Lucid Dreams
DJ Log: November 17, 2017 4:00AM (USA Eastern) NON-DREAM NOTES DREAM LUCID (Note: First lucid moment in a long time. Also, first recall for a few months.) I am standing in an empty cement block building and for no apparent/recalled reason, I suddenly realize I am dreaming. I think for a second, "What are you supposed to do in a lucid? Oh yeah, fly." ...So I fly around the room for a little while before waking up. When I wake up, I'm kinda mad that I wasted a perfectly lucid moment just flying around inside an empty room.
DJ Log: October 6, 2015 5:00AM (USA Eastern) NON-DREAM NOTES DREAM LUCID I am standing in an elevator and notice that it is not behaving correctly. I push a couple of buttons and they do not light up and the control panels has too many buttons on it. It feels like the elevator has stopped completely but the door will not open. I look at my reflection in the chrome border around the door and see that my face is very distorted. I reach up to do a nose pinch and end up pushing my finger right through my nose. I quickly become lucid and float off the elevator floor, then I push myself through the mirror-like chrome around the door. After passing through the elevator wall, I appear into a large fancy hotel hallway. The carpet is the usual trippy hotel carpet, being mainly reds and purples in color. The walls are covered in flowery wallpaper with a contracting color scheme of yellows and greens. The ceiling has fancy copper tiles on it and large ----- I struggle for a moment to remember the ToTM's and remember something about phasing into a DC. I fly down the hallway, looking at each room in an attempt to find someone. I am scanning each door for an infrared heat signature and find a room with someone in it. I can see a reddish-orange outline of a person standing in the middle of the room. I push myself through the door and fly up to the DC. He stands there rather still, giving me a nervous look, almost knowing that something weird is about to happen. I fly around him a couple more times, then try to push myself inside of him. I get my arms in, then he pulls away from me a bit. I back up a little, then hit him full force, but I end up passing all the way through and coming out the other side. I turn around and more carefully align myself with him and manage to stay inside for a bit longer. It feels kinda warm and squishy while inside - very weird and mildly uncomfortable. I can see that I am standing inside something as there is a slightly opaque layer in front of me. It takes quite a bit of effort to keep myself inside the DC. It's kind of like balancing on top of a ball as even the slightest movement causes me to fall outward. I step out of him and look to see that he has quite a terrified look on his face. I giggle, then fly off and go back out through the door without opening it. I appear in a brightly lit room and before I even have a chance to stabilize, I suddenly wake up.

DJ Log: September 21, 2015 6:15AM (USA Eastern) NON-DREAM NOTES DREAM LUCID I ride a motorcycle into the parking deck by the courthouse. At the entrance, there is a sign that says there is a special motorcycle parking area on the top level. I wind my way through the parking deck and end up at an area where the lane ends into a doorway. I shut off my bike and walk it toward the door. As I approach, a cop comes outside and points to a smaller pathway behind me and says, That's where the motorcycles go. I turn around and walk the bike down the path and find that I am on a sidewalk which splits at the edge of the parking deck. To my right is a driver training course on which someone is taking their driving test on a horse. I stare for a moment in disbelief, shake my head, then turn the other way and push the motorcycle down the sidewalk. As I am walking, the motorcycle seems to get smaller. After a bit of walking, I look to my left and see a couple of people hanging out in a Jeep on the other side of a small parking lot. There are a couple of kids sitting on the back seat of the jeep and an older woman sitting in the passenger seat. A familiar looking guy with long blonde hair is standing next to it, watching me walk by. I wave and move on. As I continue walking, I notice that the motorcycle has shrunk to the size of a child's dirt bike. I pick up the bike with one hand and keep on walking. After a bit I look left again and see another group of people hanging out around an old Ford Bronco. Taking a closer look, it looks like almost the same group of people. I stop and stare at them for a moment and the two kids look at me, then turn and run off. The older lady gets out of the truck and wanders off as I start walking toward. The blonde guy just stands there, staring at me as I walk up. As I get closer, I realize that it's Andrej Pejic standing there. I can't believe my eyes, so I walk up and say, There is no way that you are actually standing in front of me. as I become lucid. I feel a tingling throughout my body as the dream quickly destabilizes. Before fading out, I look at Andrej and smile while saying, You're so pretty! I love your hair! then I wake up.
