    Hai Der!

    1. My father, the maniac

      by , 01-30-2013 at 07:49 PM (Exterminate)
I remember a small fragment of Mckenna at the sound booth of our church, playing on the computers and treating the booth as her room. I remember her saying she had free internet access.

I have no idea if that previous dream had anything to do with the main one, but I thought I'd mention it.

The characters involved in this dream:
My dream dad, who looked nothing like my dad irl. He was in his 30s
My dad's accomplice, who seemed to have ill intentions. He looked like he was about 27
Me, who was not me, but the son of the father in this dream. I was about 14 in this dream
My friend, blond haired, never seen him irl. I am assuming he was about the same age as I.

So dad picks me and my friend up from school, and asks us if we want to go watch him do his job with him. We enjoy the opportunity, and join him. My friend and I get in the back seat of this kind of car. Dad and his friend get in the front, with dad driving. I am not listening too much to the two in front, I am just enjoying the ride. The guy in the passenger seat mutters something about "You may want to take a turn here, there are 17 Microsoft buildings around here." Dad goes across the road, and then zooms off road, just barely avoiding running into some buildings. We end up going airborne a few times as dad races across town for reasons unknown. At one point we end up in a helicopter and fly across town. We end up on the other side of town but crash into a fence at the top of a hill. Down at the bottom of the hill is a small lake, enough to be noticeable. The area looks mostly desert-y, and it appears the place we need to be is on the other side of the lake. Even though we crashed, it didn't seem to damage the helicopter. I say as a sarcastic remark to dad "I think we hit the world border." The reason I said this of course is because we just raced across town for no reason, then carelessly crashed into a fence. I did not know quite what was going on. Dad pilots the helicopter over the lake, and to the other side, then says we need to get out. He turns the helicopter sideways so it'd be easier to get out. First comes dad's friend, then my friend, then me. We get out of the helicopter and land softly in the water below. Dad turns off the helicopter as he jumps out. The helicopter falls into the water as we make a break for it. We end up at the building, and dad and his friend start talking too quietly for me to overhear. The dream ends with me wondering what I'd just been through.

    2. Sharing the bible with some mexican guy

      by , 08-29-2012 at 04:13 PM (Exterminate)
Wow, it has been a few days since I remembered any dreams, but this one was fun, it lasted about a half an hour to an hour.

So in Mexico, I don't know how/why we were there, I get caught by this man, he says Christians can't talk about the bible there. I get sort of mad, and start talking to him for a long time about why I believe what I believe, hearing his background, giving my background. I do not remember the details of the conversation. He told me the reason he hated Christians was because of a few years ago, when Obama was a Senator, he was told a verse from Ezekiel that sounded hypocritical. He then backed it up saying that "it says similarly at this spot in the bible about this." I responded he was quoting from the old testament out of context, and that he should first read those verses in context, then read the new testament before the old. I remember thinking I had been there a long time, then my dad comes in from downstairs, which is weird because I know we were outside, on some benches. Anyway, he starts reading off some Doonesbury comic to me, I listen, but then tell him I gotta go, I say that I hope what I had said meant anything to him, he said he would read the new testament, or at least part of it, but he doesn't expect any change. I take one last look at his face as the dream ends, and I swear to God he looked just like Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction.

It was interesting to me just how long the conversation went on. I recited 3 full bible verses throughout the conversation, none of which I have memorized. I wish I could recall what I had said in the dream. I'd like to reference those and see if my subconscious recalled the correct verses or if it was just spewing gibberish.

    3. Familiar Apartment

      by , 08-25-2012 at 01:50 AM (Exterminate)
Okay, I had a previous entry about a "familiar apartment", but that looked a lot like a cabin, this was about an actual apartment.

I do not remember what brings it up, but I took this apartment that I owned, and made it into a house. It was big, nice, and expensive. I rented a room out to a young couple. I can recall all of this happening before the dream, and the apartment seemed very familiar, as if I had made it in a previous dream. How long ago, I have no clue. I go inside, recall some things I had done to the place: painting it, making little Bibles with different designs, etc. Apparently the couple had gotten married and had a child there, so I had been gone a while. I decided to give them the whole place. I then remember saying to someone "I recall a memory perfectly in full detail..." then I go basically back into this false memory(must be a dream memory o.O) about my dad getting in a motorcycle accident. I do not know how much of this is what happened in the dream, but I was sitting in the front seat of a car, and my dad gets out, goes into this "college"(didn't look like a college) that had some mean looking guys in their twenties in front. He comes out after a few minutes, then on the way to the bank(which we were parked in front of), they beat my dad up and threw him into a motorcycle. The dream ended after that..

This all seemed to happen pretty quickly, it was mostly a memory of previous dreams I think. It was weird that as I recalled memories I then entered into those memories as I was telling them. Also, when in the car I was really young, I'd guess 3-5.

    4. My first two lucid dreams! <3

      by , 08-23-2012 at 06:54 PM (Exterminate)
I was sort of depressed that I could not recall any dreams from the night before. I woke up about 6:20 judging how no-one was awake, and I never heard the alarm. 10 minutes pass, then the 6:30 alarm goes off, wakes my brother up(As you can likely guess, we share a room), it causes a lot of noise.. I decided it would be a good morning to try a WILD. I laid down for a few minutes(felt like 20-30) then felt really relaxed. I start saying "I WILL have a lucid, I WILL have a lucid." After about two minutes sleep paralysis hit, and I thought of my living room, said to myself "stabilize lucidity", and the lucid dream starts.

      First lucid:
I was standing in my living room. It was so clear and vivid that I couldn't believe it. I thought to myself how I was lying in bed just a moment ago, and now here I am in a new place. A new world surrounding me. I walked into my parents' room, there I saw a light bulb in a socket on the wall which didn't belong there. I unscrewed it, then held it in my hand trying to light it up as it was in its socket a second ago. I failed..I then went around the corner to see my dad playing Zynga's Frontierville (a game which he has never played before), he asks me how to obtain a whip then I lose interest. I go back to the living room, close my eyes for a second to change scenery, and woke up.

Seems to be a mix of layer two and layer three lucid dream since I got pretty distracted by what my dad was doing. I wonder if I woke up due to my dream time being over, excitement, lack of goals, or because of my waking environment. Like I said, me and my brother share a room, and since he was already awake, he started making noise. He also had the light on right above me which may have prevented a deep sleep.
I fell back asleep after like 45 minutes. Not sure just what this dream started with..

      Second lucid-A mansion, with prisoners:
I appear to be in a lab with like 4-5 scientists around me. I am a guinea pig for a new piece of technology that would allow you to enter into lucid dreams at will from a waking state. Sort of like doing a WILD, but with technology, making it more akin to EILD. I get this chip that you hold in your hand, it supposedly makes you lucid. So I go into what looks/feels like a tanning bed, hold the chip in my hands and fall asleep quick.
I "wake up" in this huge mansion of sorts. I seem to know in the back of my mind it is a dream, but I lose focus on that and get involved with the story instead. I moderate a minecraft server, and it seems a bunch of my friends from the server are in a prison, apparently being kept there by another player and antagonist on the server called EnderMilk. After some effort, I find him, but try to keep my distance. I phase through a wall to see the prisoners, and they look so helpless. I try to find a way to help them. I go back inside the mansion through a window, but the dream destabilizes and I wake up for real.

Well, two lucid dreams, even if they were kinda short-lived it is a start!

After looking back on these experiences, it seems the second dream was more of a mix of layer zero and layer two just barely. This is one of those experiences where people think they dream of being lucid rather than actually being lucid.
