      Dream
I was lying in my bed after waking at 5:40 due to a car crash in the neighbourhood that knocked out all the power (we only just got it back). I ended up having a WILD as I was falling asleep, I felt myself seep into the dream state while fully aware of what was happening. I lay still and let it come, as it was happening I moved my body in the dream world to the edge of a cliff by the beach, I hopped over the ledge still holding on with my hands and dropped myself down. I landed solid, I wasn't sure if it would work since I could still feel my bed. I then think I walked a bit before losing the dream state.. I stayed still and let myself WILD back in again, this time I told myself to stabilize. I did this by clapping a few times as I walked a long the beach I had been on previously. I started shouting something to see if I'd say it in RL, I couldn't actually tell because the sounds in the dreams doubled up and it just confused me. I lost the lucidity, then wriggled a bit and didn't manage to WILD again .

      Note to self: don't move.

      Non-dream
      Non-lucid
      Lucid

How do I start? I don't recall any dreams from last night which is because I couldn't fall asleep after nearly achieving a WILD. I think I fell asleep originally around 12-1, then woke up around 4 because of my alarm. I was super tired but got up to pee, then I ate a banana and just sat around with the light on for a few minutes. I headed back to bed and started doing SSILD cycles. I got through them pretty, I was convinced that I'd probably have a lucid if I could fall asleep fast enough. Turns out I just ended up lying awake for another hour because I was too awake from doing the SSILD cycles. This happens sometimes. After a while I became aware of the hypnogogic imagery being really strong. It was like at first I was in a day dream just waiting for sleep to hurry up, and then it became really vivid. I think at first I noticed that I was looking at my room and realized it was impossible because my eyes were meant to be shut. I felt myself being drawn into a dream, which was really unexpected. I tried to let myself go with the flow but screwed up and got kicked back into wakefulness. I calmed myself and tried to summon up the experience again. This time it kind of game and then faded. One more time, I manage to summon an image of a map with some basic imagery and symbols on it, I feel myself hurtling towards it though. "Oh my god are you serious?" I feel like I'm falling REALLY fast, my stomach lurches intensely and I get shocked back to wakefulness. "F*ck". I couldn't get it back after that and fell to sleep normally after another hour I think.

    3. #84 - Yet another unexpected lucid... which I forgot the details for

I just remember waking up at some point during the night when I realized in my dream that I had to be dreaming... When I tried to go back to sleep I had a WILD sensation, some vibrations and stuff. I just entered a lucid dream and then before I could really do much I faded back out. I managed to summon the WILD vibrations again to see if I could have a lucid dream properly this time but I couldn't get into the dream state, I just felt too alert.

These random lucid dreams might be a product of my current workload output for university and the stress associated with it, basically keep waking up during the early morning hours and struggling to fall back to sleep... I haven't even been thinking about getting lucid or recording my dreams, it's just happening.

    4. #59 - Random WILD

      by , 12-17-2014 at 10:17 AM (The Oneironaut's Odyssey)
      Black: Non-dream
      Blue: Non-lucid
      Red: Lucid

Okay so I woke up around 2-3, I haven't done anything with lucid dreaming for a month or so, haven't even written any dreams down. This is mostly because my baby wakes up a lot during the night so I just find it too difficult at the moment.

When I woke up I didn't get up or anything, I was going to go straight back to sleep, but I noticed that for some reason I could feel myself slipping into a dream, then the vibrations started (for me, this seems to occur mostly around my jaw with the unpleasant feeling of grinding my teeth). Next thing I knew I was in a dream, lucid and in my bedroom, I got out of bed and saw some crazy vivid flashy colours coming from objects sitting on a chair that isn't usually there. I turn my head to the wall and think to stabilize, I also realize I'm floating about as if it was low-gravity. I try shouting 'stabilize!' a few times but I can't really talk, I wake up a few seconds after I got into the dream and turned the light to make sure it wasn't an FA. My gf woke up too, and she confirmed in the morning that I did indeed turn the light wasn't too happy about it though lol.