DJ Log: August 20, 2014 – 2:00AM (USA Eastern) • NON-DREAM • NOTES • DREAM • LUCID • I am staying the night at a friend's house after a large party. He has a roommate who sleeps in the corner of the room. I am not at all interested in the roommate, but he is flirting with me and won't leave me alone. My friend has a huge bed, so I pick a corner and try to go to sleep. The roommate pushes me off the bed and tries to drag me into his bed in the corner of the room. He keeps holding onto me and humping me. I finally get fed up and pick up my things and leave. I am a bit upset as I am leaving because I cannot find my camera bag. I look for a little bit then decide to just leave, assuming I had lost it at the party. If I left it at the house, my friend will give it back when he finds it. Just as I am walking out the door, my friend says, “Hold on a second. Here is your camera stuff.” He hands me a milk crate full of loose camera parts. I can see that the lens is detached from the camera, but I am happy enough just to have it back. I walk outside into a parking lot which is elongated in shape and has a couple of construction vehicles parked in it. I put my things into the truck and get in the driver's seat. As I am warming up the engine a bit, I am talking to a guy who is standing outside about what just happened. He asks, “Do you think it may have been a bad dream, or do you think it really happened?” I reply, “I don't know. It was just weird. The guy wouldn't leave me the fuck alone, so I left.” He gives me a rather strange look and points behind me and says, “Well then, what about that?” I turn around just in time to see a large amount of water blasting against the driver side of my truck. It was a strong stream of water similar to what would come from an open fire hydrant. Through the windshield and passenger side, I see the water fly through the air and against some of the houses on the other side of the parking lot. As quick as it started, it stops. I look left again and see a large truck with some kind of sprayer on the rear of it. I turn back and say to the guy, “I'm glad that my driver side window was shut when that happened. If it wasn't, that would be a big mess.” He just looks at me blankly. I stare back at him for a moment, thinking that he looks a little familiar. I am trying to connect the face and name, but cannot make the connection. Suddenly, another huge blast of water hits the side of my truck and passes through the air. This time, the water passes by slowly and hovers in the air as a solid blob of water rather than a spray. I look at it for a moment, then I look at the guy outside my passenger window. He stares back at me with a blank look at morphs into a surprised/shocked look as I become lucid. I rev my engine and tell the guy, “Now, it's time to fuck with this asshole for fucking with me.” I put my truck into reverse and fully depress the accelerator pedal. I roast off some tire while backing and whip the steering to the right and the truck does a 180 slide to the left. I stop for a moment and survey the scene. On the other side of the sprayer truck is a bunch of people with horses in a small corral made of temporary fending. The guy I was talking to is running away between a couple of the houses. I look back ahead and see a guy get out of and run away from the sprayer truck. I press the brake and accelerator pedal and start a burnout in the truck. When I see the tire smoke start to wrap around to the side windows, I let off the brake and aim for the guy that was spraying me with water. I steer around a bit to keep the tires spinning and sliding, yet moving forward while burning out. I run over a row of metal posts and a couple of signs while chasing the guy around. He ducks behind a stack of wooden crates full of corn. I turn and smash into the crates and run over the guy. I decide that I should fly out of there, but I can't get the truck off the ground. I look on the dash and see a button labeled “Fly”. When I press the button, I suddenly wake up. Fuuuu, I hate those wake-up buttons.

DJ Log: June 22, 2014 5:45AM (USA Eastern) NON-DREAM NOTES DREAM LUCID Yay! A quick flying lucid after a long dry spell. I am climbing a set of open mesh industrial metal stairs when I stop and look at the floor still moving away. This looks kind of strange, so I tell myself that I am dreaming and become lucid. A mild tingling sensation runs through my body and the lighting becomes much brighter in the room. I do a quick nose pinch to double-check before making a jump. I jump up and fly off the stairs and cruise around the room for a bit. I fly around for a little bit, then stop and try to remember the task of the month. I an unable to recall the tasks, so I fly as fast as I can into the window for a scene change. I hit the glass and slowly melt through it like ice cream melting and dripping through a strainer. Once through, I find myself in another room. Wanting to get outside, I turn around and fly into the wall and find that it offers much less resistance than the glass. The scene is outdoors without much detail. I attempt to stabilize for a bit, but I can feel my body laying in bed and the detail of the dream decaying quickly. Still lucid, I focus all of my energy on trying to spin. At first, I cannot move anything and I can feel myself transitioning out of the sleeping state as the dream darkens completely to black. I wake suddenly with a loud pop sound and my hand hits the headboard as I jump awake. (Note: I completely lost what happened in the beginning. At least I recalled the lucid part.)
