      Triple Consciousness

One of the strangest experiences in my life so far..
I was laying in bed, and suddenly an image of a buddha that I've never seen before pops into my mind. I focus on it, and I feel a very strong sense of love. Suddenly I get a strange sensation in my solarplex area, It felt like a little fan spinning around and making a buzzing noise. It starts spinning faster and faster and the buzzing noise kept getting higher and louder. I felt kind of scared, but I thought "let's focus on the buddha and the feeling of love and just see what happens"
All of a sudden I feel myself rising very slowly out of my body and i knew I was having an OBE, first my legs floated up, en then my stomache and chest and finally my head.
AS SOON as my head had half left my physical head, my physical body instantly falls asleep and I wake up in a dream!
Weirdly enough, I was fully conscious of my physical body laying in bed having the loud buzzing and fan sensations, I was also fully conscious of my astral body floating half out of my physical body, and I was ALSO in a lucid dream standing in some strange room without doors.
In the dream I wanted to fly away and explore dreamland, but I also wanted to float out of my body and have my first OBE, and I also wanted the buzzing to stop. I wasn't able to move, I was in a kind of limbo.
Eventually (I have no idea how long, I'm assuming somewhere inbetween 10 - 40 mins) of just being in that triple consciousness state, my astral body dropped back into my physical body and I instantly also awoke from the dream.

Quite the experience, however I have to ask.

Why in beyond dreaming? While I understand that you believe in OBE and AP, that triple conciousness is also something that can be done on a whim in a lucid, so it is not like dreamers are alien to the concept and I think it would be a nice discussion.

Do you mean by "that can be done on a whim in a lucid" that you could recreate an experience like this in a lucid dream?

I can't prove it to you obviously, but I KNOW that I was nowhere near sleep when this happened, I was fully awake and conscious.
It sounds like you've read/experienced something like this before, if you have, could you share? I'd love to read about it.

That depends on your perspective. I'm not really a spiritual person, but I can have the exact same experience easily, just that I start it from a lucid rather than an OBE or AP.

Anyway, I have on two ocassions woken half of my body in order to interact with the waking world while still being in a dream, while also having multiple conciousness up inside of said dream and can also move about in my "room" (In my opinion, this is another dream rather than an OBE) with an spectral body. Have one dream about this somewhere, will try to find it and post it.

That does sound kind of similar, though you expierenced "waking" consciousness and "dream" consciousness, for me there was a third consciousness, and that one came BEFORE my body fell asleep, at the point of the fan and buzzing sensation I'm pretty sure I could still move my body if I wanted to, though I thought that might stop the experience.
I wasn't in a dream untill after I had half risen out of my body, and I felt it instantly fall asleep as I simultaneously appeared in a dream.
It seems like a good explanation that it was a dream, but in my opinion it wasn't a dream, because as I said, I was nowhere near falling asleep, mentally or physically

Let me know when you find it, sounds very interesting

Well, if you read what Hukif said, he also had a third consciousness, only two of them were "dream" consciousness..es rather than one he identified as astral/OBE. It is impossible to actually determine whether you two were experiencing the same thing but interpreting it different ways, but considering that OBE and astral projection have yet to enter the realm of science (meaning we can't prove or, most important to science, disprove that it is possible... not that disproving this phenomenon is important to science, what I mean to say is that something must be falsifiable in order for us to test it and verify its existence), it is very premature to assume that what you experienced is anything beyond a second dream consciousness (or that OBEs and astral projection aren't just very convincing dreams). Right now, the evidence is more in favor of it being a dream experience.

The experience itself sounds very interesting. I have had experiences where I feel and am aware of my real body while dreaming (or at least it appears to me that I am aware of my waking body... there's also a good chance that this is simply part of the dream too), but never where I have a third conscious awareness. Now, since Hukif says he has actually been able to control his body to interact with the waking world, there is evidence that, at least in that specific case, he was indeed feeling and controlling his waking body. However, that doesn't exclude the possibility that any other time you are aware of your waking body but don't interact with the real world, that you aren't simply dreaming that aspect up. All in all, it is a very interesting occurrence and phenomenon indeed. Keep in mind that I am not trying to tell you that OBE and astral projection are impossible or anything. Just pointing out facts and things to consider.

What I meant was that what I experienced (seemed like?) a third type of awareness that wasn't dream or waking. While Hukif experienced 2 types (dream/waking)
It does sound like I might have been dreaming, it just seems very odd to me that my body and mind were still fully awake when I was lifting up.
also, when I was suddenly in the dream of which i KNEW it was a dream, it was a completely different world, while the other two awarenesses were both in the room I was sleeping in, which was in a holiday house where i hadn't ever slept before, I wouldn't have been able to imagine the room (admittedly my subconscious might've memorised the room from one glance)

You were able to have 2 different dream-consciousnesses that could both move around in a completely different scene at the same time?

