Thread: Waking up with wounds?

That's cool. I don't know about the orbs thing... I'd have to see them with my eyes not on camera to believe. Because when you develope the film, you can get those spots. Or if its just a digital camera... it could be different dust spots on the lense... I am a bit skeptical about the orbs.

yeah, it was on a digi that's what i think it is myself because the house is really old and all of the windows have been smashed so it'd be easy for the light to reflecting off of dust

I always find odd scars or cuts on me and not know how they got there. Its been happenning for years and I know no one is playing a prank on me. I also know I don't sleepwalk. Maybe this is why I find them on me all the time...

What do you mean experiment? Hoiw would I experiment with it?

As in stayed awake to see if you still got them, kept a record of your dreams (in a journal everytime you wake up), videotaping, sound recording, checking your sleeping area to see if there is any object that could leave marks, any animals in the house, spirits in the house, things like that.

I'm guessing because of your dreaming, your body believes everything it sees is real, therefore, if you get cut by a knife, your body would react to it.

I don't think it's spirits/ghost. They'd probably do something worse than that, such as taking over your body o.O

Not all spirits will try and take over your body. I'm not saying my scars are... but most my dreams are all stupid and happylike and I don't really get hurt in them. So my mind never visualizes a cut or bruise. Its just one of those unexplainable things I guess.

I don't remember this, but my parents tell me that as a young child, I would wake up covered in very fine scratches claiming I was attacked by spiders. They figure I somehow did it myself, but could never figure out how, since the scratches were so fine, I couldn't have possible made them myself.

I do remember keeping a steak knife in my closet to deal with spiders, and how mad my parents got when they found it there.

No, I haven't. I do have pets and have started to keep a dream journal. So, I'll have to look into it...

That spider thing is kinda weird. If the scratches were fine and (I'm just guessing because most steak knives are...) the steak knife was probably seraded then I donno. I guess it could have been done (if you sleep walked) by the tip of the knife. But that is kind of weird for a kid to do. I don't know.

What do the hand prints look like? Like water color are they?

Mine are always darkish purpley bruisey like or red... I have one right now on my upper right arm. But the print looks like it was from my right hand. It is impossible to reach it. Unless in my sleepingness I'm a contortionist..

No, I got busted with the knife the same day I put it in there. I think I mentioned it to them thinking they'd be cool with it or something. Plus that happened after the supposed spider attacks, which I can't remember. I can remember having the scratches once, but not not what caused it. I do remember not liking spiders very much.

I don't mind spiders now, as long as they're not big enough that you'd need a steak knife to kill them.

Thats weird, YAY FOR UNEXPLAINABLE MYSTERIES!!!! What's funny is that my boyfriend is scared of spiders. I saw one the other day in the house, and he freaked out so I picked it up and pretended to kiss it. Then he forced me to wash my hands and face.

Very cool experience imo. Have you tried to find connections between your dreams and your wounds? Maybe if you keep a dreamjournal until the point where you can remember all your dreams, things might clear up who knows.

The same thing happened to my aunt. She though it was a false awakening when she saw a shadow person in her doorway, and it then pinned her down. She woke up with up with bruses on her arms and legs where it had pinned her. She always insisted it was a dream, but I thought it was just a convenient way for her to dismiss it.

If bruises and swelling are your body's way of protecting itself againest further harm - then if you truly beleive you are hurt and in danger, then couldent your body functions be affected?

You have a dream that you fall and hurt your knee, (after all, pain is in your head, right?) so to prevent further harm, and if the beleive is real enough, your body swells the knee to protect it from further harm.

Does any of that make sense?