DJ Log: September 17, 2013 8:30AM (USA Eastern) NON-DREAM NOTES DREAM LUCID I'm roaming around in an old abandoned apartment building. The air smells musty and the paint is peeling off the walls. There are no lights, but I can see with whatever light is coming in the windows. I walk into a large room which has a bed and some other furniture in it. There is a door on the other end of the room which leads into a hallway with a lot of doors. I open the first door and see an old wooden stairway leading into the attic. The plaster is broken off the walls and I can see the lathe strips. There is a bare light bulb hanging by wires from the ceiling. I close the door and open the second door. There is an empty room with a large sliding door that goes outside onto a deck. I walk out and from the deck, I can see that I am on the fourth floor. I can see the air conditioners on the roof of the building next to me. I go back to the hallway and open the third door which leads out to a parking lot. I walk into the parking lot for a bit then stop and try to figure out how I got to the ground level without walking down any stairs or taking an elevator. I turn around and look at the building and I can see the 4th floor deck which I was on a moment ago. I start to question things for a moment, then decide to do a test. I jump up off the ground lightly and I could feel that I was much lighter than I should be. I become lucid and fly toward the deck on the 4th floor. I land on the deck and say, Fuck yeah, I know I was dreaming. Can't fool me. I look down and see that there is a guy standing on the ground looking up at me. I go inside the building and everything looks the same as it did when I was there before. I go to the end of the hallway and into a bedroom and find a bunch of clothes laying on the floor. I turn around and walk out to find something more interesting when I suddenly wake up.
DJ Log: June 13, 2012 – 5:00AM (USA Eastern) • NON-DREAM • NOTES • DREAM • LUCID • (Note: I woke up around 3:00AM and decided to get up for a bit. I poured a tall glass of organic apple juice with a little elderberry concentrate added, and then I sat at the computer reading some posts on the DV forums. I read a thread titled I returned to bed around 4:00AM.) I find myself standing in a small bathroom in an unfamiliar house. The walls have a dark floral wallpaper and the ceiling is covered with decorative square copper tiles. There is no toilet, but there is a tall urinal along the wall. The bathtub is an antique copper claw-foot tub. I look at the fancy copper trimmed mirror and I do not see my reflection. I immediately become lucid and jump into the mirror. Once on the other side of the mirror, I am standing in an old musty root cellar. The walls are covered with sagging wooden shelves which are full of old dusty wine bottles. There is a single light bulb hanging by its wires in the middle of the ceiling. I walk over and pick up a bottle and I struggle for a second to read the label. I try to pull out the cork, then I reach in my pocket and pull out a cork remover. The wine smells like pungent cheese but it tastes like water. I take a second taste and the flavor slightly develops a sweet rose wine flavor which fades quickly. Thinking that my lucidity is fading with the flavor, I look up at my surroundings and see that the root cellar has changed into a dungeon. There are rusty chains and shackles hanging on the walls and there are torches on posts sticking out of the floor. I walk over to the wall and feel one of the chains. The rust is gritty and the metal is very cold. There are thick sheets of cobwebs covering all of the walls. When I pull the chain away from the wall, another mirror is revealed. I see my reflection for a split second, then I decide not to get stuck in the mirror. I pull the chains away and take a step back, then jump into the mirror. On the other side of the mirror, I find myself standing in a small dark bedroom. There is a small dim lamp on a table next to an open window. The curtains are hanging out of the window, blowing in the wind. The bed and dresser are antique Victorian style and there is scratchy music playing from an antique phonograph in the corner. The hardwood floor is dusty and creaks as I walk. I stop and look at a painting on the wall of an old farm scene when I hear someone cough. I look over to see that fOrceez is sitting on a chair next to the phonograph, reading a book. I take a couple of steps toward him and he lowers the book and looks at me over the top of his reading glasses, then he asks me, “How was your flight?” I reply, “It was quite fun, but I'm not done yet!” I quickly turn around and see that the mirror is still on the wall where I came through. I take several steps back and run into the mirror. The surface does not give way at all and I bounce off and fall on my ass. fOrceez laughs as I stand up, dust myself off, and glare at the mirror. I cannot see my reflection, rather just a dark gray TV static pattern. Deciding that I'll just find another mirror elsewhere, I jump out of the window and fall into the ocean. (Note: For the first time that I can recall, falling did not wake me up or trigger a FA. I'm marking the last part as non-lucid because I think my lucidity was lost during the fall, but I'm fairly certain that I remained in the same dream.) I hit the cold water and struggle for a moment to swim back to the surface. Once I regain a couple of breaths, I find that I am swimming in a very stormy ocean far from land. Just as I turn around to see if I am near anything, lightning strikes the water just in front of me. I suddenly wake up with the sound of the thunder still rumbling through my head.