For your first question, I won't really answer for Hukif/Walms, but in case you don't know him, he's a natural lucid dreamer that taught himself how to recognize when he is dreaming (iirc) by using gravity. I don't remember if he said gravity simply feels different or he does something with it though, it's been too long since we've talked Hukif we need to exchange some information lol. Anyway, to summarize, typically has has plenty of LDs every night, and he is excellent at controlling the dreams as well. It would not surprise me at all if he has had a dream like that, even though there isn't really a way to prove it.

As far as moving your waking body from a dream, I've actually accomplished that myself before. Granted, I have woken up every time after moving, but from within a dream I can make myself move and wake up pretty easily. I can also move break out of REM Atonia (or Sleep Paralysis if you want to call it that, since technically it isn't the right term) without any issues.

Ah, no I don't know Hukif, but I notoced the 6584 LD count, so I assumed he is quite experienced :p
      I found this
      http://www.dreamviews.com/induction-...-tutorial.html

That's a very interesting and unique technique, much respect for thinking it up!

I could imagine someone that experienced could create an experience like that, I am however not experienced at all with stuff like that, it just happened out of nowhere. So you guys don't believe in astral projection?
I used to try very hard to get OBE's about 2 years ago, but it never happened. One night I did find myself standing in my room next to my sleeping body, and I fell backwards into my bed (but sideways, i wouldve fallen of the other end if it was real life) and as i hit the bed, i instantly awoke. First i thought it was an OBE, but later I concluded it must have been a dream, because there were no sensations as described by people who say they've had actual OBEs.
The experience I describe in this thread is different though, because I wasnt asleep at the time, and I had the strange sensations (the fan spinning and the zooming that got louder), i read about people having what they believed to be OBEs describing similar sensations
But I guess theres still the possibility that we are dreaming up all these semsations, im sure it wouldnt be hard to recreate in a LD, but when it comes out of nowhere, it feels kind of.. Mystical

I don't believe right now that there is sufficient evidence for the claims that astral projection and OBEs for me to consider them as real. Personally, I had a really bad drug phase that lasted for some time, and encountered a lot of people during that time making the same claims about drug experiences being real that people make here about astral projection and OBEs. Some of my experiences on drugs have seemed more real than anything I've experienced. The fact of the matter is that, whether or not these phenomena exist or some of the drug experiences people have are actually real, the mind is capable of producing this kind of experience and it is also capable of being utterly convincing. Without any tests that we can reliably get good data from, I'm not willing to believe these experiences happen outside the brain, rather than within.

Sorry sorry, you know how life gets one busy.

But yes, in both the different dream consciousness I could move about freely, already got the dream so will share it here.

      Spoiler for Dream:

The only body part I tried to move was my mouth, then just kind of forgot about it and kept to my fight because yeah, that was draining most of my attention and who cares about mid-waking morning pre-school life? Yep, not me at the time.

And yep snoop, we need to talk again dang! Your experiences were incredibly amazing with SP. Still feel jealous.

Dang, the dream isn't like in my journal... anyway, there was supposed to be columns separating the conciousness bits.

In that dream it sounds like you're in some kind of anime or video game or something
I found it a bit hard to follow, and I couldn't really make distinctions between different consciousness, the columns seperating it would've made it alot easier if that were possible :p
I noticed near the beginning you wrote "I take this chance to start splitting my consciousness. There are three, but the last one, my other female prey is only for finding her"
It sounds like you are splitting up you're conscious like in animes/cartoons how they duplicate themselves and are able to control the different versions of themselves.

All these different fighting and defending techniques, are they from a particular game or show, or did you think them up yourself? it sounds like you know them off by heart and they come naturally to you, I've had that if I've played a game and then I would be in that game in a dream and use fighting techniques out of that game naturally without thinking about it.
I can't find anything with 'Novella' and 'Nerimeno' on the internet that seem related to your dream, is it a world/story you created yourself?

Interesting how you could control all the different consciousnesses at the same time though and also how you could move your mouth while still dreaming.. seems like it would require quite a bit of focus

Oh, some techniques were from animes, the rest are things I come up with during dreams.
Nerimeno is also a reocurring DC from my dream world, so yeah it is from a world I created myself.

I don't know why the columns didnt work, but yeah it was quite a bit of work to actually keep myself from not losing the dream when speaking and then having my conciousness in three different places was hard and confusing, but well worth it IMO.

Wow awesome Humangoing. Sounds like you experienced biolocation phenomena. As you described it's the ability to be in more then one place at one time. Seasoned projectors know that you can be well grounded in the dreamscape and feel your physical body laying in bed simultaneously. I also like how you call this Tripple consciousness . I think over time you will see dream consciousness and astral consciousness are one of the same as well as waking consciousness. Buddha actually represents spirtual awakening people in buhdist religions aspire to be enlightened like him. Which is essentially realizing your inner power as a universal being. ~namaste
