Dragon slayer, phhhtt.... like a plant could slay a dragon.

Anyways, I went to my local Wal-Mart and picked up some Mixed Coleus seeds, along with a Morning Glory jumbo packet (4.8 grams). I'm going to try the Coleus soon, just give me 6 to 8 weeks...

Yeah, thats what I plan on doing. It's a mixed variety, and I don't know exactly what the psychoactive species looks like... does anyone know?

      Heavenly blue morning glories
The coleus is a red, green, purple mixture of color. Looks very crazy.

And just so you know, Suncoleus: the Dragon Slayer got his name after slaying many dragons.

So... he really did fight dragons... mind sharing that story with us?

Anyway, I've read places that it takes 70 leaves to trip, and other places only 7. Which is real? Those leaves look pretty big...

It could vary alot, but the majority of reports say more than 50, i guess just use your favorite salad dressing and it might not be so bad

Hmm... well, anything's better than MG seeds...

EDIT: I've been researching entheogens, herbal medicine, and the like, and I've found that many of these plants "psychoactive" properties are destroyed by the stomach acid (or something like that). Maybe the Coleus is only active if chewed and kept in the mouth. Just a theory...

"Some suspect the active drug is absorbed sublingually but I haven't seen any research or experiments to support this."

I suggested that a few posts back. Salvia works that way but in order to get strong effects from salvia sublingually you have to make an extract, the quid method is gross and subtle. So even if Coleus is sublingually active, I bet it will require an extract, which is super easy to make though, i'll give you directions if you need them. Even if it ends up not being sublingual, it wouldn't hurt to have an extract, it will probably decrease the nausea and ofcourse be easier to take.

Hmmm... I most likely could find an extraction method somwhere online (unless you know of a really good one, please tell). I'm going down to the 'new garden nursery' today, to pick up an already grown Coleus, because I can't wait for these &%!$@ seeds to grow...

      Yes. Yes they do.

Well, imaginefication, if you find out anything else, just PM me.

P.S. they don't carry coleus in any of the stores around here, too early in the year...

It's a summer plant, and it's an annual. Once you get a plant, make sure you pluck off the flowers, and also, every two or three internodes (leaf branch things) top it (Break off the top) and then stick that part in the ground. Just break off the top leaves, and plant it. It will live 100% of the time. Make sure that you let it grow leaves in between the places that you have topped.
When you do this, the plant will branch out at that point, and get bushier, plus you get an extra plant out of the top that you plucked off. At the end of last year, I had over 30 coleus plants that all came from one small one.

Coleus is VERY easy to grow and VERY easy to kill. As long as you give it just a little bit of attention, it will be fine. If you ever don't want it again, just stomp on it. It is VERY controllable.

Make sure you pluck the flowers off!

The important thing is to not get too involved. If drugs are the first thing you think of in the morning, you need to get another hobby. Seriously. Not because it's bad for you or whatever. I'm not trying to lecture. It's just that I've seen other people do it. One of my friends hasn't gotten off the couch in years. He's 21 years old, lives with his mom, has no car, has no job, but he still has his pot, and judge Judy. There's cooler things to do with your time! Sure. Getting high is nice, but if it's anything more than something to do for fun, or to hang out, or to relax, then you're doing it for the wrong reason.

When I did *insert really bad drug here* everyday, I hated it. I hated the way it made me feel. I hated doing it. I hated having to find it. I hated the fact that as soon as I got my paycheck, I would spend it all on *really bad drug* and THEN start to worry about how I was going to pay the bills. But I couldn't stop. I would sit and smoke all day, and I was never satisfied. The more I did, the worse I felt, and I just couldn't stop. I got so sick of it that I used to puke at the mere smell of it, and I just couldn't stop.

It doesn't happen overnight. Chances are, you don't notice it building on you.

      Sorry for nagging.

Reminder: If you are not going to discuss these substances AND THEIR RELATION TO DREAMING, please do not post. That's what you have PMs for.

Mods and admins are currently reviewing some recently iffy posts.

I was seriously just talking about coleus. Not its effects.

The yellow suncoleus is an absolutely gorgeous yellow, and the purple suncoleus is a dark dark purple. Both only flower very rarely, which makes them the fastest growing kind, and my personal favorite two.
There are also many other varieties that are almost psychedelic in color. Reds, and blues, and greens, and purples.
They take lots of sun and lots of water. You have to be careful not to let them wilt, beause they will wilt very fast. However, they will perk up really fast too, if you give them water.

      EDIT.

Sorry, sorry. I just figured this entire topic was about drugs in general - that's what people have been talking about for the last 15 pages.

But if you'd actually read the last 15 pages, there have been numerous warnings by admins and mods to discuss non-dreaming related drug topics/experiences via PM ONLY.

I did read through the last fifteen pages, to be honest. I just thought those warnings were for specific people. I apologize.

Back on topic, over the last two weeks I've been on T3s (Tylenol-3s) for my broken collar bone, and those gave me some pretty interesting dreams. My recall went from nearly non-existent to remembering at least 3 full length dreams a night (strange ones, too&#33.

I am having trouble understanding the use of DMT and dreams. Is DMT the chemical in the brain which causes dreams? I have read in many places that it is only released when a person comes close to death. Ahh, so, smoking DMT would basically 'put' you into a dream consiously, correct? I was talking to many DMT users and they all said that they think they visit and alternate dimesnion, which is real. They all say the see the same stuff like elves, and mother goddesess?

There is a book that discusses DMT more thoughrally, called 'The Spirit Molecule'. You should read it. From the way I understand it, you have it about right. You are transported to another world, it sounds like. It's much like a dream, when the expeirience is described. It is also a well known fact that some hallucinogens create the same 'flavor' of hallucinations, most of the time.
      Shine on, you crazy diamond!