DJ Log: March 28 2012 8:00PM (USA Eastern) NON-DREAM NOTES DREAM LUCID I am standing in the kitchen of an unfamiliar house, trying to remember why I am there. I remember laying down to take a nap, but cannot recall why I am standing in the kitchen. Suddenly, I realize that I must be dreaming and become lucid. I look at the window and my first thought is that I want to jump out of the window and fly around. I run toward the window, then stop and decide to do a quick RC before I make a complete ass out of myself by slamming face first into the glass. I pinch my nose and I can still breathe with my nose pinched and my mouth shut. I reach out and tap on the glass with my finger. The glass is quite solid and rattles a bit in the frame. I press my fingertips against the glass and it starts to give. The glass becomes stretchy and my fingers partially press through the glass, much like pressing fingers into a stretchy plastic bag. I can feel that it is cold on the other side of the window. I slightly release pressure on the window and the glass pushes my fingers out and returns to its normal shape. I take a few steps back and jump into the window. When I hit the glass, I bounce off and nearly fall on the floor. Being determined to escape through the window, I slide the window open and try to climb out. The cords are broken on the sash weights so the window closes itself before I can climb out. Once again, I push the window up and try to climb out. Once I am hanging halfway out the window, I see a guy standing on the sidewalk, staring at me intently. I sit on the window sill and look up at the window. The paint is peeling off of the wood frame. I reach up and peel off a large piece of paint, then look back to see if that guy is still staring at me. He looks at me for a moment, then walks off. I jump out of the window and land on the ground outside. Suddenly, I wake up.

DJ Log: February 2, 2012 11:15PM (USA Eastern) NON-DREAM NOTES DREAM LUCID I am clicking around the 'net and almost fall asleep in my chair. I decide that I should hop in bed and take a quick nap. The time is ~9:45pm. I lay down and fall asleep very quickly. I awaken from a minimalistic dream, standing in darkness. I realize that I had just awakened, but I must still have my eyes closed because I cannot see anything at all. Knowing this, I decide to make an attempt at DEILD. I concentrate on keeping my eyes closed and then I try to remember where I was just a moment ago. I remember that I was laying in my bed, trying to remember what the dream was about. I cannot recall even the smallest detail, other than I was just dreaming. Suddenly, I make the realization that I am not laying in my bed, but I am standing. Before I can gather myself together and stabilize, I wake up. I try hard to immediately settle down, but my eyes are wide open and I am too alert and excited to re-enter the dream state, much less return to sleep right away.
