Hi. I too have had a break off dream recall for 4-5months... I slept well and slept in on waking, Yay!... but wow! I had recent bout of amazing dreams that over powers the tired laziness I had been waking on that would have me snoozing as long as I could before the alarm to work rang. I'm going to give reality checks and subconscious chatter another go to.
Yeah, I wanna get lucid in other places than my apartment. But for some reason, that's the only place I get lucid in. I only get lucid from FAs T_T I wanna get lucid in the middle of fighting or something cooler but no, of course not. I guess as long as I get lucid, doesn't matter in what place.
The only way for you to get off the apartment is out the window....seems like you are trapped and want an easier way out. I also had a dream about snow a few nights ago i looked out the window as well. Odd. And it was in a apartment too....i think my old place.

The part where you encountered your doppelganger was nice and creepy, especially the way you just caught a shadow of her at first. I was also amused that you were trying to convince folks on IRC that you were lucid right now! Have you jumped onto the IRC again to berate them for not believing you? Great job!
