I am with my dad and brother, walking into an abandoned warehouse in which there are pallet racks loaded with boxes of what looks to be electrical materials. Some of the boxes are broken, spilling their contents onto the floor. One of the spilled boxes contained light switches which are now scattered across the floor. We walk to the end of the row and turn up an aisle, looking down the rows as we walk. In one row is an old forklift with a puddle of oil under it. At the end of the aisle, we stop at a dumpster and I can see several bags of colorful crimp-on electrical connectors that have been discarded.

Liking the colors, and deciding that I must have these in my collection of junk, I lean into the dumpster and retrieve a box of bagged connectors and hand them to my brother to put in the car. I reach into the dumpster again and upright a spilled box and load it with several bags of colorful connectors, then hand it to my brother. Again, I lean in and start to load a spilled box when a couple of bees fly up from the right side of the dumpster, fighting each other. My dad is talking about the bees, stating that they do not sting, but they can bite really bad. I think nothing of it and continue to fill a box. One of the bees buzzes by my head and I swat it away. It bites my hand upon contact then flies off. I put another bag into the box, then the bee flies up and bites my back and I wake up.

I'm roaming around in the old building our company used to be in. I head back toward the rear of the building where the warehouse was. After a bit, I end up in a boiler room. As I am moving, I notice that I am floating off the floor a little bit. I look up toward the ceiling and see a place where a bunch of pipes go through the ceiling. I fly all of the way to the top and look back to see that there is a guy sitting on a chair in the middle of the room watching me. I fly up over the pipes and turn around to see that the guy is flying up toward me. He comes up to my level and I say, “Hi there.” He says ,”Hey.”, then he leans in and gives me a kiss. I take both of his hands and we both float back down to the floor. Once at the floor, we talk for a bit, then I just look at him and say, “Wanna make out?” He says, “Hell yeah!” We both strip naked as fast as we can and run around all over the room, kissing and making out.

I am working on a project at a work station inside a small warehouse. There are several LCD monitors and pieces of camera equipment which are to be fitted into transport cases. There is a guy standing at a table beside me trying to put one of the screens into a duffel bag. I tell him that we need to get the hard shell cases for them.

I walk across the street into a store that sells cases. After looking around for a bit, I can't decide which cases are the right size. I buy a bunch of different cases and push them back into the warehouse on a large flat cart. I find that the cases are too small so I take them back and trade them for larger ones. I put one of the large cases on my bench and fit two of the large screens into it along with tripods and a smaller box of cameras and accessories.

The guy looks at me and asks, “What are you doing?” I reply, “This is what I do. I stuff weird equipment into cases and ship it out.”

I arrive at the location where I am scheduled to set up sound for an electronic music festival. There is a building on the right side and a field on the left side of the lane. There are a couple of RVs and several tents in the field. The building is quite large and it has several large roll-up doors. I stop my truck and trailer full of sound equipment in front of the building, then walk inside to find out where they would like me to park. I walk inside to see that there are several people already working on setting up lights and decorations for the stage.

I walk around the back of the stage and find the guy who hired me to set up and operate sound. He gives me a strange look, then says, “As it ends up, we're not going to use your sound system tonight. We will hold off and set yours up tomorrow.” I look at him and say, “That sucks.” He says, “I know, but I told this other guy he could have one day.” I ask, “Anyway, which door should I open so that I can pull my trailer in?” He points to the second door and says, “Pull it in along that side wall so you can plug your shore power directly into the main panel.”

I walk over to the door find the control box which has buttons labeled 'up', 'down', and 'stop'. I press the 'up' button and the door slowly raises, letting out some terrible squeaks on the way up. Once the door raises far enough, I press the 'stop' button and walk back to my truck. I drive inside and drop the trailer right next to the circuit panel, then park the truck outside. I pull out my shore power cable and find that the receptacle of a foreign type that my plug will not mate with. I drop the end of the cable and grumble to myself, “The stupid fucking outlet is never right. I'll fucking hot-wire it.”

I walk back toward the stage when as start a sound check. The highs are muddy and there is hardly any bass. There are a whole bunch of home-stereo type speakers scattered around everywhere. As I walk by, I see that one of them is being driven to its maximum cone excursion, but is hardly putting out any sound. The speaker cone looks like it is trying to jump out of the box.