DJ Log: January 15, 2012 – 12:30AM (USA Eastern) • NON-DREAM • NOTES • DREAM • LUCID • (Note: I wasn't feeling very energetic yesterday, so I took a short nap in the early afternoon. During this nap, there was a brief dream, but I had no recall. By 11:00pm, I was falling asleep in my chair as I was surfing the 'net.) I went to bed and my body fell asleep very quickly. I felt a couple waves of rumbling vibrations, so I opened my eyes for a moment and could see my room. I closed my eyes again and the vibrations returned for a brief moment. After the second set of vibrations had passed, I feel a strong lateral shifting. It felt as if there were an earthquake and my bed was rocking sideways. I struggled to remain motionless and enjoy the ride. During this time, I could hear a sound which sounded like a heavy train was going at full speed down the tracks. After a moment, the feeling of motion subsided and the sound faded out. (Note: I'm marking this first segment as non-lucid, but I already had a low level of lucidity. I usually don't flag anything as lucid unless I'm fully lucid.) I am standing in absolute darkness, listening to a loud partially squelched screaming in my ears. It sounds like a mixture of microphone feedback, white noise, and a low rumble. The sound crackles and fades in and out quickly. I reach up and cover my ears, but the sound just gets louder. I look forward and can barely see that I am standing in front of a mirror. The light is very dim and I can see my face in the mirror, but things get a bit interesting. As I look into the mirror, the sound fades away. The edges of my face are irregular and are moving slowly. I become fully lucid and attempt to stabilize. I lift my arms so I can see my hands in the mirror. Upon examination, I count 6 fingers on each hand. I look back at my face and it is melting in the mirror. My nose falls off and my eyes are turning sideways and melting off my face. Suddenly, I remember that there is something I am supposed to do. I remember the basic task of the month, so I look around for the right place to set off some fireworks. There is nobody in this area, so I momentarily look at the ground and teleport to a crowded library. Looking back up, I can see that I made it to the library. There are ~100 DCs in there, some of them just staring straight at me. I guess I startled them when I suddenly appeared in the middle of the room. I reach into my pocket and pull out a lighter. Looking in the shelf next to me, I see a huge roll of firecrackers. I flick the lighter and light the fuse. As the fuse sparkles and smokes, I look around the library and see that nobody seemed to notice. The fuse burns into the roll and the first firecracker pops. I suddenly wake up, cussing.

DJ Log: December 15, 2011 – 6:30AM (USA Eastern) · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · I am browsing through some boxes of records at a small record store in the mall. I find a couple of 5-LP sets that I like so I carry then over to the counter and pick up a shopping basket. Near the counter, the sales guy is in an argument with two guys about messing up his display. It looks like they may have knocked over a shelf, as there are CDs all over the floor. I go back to the record display and dig around a bit more. I pick up a Kruder and Dorfmeister record sleeve and look inside to see that there is actually a CD in there. I quickly put it back on the shelf, then I notice that there are other boxes of records under the display that are quite disorganized. I sit down on the floor and dig through one of the boxes. While digging, one of the employees comes up to me and asks, “Can I help you find anything?” I reply, “I'm just browsing around. Thanks.” I pick up a box of 7” records to find another box under it. They kind of look like 78's, but they are only about 4” (10cm) in diameter. The employee sees me looking at these and asks, “Would you like to play any of those? There is a special player.” He walks into the back room, then returns with a large, heavy box. He pulls out what looks like a record player without the platen on it. He plugs it in and turns it on. The shaft in the center starts to spin and he tells me to stick one of those small records on there. I look back at the box of small records, and they have all turned into wooden disks which are half-spherical in shape, perhaps like a half of a coconut shell, with a metal ring in the center which has some serrated edges on it. I pick one up and look at it strangely, then look at this player which he brought out. He says, “Just put it on and it will play.” I place one of these things on the spindle and it spins a half turn, then flops over to the side and makes a nasty scraping sound. Being disappointed with the sound, I pick up the wooden thing and put it back in the box. I tell the guy, “I'll just stick with the regular records, thanks.” I walk away, then see a couple other people looking through some records on a table. The table is inside an aluminum and glass box which looks like a large phone booth, or perhaps a bus stop shelter. As soon as I get inside the box, the door closes behind me. A young Asian girl looks through the glass and says, “auto wash.” I try to open the door, but it is locked from the outside. Suddenly, water starts spraying all over me as if I am inside a dishwasher. I pull my phone out of my pocket and it shorts out and smokes a bit, then I drop it on the floor. I step back and try to bully my way through the door, but it won't budge. I turn around and run into the glass as hard as I can, and find myself laying on the floor outside the box. I stand up and notice that I have immediately dried off. I look up and two guys are giving me a weird look. I look back at my clothes, then lift my arms and look at my hands. Becoming a bit suspicious, I look back at the guys and they