Lucid Dreams
DJ Log: July 31, 2011 5:45AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · I am at a truck repair shop, picking up my truck after I had them replace the alternator. I am arguing with the guy behind the counter about my repair. He claims that they only repaired the alternator, when I had asked them to replace it entirely. He repeats that it is fixed and he was able to save me some money by just fixing it. I pull out a credit card to pay for the repair, but when the card is swiped through the reader, it falls apart into several pieces. I pull out my wallet and see that all my other cards have also crumbled into pieces. Another customer is talking on a Blackberry phone, when it suddenly falls apart into several pieces. I watch the internals from the phone fall into two pieces and land on the service counter. One of the pieces still has some illuminated LEDs on it. The guy who was talking on the phone says it won't work anymore, but I am convinced that it still works. I pick up the two big pieces and mash them back together. The display illuminates and displays hieroglyphic-like characters. The buttons no longer have the number caps on them, but I am able to dial my cell phone and hear it ring. I hand the guy his phone back and say, "It's fixed. Give it a try." He looks at me puzzled, then walks away. I walk out into the parking lot and locate my truck. As I am walking toward it, I can see that there are jumper cables hanging out from under the hood. As I walk around, I open the door and look inside. My ignition interlock has been removed and there is a bundle of wires hanging out from under the dash. I stick the keys into the ignition, then walk around to the rear of the truck. The bed is full of high voltage electrical equipment. There is a large high voltage multiplier and several large transformers in the bed. I'm not certain what induces lucidity at this moment. I become lucid as I get into the driver's seat. I turn the key, but the battery is too dead to crank over the engine. I try the key again, but it will not start. I look into the sky for a moment, then summon lightning to give the battery energy. A large bolt of lightning strikes the jumper cables and the engine starts. I shift into a gear and push the accelerator pedal to the floor. The truck speeds up and I decide to run over everything in sight. I crash through fences, buildings, and several other vehicles. After crashing through nearly everything in sight, I hit the dirt embankment at the edge of the parking lot. The truck jumps into the air and starts to fly. I fly away from the shop, then I wake up.
DJ Log: July 25, 2011 7:00AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: NON-DREAM NOTES DREAM LUCID I am walking into a garage with a small workshop area off to the side. There are a couple of covered cars sitting in the garage, as well as many piles of parts. There is a large workbench in the back of the garage with disassembled engines on it. There is a motorcycle frame on a stand near the bench. In the corner of the garage is a doorway which leads into a smaller workshop area with a bench, a toolbox and some power tools on the bench. I walk into the workshop area and find a guy sitting on a stool at the bench. When I walk in, he looks at me and smiles as he is working on a carburetor. I ask his name, and he replies, I'm David. We talk for a bit about his Toyota trike. He explains to me all about how he is changing the V-6 engine out for a supercharged 4-cylinder with much more horsepower. While he is talking, we walk out into the garage area. I read the nameplate on the fender and it says something like Corado, but the letters look different every time I try to read it. The rear half looks like a dune buggy and the front looks like a Harley Davidson. When I go to sit down on a milk crate in the garage, I feel something uncomfortable in my back pocket. I reach back and pull a remote control out of my pocket. While looking at the remote, something seems a bit off. I look at David and say, I went to sleep with this remote in my pocket, so this means that this is a dream and I am lucid. I am puzzled by why I would have gone to sleep with a remote control in my pocket. Perhaps, in an attempt to produce a satisfactory reason why this would have happened, I was able to identify that I was dreaming. I immediately become lucid. David looks at me like I am crazy, and then walks back into the workshop area and sits down on a stool. I follow him to the workshop and say, This is a dream. Do you know what that means? He looks at me puzzled for a moment, and then says, Does this mean that you're going to kill me, then rape me? I reply, No, silly. We're going to make sweet, sweet love, right here on top of the toolbox. We begin kissing, and then fall backward onto the toolbox. The toolbox is not a very comfortable object to lean against, so we roll onto the floor and continue kissing. I grab a handful of his hair and pull him in even closer, and he does the same. We both melt into the floor in a full-on make out session. Without any warning, I wake up.
