand-sized rocks. I picked some up and filled a little white bag.

It was time to go and I was so proud of what I collected that I became a little nervous that someone might covet my lovely rocks and try to "aquier", (steal them). But then I remembered we were just a high school geology class on an excursion to collect rocks so I stopped being nervous and relaxed.

Just now this reminded me of something I read in Lobsang Ramper long ago where he said that when he was a little kid in school, in Tibet, he and his siblings would go to a special place in the mountains to collect chalk for use in school.

Ha! I found it. Here it is. Chapter One "Early Days at Home" page 19 of his first book, The Third Eye. Published the year before I was born 1958.

"Our schoolroom was quite large, at one time it had been used as a refactory for visiting monks, but since the nee buildings were finished, that particular room had been made into a school for the estate. Altogether there were about sixty children attending. We sat cross-legged on the floor, at a.table, or long bench, which was about eighteen inches high.

We sat with our backs to the teacher, so that we did not know when he was looking at us. It made us work hard all the time. Paper in Tibet is hand made and expensive, far to expensive too waste on children.

We used slates, large thin slabs about twelve inches by fouteen inches. Our "pencils" were a form of hard chalk which could be picked up in the Tsu La Hills, some twelve thousand feet higher than Lhasa, which was already twelve thousand above sea-level.

I used to try and get the chalk with the redish tint, but sister Yaso was very fond of a soft purple. We could obtain quite a number of colours: reds, yellows, blues, and greens. Some of the colours, I believe, were due to the presence of metalic ores in the soft chalk base. Whatever the cause, we were glad to have them."
I am excited that you are starting this well-thought-out new project.

Okay. This sounds fun. I'm the master of doing nothing in my lucids, so we got that base covered.

I just realised that my avatar is now a friendly human like elephant. I found it on Google Images while playing rhe Sensless Banter game, "rename the person above you". PantasmDragon has a signature of a friendly dragon giving out balloons.
      Anyway

Now I will use this friendly elephant mantra to "set the intention" to play your new game, WakingNomad.

I have decided to call the game

      Lucid Urth.

The hub of the game will be Lucid City which is in Neo-Honolulu. Urth is the Dream Earth. I am choosing Earth because it seems that it's hard for for some people to leave the planet on the Dream Plane. Making the setting Urth with increase chances of shared dreaming.

I have placed the City in Honolulu for this is where I live, and I always seem to awake in the Dream Plane from my own bedroom. I have already created Lucid City on the Dream Plane. It's a persistent setting, and exists while I am awake.