have a terrified look on their face. I look at my hands again and become lucid. I look back at the two guys and they are stepping backwards, staring at me with terrified looks on their faces. I take a step toward them and say, “You can't fool me, I'm fucking dreaming. You missed your chance to prove otherwise.” I jump up and down and say, “Look ma, I'm fucking dreaming! Yay! Ain't this cool?” Becoming bored with this scene, I decide to fly out through the wall and see what's on the other side. I levitate off the ground and those two guys run away as fast as they can. I look at the curtain covering a window and say, “This looks like a good spot.” I fly into the window and pass through without resistance. On the other side is the main corridor of the shopping mall. I continue flying and pass through the next wall which leads out to the street. Once outside, I stop flying and settle onto the ground. I walk along for a bit, watching as everyone stops whatever they're doing, looks at me with a startled look, then scatters like roaches. Once I get around the corner, the DCs are not reacting as strangely. I walk along for a bit and enter a train station. The lines at the counter are long, so I reach into my pocket and summon a ticket. I pull out a ticket that says, ”Free ride anywhere you want” and then I proceed through the building and out into the terminal. When I enter the terminal, I spot Oneironaut Zero standing near a light pole with a couple other guys. O is wearing a rainbow hat just like mine. I walk up to him and say, “I love that hat!” He laughs a bit, then continues talking with the other guys, so I start to walk away. As I turn, He says, “Hey, Jim. Sorry, I was deep in thought. You might want to watch this.” I turn around and walk back up to him to see that one of the other guys is lighting up a bowl. The guy takes a hit, then passes it to me. I fire it up, then suddenly wake up.

DJ Log: September 24, 2011 – 5:15AM (USA Eastern) · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · (Note: I drank a full glass of mixed organic tart cherry, pomegranate, and apple juice about an hour before going to bed. Additionally, during WBTB, I drank another half glass of the same, then repeated the following mantra while falling asleep, “Earth, Air, Fire, Water: I will lucid dream tonight.”) I awaken on a couch, stark naked, trying to figure out where I'm at. I ask myself, “How much did I drink last night and who ended up taking me home with them?” I rub my eyes for a moment, then look around the room while asking myself, “Where the fuck am I? Why does my head hurt so much? Did someone put something in my drink again? Have I been raped again? God, I hope they at least enjoyed it, because I can't remember anything.” As my eyes start to clear up, the living room triggers a lot of distant memories. This is a place I have been many times before. I sit up on the couch while looking around the room, trying to put the pieces together. The familiar medium oak wood paneling on the bottom half of the walls and light floral wall paper, separated by a dark chair rail. The large wooden console TV adds a hint of familiarity, as well as the classic 1970's dishrag color scheme sofa. A familiar canary yellow Western Electric rotary-dial phone is hanging on the wall and I've seen these yellow and pink floral curtains before. The circular textured tan and brown ultra-shag carpet only appears in one place in my memory cells. After a brief moment, I fully realize that I am in my grandmother's old house-trailer and quickly become lucid. I look around the living room and kitchen for my grandmother, but she is nowhere to be found. The couch is not comfortable to sleep on, so I pick up my pillow, blanket, dream journal, flashlight and a couple bottles of water, then wander toward the bedrooms to find the spare bed. The master bedroom has a king size bed with 2 people sleeping in it. Strangely, neither of them is my grandmother. The guest bedroom has no bed at all and is packed full of random junk. I go back into the living room and drop everything on the floor, and then say to myself, “Let's try this again.” I look at the floor and watch my feet lift off the carpet. I hover slightly off the floor and look toward the bedrooms again. I feel the dream collapsing quickly, so I look back at 'the floor and rub my hands together. My vision is almost completely blacked out, so I slowly close my eyes and yell, “STABILIZE NOW!!!” as loud as I can. I gently open my eyes and see that I am back in the same room and the clarity has improved significantly. Now, I can smell the mold in the air conditioner and the woody smell that the house-trailer always had. My eyes are able to perceive the flickering of the circular fluorescent ceiling light and my ears can detect the soft buzzing from the ballast. The extra plush carpet tickles my feet slightly as I hover just slightly above it. I glide my way back to the bedrooms again. This time, the master bedroom is absolutely huge with four king size beds in it that they are all empty. I float through, then turn around and go towards the guest bedroom. The guest bedroom is even bigger than the master bedroom and it has a king size water bed next to a couple of windows. On the opposite wall is a huge sectional sofa with a low table and some lamps. I turn back to the bed and decide that this is where I am going back to sleep at. The water temperature is perfect and its covered with a huge, fluffy blanket. There are several pillows stacked up and it looks really comfortable. The headboard has bookshelves on both sides that are full of antique books and various ornamental items. As I stand there looking at the bed, something sparkles in the window. I walk over to the window and see nothing but darkness outside. Deciding that I must see what's on the other side, I try to open the