DJ Log: May 24, 2011 4:00AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · I am walking around in a large laboratory with another DC, investigating a recent murder which occurred in this room. We are looking for any clues that may be left behind. There are police lights flashing outside and I can hear a dog barking in the background. As we are searching, we walk near a domed part of the ceiling which has windows around the dome. There is blood dripping from the ceiling here. As we both stop walking and look upward, a body and some debris crashes through the ceiling and lands on the floor. I close my eyes for a brief moment, then I look back up and see that there is nothing wrong with the ceiling. The blood is now gone and there are lights where the windows were just a moment ago. I say to myself, Why do these things keep changing? What kind of a fucked up dream is this? I immediately become lucid and take a much closer look at my surroundings, while trying to utilize any many senses as possible. The windows are back where they should be and there is a large hole in the ceiling. There is a body and a large safe in the midst of a pile of debris in front of me. I can smell rancid flesh beginning to fill the air around me. The lights are all making a buzzing sound and I can hear a lab refrigerator running in the distance. I can feel small particles of debris fall out of my hair when I shake my head. I look around a bit and decide that there is nothing I want to try tasting in here. I look back at the safe and remember the basic task of the month. I stare at the safe and attempt to move it with my mind. Instead of moving the safe, I develop x-ray vision which allows me to see that there is a gun inside the safe. I look at it again, and after struggling for a moment, the safe elevates from the pile of debris. I lift the safe all the way up to the ceiling using psychokinesis and then smash it against the wall to break it open. The safe smashes apart and the gun slides across the floor. I look back at the other DC, who is standing there completely dumbfounded. He looks at me with a really strange look, then walks over and picks up the gun with an evidence bag. I lose my lucidity and start to walk around the lab again. All of the details disappear from the room and the dream fades away rather quickly. I wake up and spend a moment with my eyes shut, recalling as many details as possible. I grab my flashlight and journal, then write it all down. This is my first lucid since I quit smoking cigarettes. Yay!
DJ Log: March 26, 2011 6:00AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · I am walking into a large hotel building that has a huge stadium attached to the side of it. There are several security guards standing at the counter and throughout the building. As I walk toward the counter, one of the security guys decides he doesn't like me for some reason. He pulls out his baton while giving me a couple of hard looks, then starts walking toward me, twirling his baton. I decide that I do not want to find out what his problem is, so I jump into the air and start flying. I fly up over the entry area and into a large open hallway that goes all the way to the top floor. I turn around to see that the security guy is flying after me. I look forward again to see that I'm about to crash into a window. Instead of hitting the glass, I pass right through without any effort and stop outside the building while hovering in the air. Realizing that I just flew through a window without breaking it and am now hovering in the air, I become lucid and continue my flight. I fly up the side of the building and land on a steep part of the roof. The security guy lands near me and starts running toward me. I do a nose pinch as a quick safety check, then run and jump off the edge of the roof. I nose dive toward the ground, then catch flight and fly through the front of the building into the stadium area. The security guy crashes into the ground, then gets up and walks in the door. At this time, I decide to face him and find out what his issue is. He walks up to me and says nothing, then starts punching and kicking at me. Thinking that this is a boring place for a fight, I fly up into the upper area of the stadium and land on one of the I-beams on a roof truss. I look back and see the guy climbing up the beam toward me. It appears that he has lost his flying ability, or just doesn't want to try and fly again. As he approaches, I jump off the beam and fly through the wall and straight up into the sky. Once I gain some altitude, I stop and look down at the building. The security guy is standing on the roof, staring up at me. I decide to take him out so I can enjoy the rest of the dream, so I summon a large sword and a shield. I dive straight toward him with the sword pointed at him. When I reach him, I pass through him then crash into the building. I tumble off the roof and fall to the ground, unable to attain flight. When I stand up, everything quickly fades before I have a moment to stabilize.