I walk to the backstage area again and see that the guys are moving a bunch of tables from a back room. I look for a moment, then walk back to my trailer and go inside. The interior lights are on, so I turn them off and lay down on the couch and fall asleep. I suddenly wake up to a loud pop sound.
    5. Industrial Work Station / Stretching a Bolt

I am working at an industrial workstation in a large warehouse. There are pallet racks along the walls and each work station has some industrial shelving for storing supplies. I am working with another guy on some wireless electronics. One of the devices has an FM transmitter, but I find that I don’t have a radio at my work station to test it with. I walk over a couple of work stations to see if I can borrow a radio from one of the other guys.

Two workstations away, there are 3 guys cutting some large PVC pipe into short sections. I ask if I can borrow their radio, and one of the guys reaches to the shelf and hands me a small radio. As I am walking back to my work station a large forklift drives by, carrying a load of pickle jars. I step out of the way so he can turn the corner, then return to my work station. The other guy messes around with the radio for a bit, but it doesn’t seem to be working.

I leave my work station once again and go back to where the guys were cutting the pipe. Once I arrive, I find that they are trying to bolt a divider wall between two work stations, but the bolts are too short to reach through the metal and into the concrete anchor in the floor. I pick up a bolt and hold it beside the bracket to see that it is just a little short. I grab the bolt by the head in one hand. And grab the tip of the threaded end in the other hand. I pull at the bolt for a bit, trying to make it longer, but it refuses to increase in length.

(Note: I think that I may have achieved a low level of lucidity at the point where I attempted to stretch the bolt. I watched the bolt intently, waiting for the metal to stretch, but it never did. If I would have seen the smallest amount of change in the bolt, it is likely that I would have become fully lucid.)

    6. Laboratory Chase / Total Destruction

I am walking down an alley between several large industrial buildings. I find a loading dock with an open door, so I walk inside. There is a large laboratory inside with shelves full of glassware and some people working on something in the far corner. As I walk through the lab, a cute Asian guy is working on something. He looks up at me and gives me a 'come get me' grin, then runs off.

As he runs off, I look at my hands and see several extra fingers on both of them. I immediately become lucid, and chase him around the lab. He jumps over a lab bench, then starts to fly. I leap into the air and follow him out a window. I chase him around for a while, flying low through the alleys, then up into the sky. I become distracted and stop on a rooftop which has large tanks and other equipment on it. I look around, but there is no door or opening into the building. I look at the roof and summon a door. A door appears flat on the roof, so I open it and jump in.

I fall into a large shipping and receiving area of the warehouse. I get on a forklift and crash it through the wall. On the other side of the wall is more open warehouse space. I close my eyes for a moment and attempt to summon a car. When I open my eyes, there is a scooter standing in front of me. Deciding that this is not good enough, I close my eyes and try again. When I open my eyes again, there is a cement truck in front of me.

Giving up on the car idea, I jump up into the air and fly. I fly across the warehouse and phase through the cement block wall. Outside, I fly around for a bit and locate a steel deck which has several pipes with large valves on them. Some of the valves are open and some are closed. I turn all all of the valves to the opposite position and a building suddenly explodes in the distance.

I jump and fly to a rooftop which has another deck with several valves and large switches on it. I run around, flipping all of the switches, then turn some of the valves. Several other buildings burst into flames and explode. I fly high into the sky and watch everything burn down from a distance.

As I hover in the sky, I look at my digital watch and it shows 4:30AM on the display. I look at it a second time and it has turned into an analog watch which shows 12:00. Refusing to wear a watch in real life, I refuse to wear one in my dreams. I take off the watch and throw it into the fire.

In the distance, there is a huge, bright explosion. I quickly fly over to see that a Wal-Mart has exploded. There is debris scattered all over the parking lot. As I fly over, I see a large mirror laying on the ground. I line up with the mirror and fly down into it at full speed. When I hit the glass, I wake up.
    7. Loading Dock (fragment)

I'm not certain why, but my recall is horrible this morning.

I am at a large warehouse, helping a few others carry boxes from the back of a truck into a loading dock. A friend of mine is arguing with me about which box is the heaviest. Every box I lift is heavier, and I say, “This box is the heaviest.” each time I lift a box. Eventually, the boxes get so heavy that I can't lift them at all, so I slide them out of the truck and tumble them across the dock leveling plate.