window, but it's stuck. I look around the room for something to break the window with, but there is nothing solid enough. I hold my hand in front of my face and summon a baseball bat. I put my hand down and see a wooden baseball bat leaning in the corner. I pick up the bat and whack the window, knocking a small piece of glass out. Realizing that the glass is going to put up a fight, I draw the bat back behind me and pummel the ever living shit out of the window. After several strikes, the glass gives way and falls out of the window frame. I float up and climb out the window. There is a ledge under the windows which connects to a large 3rd floor deck. I hover around for a moment, and then do a nose pinch RC to reassure my lucidity and validate the dream state before I do something stupid, like jumping off a 3rd story ledge. I step to the edge of the ledge, then jump up and fly into the sky. My first thought is that I want to fly as high as I can and see if I can still see the house. I start to fly and the dream starts to fade. I stop and rub my hands together again and stabilize once again. Suddenly, I remember the tasks of the month: walk on water and control at least two of the elements. I look down and see a swimming pool. I fly down and hit the water, but sink quickly. I jump out of the pool, and then look to my right to see a couple of DCs hanging some very large balloons on a clothes line. I take a couple of steps toward them and they immediately stop and look at me with a frightened look. I raise my arms into the air and command the air to fill one of the balloons. The balloon quickly inflates and floats upward on the clothes line. As this happens, the DCs eyes get wide as they take a couple of steps back and stare at the balloon, gasping in disbelief. I look at them and say, “What's wrong? Wanna see that again?” I inflate a second balloon, but the others will not take any air because they have large holes in them. I jump up and fly past the balloons, then realize that I need to control another element. I turn around in mid-flight and look at the balloons that wouldn't take air. While in flight, I raise my left arm and clench my fist, then point my fist down toward the Earth. When I raise my arm, there is a hole in the Earth and the displaced dirt is floating just above me. While keeping the displaced piece of Earth up with my left hand, I use telekinesis to push the balloons and the clothes line into the hole, and then I bury them with the dirt that I was keeping elevated with my left hand. At this point, both DCs shriek in terror and run away. Feeling quite satisfied, I start to fly away, then realize that I should try the pool again. I fly over to the pool and land on the deck by the water's edge. I stare intently at the water for a moment, then take a step onto it. The surface gives way, but I am able to walk about ankle-deep in the water. The water is very squishy and soft, but it supports my weight. As I walk, the water makes a sound similar to that of walking in wet shows. I walk across the pool, then I turn around and raise both arms, commanding the water to solidify. Instantly, the ripples in the water stop moving and the surface takes on a matte finish. I carefully step onto the surface again and it feels sort of like walking on a water bed. The surface feels solid, but it's squishy underneath. I walk across the pool again and step off onto the deck. Being thoroughly satisfied with the accomplishments, I decide that I should wake up and write it all in my dream journal. I close my eyes and say, “Wake up! NOW!” I awaken into my bed and reach over to grab my dream journal. I flip open the cover and slide the pen out of the coils. I reach up above my pillow to turn on my flashlight and it won't turn on. I think to myself, “Shit, I must have bumped it last night and the batteries are dead.” I open my eyes and see a dark room. I press the switch on the flashlight again and the circle of light appears on the ceiling, but no light is reflected onto my journal, nor the rest of the room. I look at the flashlight and the bulb looks like a black hole which is sucking in all of the light around it. I press the switch again and the bulb lights up brightly, but there is no light in the room. I give myself a nose pinch RC and it passes. Becoming a bit confused now, I look at my left hand and count 7 fingers and a thumb. I say to myself, “Nice! False awakening strikes again, dumbass!” as I become lucid once again. I quickly jump out of bed and turn around to see myself still laying in the bed. I think to myself, “This is very nice, but I don't have time for an OOBE.” I slap myself in the face a couple of times while yelling, “WAKE UP AND WRITE THIS SHIT DOWN BEFORE YOU FORGET IT! ...WAKE UP NOW! ...DO IT! ...DO IT NOW!” I wake up in my bed once again and pass both a nose pinch and finger count. I reach over and grab my dream journal, flip it open and slide the pen out of the coils. I reach up and press the switch on the flashlight that is wedged between the mattress and the wall. The flashlight lights up properly and I commence logging this entry. (Note: My maternal grandmother passed away about 17 years ago. She was the only relative that would listen to me and what I had to say. She was always interested in having conversations about anything I wanted to talk about. Most of my other aunts and such were not open to hearing anything that a younger person had to say. They would always say things like, “Children should be seen and not heard.” My grandmother was also the only relative that was not obsessed over the fact that I had no interest in girls. My aunts and uncles would always harass me and ask when I was going to get married and start having kids. Needless to say, it was always an enjoyable time to visit with her, and it was a very sad moment when she passed on.)