DJ Log: March 20, 2011 – 7:30AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · (Note: During WBTB I was a bit hungry, so I drank a full glass of apple juice and are a PBJ sandwich. I always thought the claimed effect of these was placebo, but this may change my mind. It was extremely vivid and detailed, although I lost most of the fine details during recall and logging. ...If only I could connect a DVR to my mental image sensor...) I am walking through the main lobby of a huge apartment building, looking for my new apartment. The main lobby is open all of the way to the fourth floor and there are large chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. As I walk down the hallway, I see that there are numbers on the doors, but they are constantly changing. I walk up a large set of stairs to the second level and walk down the hall, looking at the numbers on the doors. One side of the hall has paintings between the doors and the other side is open into the main lobby area. At the end of the hallway is a common area with a couple of chairs and a fireplace. I go up another set if stairs and arrive on the third floor. It also has a common area, but there is no fire in the fireplace. I walk down the hall, looking for my apartment. After quite a bit of searching, I find my apartment. It has a huge main room with several smaller rooms that each have a fancy wooden door. The top half of the walls are green and the lower half is a medium wood paneling with a chair rail separating the top and bottom halves. The kitchen is very industrial looking as it is mostly stainless steel. There is a fireplace off to the side in an attached dining area. A set of double stained glass doors leads onto a large balcony that overlooks the main lobby. There is a small stairway off to the side of the balcony that leads up to the fourth floor, but the door at the top of the stairs is locked. I look through the window on the door and see that it leads into another large apartment. I turn around and go back down to my balcony. As I come back in from the balcony, I run into a friendly middle-aged black lady that walked in from the apartment next door. She tells me that she is the apartment guide and would like to show me around the new place. She walks me all around the apartment, then shows me where the laundry room is. All of the rooms are empty except the laundry room, which has a washer and dryer in it. She sees that I don't have any furniture yet and offers me her futon to sleep for the first night. I accept her offer and follow her back to her place. I take off my shoes and sit down on her futon. She walks away for a moment, then returns with a glass of water. When I lay down, I close my eyes and transition into a different dream scene. I an the main character in a first-person shooter game looks a lot like the classic Doom game. My health and stats are in my field of vision. I say to myself, “Wow, I'm in a video game!” I quickly become lucid and summon a keyboard so I can enter some cheat codes. I hear some shots being fired in the distance, so I enter IDKFA and my weapons repository fills up. I enter IDDQD and I feel a tingling sensation throughout my body as my health meter flashes, then expands to about three times the normal size. I select the grenade launcher and walk into the next room. There are a three characters in the room that look like the creatures from Aliens who immediately turn and start walking toward me. I fire the grenade launcher and blow one of them to pieces. I shoot the other two then run to the door on the other side of the room. I push on the door with my hand, but nothing happens. I tap the space bar on the keyboard and the door opens into another room. This room looks like an IT closet. There are racks of servers and networking equipment all over it. I put away the grenade launcher and type something on the keyboard which morphs me into a small fly. I fly around in the room for a moment, then find a hole in the ceiling. I fly around above the ceiling tiles until I find another hole that leads me into another room. This room is very small on one side and there are cable management trays going through it. The other side of the room is about normal height and has some metal shelves against the wall. There is a fluorescent light on the ceiling that is flickering badly. I fly around the corner into another room that has a couple of empty metal shelves along one wall. Suddenly, the door opens and a long blonde haired woman walks in. She looks straight at me and starts talking about something. Her words come out as total nonsense and I can't make out any words she is saying. Thinking it is a foreign language that I can't understand, I decide to keep exploring. I fly up into the ceiling and start looking around for another hole to fly into. Suddenly, I false-awaken back to the futon in the original dream. I stand up from the futon and notice that I am wearing some kind of martial arts uniform. It's a thick, dark material and is formed like a sleeveless cape. It has some graphics on the front that looks like a couple of sword fighters. I look around for a bit, then reach up to rub my eyes and see that I have only 3 fingers on my right hand. This irritates me a bit, so I put my hands in my pockets, pull them out and look at them again. Now they have 4 fingers and a thumb each. I nearly lost my lucidity, but I pinch my nose and can still breathe through it, reaffirming my lucidity. I walk out of the room into a large social area. There are several others wearing the same uniforms and they all look at me strange as I walk through to get to the bar at the other end of the room. A couple of them are practicing fighting with rubber knives. They both lunge at my throat with the rubber knives as I walk by. I extend both arms with my hands pointed upward and use telekinesis to shove them into the opposing walls as I walk between them. They both fall to the floor and quickly dissolve. I arrive at the bar and ask the bartender for the House Special. As he mixes my drink, I look at the ceiling and see that all of the lights are off. I can barely see anything, except that there is a light switch on the bar. I flip the switch and nothing happens, so I look back at the lights and say, “Lights Now!” and a couple of the lights turn on very dimly. I repeat a couple of times and about half of the lights reach full brightness. The bartender comes back and hands me a very unusual looking drink. It's a slightly green margarita that's in a large fish bowl shaped stem glass and it has some dry ice in it. There is heavy steam bubbling out of the drink that is rolling down the glass and across the bar. I take a sip and it tastes like a green Jolly Rancher. I blow into the steam and see that there is a strawberry on a stick in the middle of the drink. I smile and remember the basic task of the month, then grab the stick and eat the strawberry. It tastes like chocolate and has a very gritty consistency. Once I swallow it, I set the stick down and look around the bar. I look to my right and there is a younger guy who is becoming partially transparent and is looking around very nervously. A girl standing nearby tells him that he is destabilizing and he must spin if he wants to stay in the dream. He drops to the floor on his left hand and starts to push himself around in a circle with his feet, sort of like he's break dancing. After a moment, he fades back to normal and stands up again. He rubs his hands together for a bit then walks off with a smile on his face. I finish my drink and walk back to my apartment. It appears that my furniture has showed up, but it is still in boxes and plastic overwrap. I walk back to the apartment where I slept at and look for my shoes. I find them, but the laces are untied. I try to tie them, but there are like 5 loops and at least 7 lace ends. I spend a while trying to untangle them, but the dream suddenly fades and I wake up. When I wake up, I think to myself: What a perfect way to waste a really good lucid dream... ...tying my damn shoes...

