"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."
- Albert Einstein
"We're so engaged in doing things to achieve purposes of outer value that we forget the inner value, the rapture that is associated with being alive, is what it is all about."
-Joseph Campbell
"He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice. This disgrace to civilisation should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, deplorable love-of-country stance, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be part of so base an action! It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder."
-Albert Einstein
It is very very risky to believe anything about the year 2012, for one simple reason. It is the most popular doomsday these days. A lot of layers of the astral and especially the lower ones where most travelers, trippers and dreamrs go, are basicly a world shaped from our thoughts. So if lets say 100 000 people continously think about the year 2012 as a day when the world ends , and incorporate into this all the major beliefs about mesiahs and asteroids.. and you have a pretty much stable world in the astral quite nicely defined, with a timeset of the year 2012. It is just normal that any traveler would see it very real and ironically only further increase the thought strength of this projected future. |
|
|
|
I didn't mean that this focusing on this future would cause it, but just adds to the probability of such future and strengthens its 'image' in the astral world. |
|
HOw the fuck will we know what happens till it happens? |

I'm surprised so many people don't know about the idea of the apocalypse happening in 2012. I've known about it since i was about 8, the Mayans predicted the end of the world in the year 2012 on the gregorian calendar. There have been many different shows on tv about this subject. |
|
kinda of. The bible code says that there will be nuclear war in 2006, and in 2012 there will be natural disaster, but the thing that sucks is we won't even live that long |

i'm sure i'll live till 2012 |
|
I wonder, if the prophesy was true and the world does end in 2012, if before we were born we chose to live during these times(in case one had the chance to do so). I think that is kind of conforting, to know that we chose to live through the end of the world. Its a weird thing to say, but I think that the wisdom that we will gain from the experience will be inmense... |

I'd be more inclined to bow

But that's more than I can allow...
this is interesting, me and my science teacher were talking today, it would semm that one of America's national parks is basicly a volcano in the making, it WILL errupt in the next 10 or so years (or so scientists believe) if this was to happen, it would cause a mini ice age in America and Canada etc. So this may be the event of 2012, it would mean natural destruction and a sort of rebith at the same time. Just a theory though. |

From Up aCes street, Kerry's manY Orange Yams.
Oh my god, can you work out the puzzle?
where exactly is this volcano? |
|
"The best way to make your dreams come true is to wake up."
I heard about that volcano to. I think it's somewhere in the mid-west. Maybe near yellowstone park? |

Curiosity killed the cat but at least it didnt die an ignorant bastard
Here's an interesting site (not a scientific one, mind you!)... |
