    Oneironaut Zero: Dreamwalker Chronicles

So, this is my new journal. (Ask me about a link to my old journal, from 2005 - 2010) Not much to say, that my original intro didn't say. I began lucid dreaming as a response to vivid nightmares, as a kid. Over the years, I learned how to wake myself up, when I knew I was having a nightmare, which later developed into a curious resolve to stay within the dreams, instead of trying to escape. Now I practice lucid dreaming and dream control regularly (or as regularly as my undisciplined ass can stick with it). Most of my lucid dreams are still spontaneous, but I have my fair share of successes with induction methods, when I apply myself. Lucid dreaming has become a beloved hobby of mine, both for adventure and because of my deep-seated interest in consciousness, psychology, and the human mind, in general. It also just happens to be a hell of a lot of fun.

So...that's about it. I guess all that's left on the agenda is the ol' disclaimer:

In short; by reading my dream journal, you are hereby in agreement to forfeit the right to use any
information or situations, herein, against me...for any reason...under any circumstances...
    ...Ever.

(After all, they are just dreams.)

    Enjoy.

      "Ring Totem"

My earliest memory of this dream was having sex with my girlfriend on the living room couch. Afterward, we were being flirty in the kitchen, and I went to pick her up by her waist and set her on the counter. When I did so, I realized that she was light as a feather - almost totally weightless. Because of this, I realized that I was dreaming. (I'm glad that she was understanding, when I told her about that part. Lol.)

Once lucid, I set her down and began to roam about the kitchen, trying to think of what I wanted to do with my lucidity. My usual, first order of business is to stabilize the dream, so I reached out to the wall and ran my fingers along it, taking in the texture and paying a good bit of attention to it. Then, I remembered my totem. I held up my right hand and began to rub my ring with my thumb, looking down at the inscription and anticipating at least some sort of change. (The ring in the pic above is my actual ring.) The text began to glow a bright white, and it helped me to remember that I wanted to try out the ring as something of a conduit for dream "powers".

The room had changed, and I was now walking through an area with other people. Stepping up to one, random DC, I held up my hand, palm out, and attempted to conjure fire from the ring. I got nothing, though. Curious as to whether or not I would find a different hand position more comfortable, I made my hand into a fist and held that out to the nearest person to me, instead. My attempts to shoot flames from the ring had - again - failed, and I got a little frustrated. The last thing I remember was trying a few more methods to conjure fire before the dream, itself, faded, and I woke up.

      "Spider-Cave Excursion"

I don't remember much of this dream, but the earliest thing I recall is being in a tomb or cave-like environment, with some other people. Not sure why, or what we might have been doing down there, but I do know that the place was crawling with large, rat-sized spiders. There was one moment, in particular, where we running through a narrow passage, and an army of those spiders were stringing down on their webs behind us. (Been having a lot of wolf spiders around the house, lately. I was bound to start dreaming about them sooner or later.)

Later, I had become lucid. (I don't remember how, though, which has been pretty common in my last few lucids). The only two things I really remember while lucid is doing a front walk-over (flip using hands), across a small bridge, and trying to blow up the tires of an enemy truck that had advanced on me from somewhere, using a sort of 'heat-hand' attack, but to no avail. I have a feeling my lucidity lasted a good while, but I really don't remember much.

The only other thing I recall was escaping an area on bikes, though I can't remember if they were motorized or not. A friend was with me, riding along-side, and we were rushing down a grassy trail. I was carrying a sharpened piece of rebar that I had been using for a weapon and dropped it, during the escape. Being that it was the only thing I had, remember risking turning back around to pick it up, before completely riding away.

That's about all I recall, though.

      Dream Fragment:

I had Mrs. Gentry again - a wretched old witch of an art teacher that I had back in high school - but for some different subject than art. Can't remember what it was, though. Anyway, she was pretty much being a bitch, as usual. There was also something about someone telling me that they thought the novel I'm working on reads like a best-seller, which made me feel pretty good.

      Dream Fragment:

There was a huge battle going on, against some magical organization. I vaguely remember supernatural elements, such a ghosts, throughout the ordeal, but I really can't recall too much of it. At one point, I was either flying through a city or on a tall highway, looking out over a slum area. In one high-rise window, I saw a woman get eaten by the enormous face of some colossal, fanged monster that was obviously too big to actually fit in the building. When it chomped down on her, there was a wide splash of blood that completely blotted out the window. (I believe the concept of the 'monster too big for the room, eating her' was inspired by the novel I am writing.)

Later, I was back on the ground, and I was being attacked by a small army (of actual soldiers) that were the size of insects. They flooded the concrete and advanced on my with their tiny weapons, but they were no much for the flaming aerosol can that I torched them all with.