DJ Log: September 20, 2011 7:00AM (USA Eastern) · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · I am riding a small motorcycle through the woods at my parent's old house. The ground is moist and muddy in some places. A strip of dense fog follows the stream through the woods. The air smells like wet dirt and leaves. The motorcycle makes no sound as it moves, other than the sounds of the ground and leaves squishing under the tires. I arrive at a tree-house that I built and my brother is standing there. He points at an abandoned house near the edge of the woods and says, "We will have to knock this one down. It took on quite a bit of damage during the storm." A couple of the windows are broken out and some of the roof has been torn off. We walk over to the house and check it out. The first floor is a garage with an old Chevrolet car in it. The second level is missing a wall on one side. There is a lot of junk on the second floor, including some high-voltage transformers and a Tesla coil. My brother wanders inside to check things out. I look around through the old car to find that there are bees in there. Returning to my motorcycle to retrieve a can of bee spray from the saddle bag, I spray the bees and then open the car door to find even more bees. After spraying all of the bees, I get on a scissor lift and raise myself to the second floor. I look around for a moment, then look back at the scissor lift. I think that this is strange for a moment, so I push my finger through the palm of my hand and become lucid for a split second before waking up.

DJ Log: July 31, 2011 7:15AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · I am walking down an alley between several large industrial buildings. I find a loading dock with an open door, so I walk inside. There is a large laboratory inside with shelves full of glassware and some people working on something in the far corner. As I walk through the lab, a cute Asian guy is working on something. He looks up at me and gives me a 'come get me' grin, then runs off. As he runs off, I look at my hands and see several extra fingers on both of them. I immediately become lucid, and chase him around the lab. He jumps over a lab bench, then starts to fly. I leap into the air and follow him out a window. I chase him around for a while, flying low through the alleys, then up into the sky. I become distracted and stop on a rooftop which has large tanks and other equipment on it. I look around, but there is no door or opening into the building. I look at the roof and summon a door. A door appears flat on the roof, so I open it and jump in. I fall into a large shipping and receiving area of the warehouse. I get on a forklift and crash it through the wall. On the other side of the wall is more open warehouse space. I close my eyes for a moment and attempt to summon a car. When I open my eyes, there is a scooter standing in front of me. Deciding that this is not good enough, I close my eyes and try again. When I open my eyes again, there is a cement truck in front of me. Giving up on the car idea, I jump up into the air and fly. I fly across the warehouse and phase through the cement block wall. Outside, I fly around for a bit and locate a steel deck which has several pipes with large valves on them. Some of the valves are open and some are closed. I turn all all of the valves to the opposite position and a building suddenly explodes in the distance. I jump and fly to a rooftop which has another deck with several valves and large switches on it. I run around, flipping all of the switches, then turn some of the valves. Several other buildings burst into flames and explode. I fly high into the sky and watch everything burn down from a distance. As I hover in the sky, I look at my digital watch and it shows 4:30AM on the display. I look at it a second time and it has turned into an analog watch which shows 12:00. Refusing to wear a watch in real life, I refuse to wear one in my dreams. I take off the watch and throw it into the fire. In the distance, there is a huge, bright explosion. I quickly fly over to see that a Wal-Mart has exploded. There is debris scattered all over the parking lot. As I fly over, I see a large mirror laying on the ground. I line up with the mirror and fly down into it at full speed. When I hit the glass, I wake up.
