10.11.2011The Dream of the Apocalypse Train (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID The end of the world is coming. Part of the population can be saved, and in an original twist, actually the majority: there is enough room to host 90% of the world's population in bunkers. The chosen are being evacuated by train, and I'm part of them with my parents and my own. We go to the station and board the train. But I'm not sure that my best friends are evacuated, and I'm not feeling too enthusiastic at the idea of being at the hands of the military, so at the last minute I get off the train. I just have time to shout to my family: "I love you" before the train takes off, thinking that I'll never see them again. Then I find myself with the 10% left behind. I go to a small town near mine. Influence: this is the hometown of a colleague of which we talked recently. The people are in a kind of stupor. I think I need wool to knit a hat for the incoming (nuclear? volcanic?) winter, so I go to this wool shop. Influence: I mentionned the town's sewing shop to my colleague. There are actually quite a lot of people in the shop. I explore every shelf but I can't find the colour and texture I'm looking for. Influence: I failed to find proper yarn on this island.
08.11.2011The Dream of Harrison Ford's Revenge (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID This was a dream entirely in third-person perspective. It shocked my housemate that I could be totally absent from my dream, but he liked it. Harrison Ford, or a character who looked like him, had a long-standing grudge against his father, who had died when he was 25. At the same time he was amnesiac, having forgotten most everything about his father, as a defense mechanism he thought. Harrison Ford worked with an older military guy. At some point, he discovers something about his father that completely changes the way he viewed him, and realized that his father's death was criminal. When he goes out on the carpark (of his work place?), he notices an old black car, and it clicks into place with what he's discovered earlier. This old black car... it means that the military guy killed/is responsible for his father's death! Harrison grabs his rocket launcher and starts shooting at the military guy to seek revenge for his father's death. He misses at firt and the rockets go flying over the sports field nearby. But then, he hits the fleeing military guy in the back, and instead of it being a carnage, it only makes his backpack explodes in sparkles. Harrison Ford feels at peace with his dad now.
20.12.2003(Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I am part of a military expedition exploring a very dense forest near a railway. At some point, a soldier finds, under some brambles, an old yacht. Soon, anyon who gets close to it loses their bearings and become confused. My father goes there, I go looking for him but I forget what I went there for. I find a dog, then I find my father. In the evening, back at the base, my father finds me weeping above the sink (I don't know why, maybe because I was worried for him).
I feel I missed part of my dream tonight - it seems to start in the middle of itself. I am absent from my dream, it's a film-like one. It's night and a young man is accompanying his girlfriend back home. They're in their mid-teens and she's not allowed to go out at night (or maybe she just doesn't want her father to know. She lives with only her father, so he's probably be very protective of her.) Tonight they've made love for the first time. The young woman climbs back up to her bedroom window, which she had left open, and her lover goes his separate way after waving her goodbye. A few days later, they meet again and she is upset because she is pregnant with him. She apparently had a pregnancy test very quickly after they made love. He wants to be supportive and tries to comfort her, saying that they have plenty of time before deciding what to do. He doesn't say the word, but he means that they have several weeks before deciding whether she should have an abortion or not. Another time ellipse. The girl goes to a shop down her street, near the beach, where she meets with friends, basically female characters from Eastenders (a British soap opera) where they had manicure in a shop with a most unusual decoration: rocks, trees and even a spring!
Around 2006-2007 I was hiking on the left side of a forest-covered valley, a very deep valley with very steep sides. The trees were absolutely huge, and I remember thinking it was one of the coolest dreams I ever had (hence the "semi"-lucid). The scenery reminded me of Rivendell in the Lord of the Rings films... I was in company of many people, among whom my father and one of my aunts, and we admired the landscape whilst walking... At one point we saw a very long, thin and fragile looking wood bridge that crossed the valley, like 200 feet above the river. It was winter and the top of the valley was covered in snow, but as we walked down the snow disappeared. The path was narrow, windy and in some places dangerous, the ground crumbling under our feet. As we walked down, we walked under another bridge, a real, solid bridge made of red bricks, we walked near one of its piles... Then the trees became even bigger, their roots were enormous, some bigger than us, and covered in green moss, and I remember thinking the trees had to be centuries old. Then the little girl downstairs started to have an argument with her mom and I was forced to wake up.