DJ Log: March 19, 2011 4:00AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · I am standing in the basement of my parent's old house, listening to the sound of them watching TV upstairs. I walk upstairs into the living room and see my mom sitting on the couch and my dad sitting in the recliner, eating popcorn. Their dog, a black toy poodle, is sitting on the couch beside my mom, staring at me and wagging its tail. My cell phone starts ringing and I retrieve it from my pocket to see an incoming call from 'Lucid Awareness' on the screen. I step into the hallway and answer the call, but the line is silent. I immediately become lucid and look back at the phone. The screen is now blank, but the phone is projecting an image of the screen onto the wall in the hallway. Suddenly a text message appears from the same caller, 'Lucid Awareness'. I don't bother to read the message, but drop the phone and walk back into the living room. I say to my mom, This is a dream! She gives me a strange look and says, No, silly, it's not a dream. I say, If this is not a dream, could I do this? I effortlessly push my right index finger through my left palm and show her what I just did. She gives me a brief look of shock, then looks back toward the TV. I go over to a fish tank on the table and reach through the glass and try to grab the fish. The fish quickly swims away from my hand as I try to grab them. I can feel the cold water on my arm and the bubbles rising from the air pump at the bottom of the tank. Suddenly the dog starts barking frantically at me, then runs over and starts biting at my other hand. I pull my arm out of the fish tank and walk away from the dog, but it tries to climb up my legs and bites at my ankles. I say to the dog, Stop it, or I'll put you in the TV. The dog gets even more angry, growling and biting me even harder. I pick up the dog and walk over to the TV, tossing the dog into the screen. The dog passes right through the screen, then turns around and stares at me through the glass with a very confused look. Both mom and dad stand up and start yelling at me to get the dog out of the TV. I get down on my knees and reach into the TV screen, but I can't find the dog. I reach a bit further into the TV, up to my shoulders at this time, but I still can't find it. I ask my dad to grab my legs so I don't fall in, then I climb in about to my waist. Suddenly, the inside of the TV turns into a rainbow vortex and tries to pull me in. I can feel dad pulling at my legs, but he loses his grip and I fall into the vortex. I hear a loud bang sound then quickly wake up.
DJ Log: March 15, 2011 4:00AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · I am standing in my old room in the basement of my parent's old house, looking at a fluorescent light that's barely working. There is one tube missing and the other is only glowing at the ends. I walk over to the wall where there are three light switches and flip the first switch. This changes none of the lights, but starts an electrical buzzing sound. I flip the second switch and a couple of flush-mount ceiling lights light very dimly for a moment, then go back out. The third switch makes a loud contactor relay click in the electrical panel, but no lights come on. I walk back to the fluorescent fixture and wiggle the tube around a bit, causing half of it to light up almost completely while the other half stays dark. I go back to the switches and there are at least 12 switches in a row. I stare at them for a moment then say, Ain't that some shit..., then become lucid. With both hands, I randomly flip the switches around for a while, but none of the lights work. I laugh a bit as I walk over to the first light, point at it and say, Illuminate! The light immediately turns on. I do this to each light and they all turn on. I walk out of the room and into the hallway looking for the light, but there is only a hole in the ceiling where the light once was. I walk into the bathroom and before I can say anything, the light springs to life and starts emitting light. I smile then look at the mirror. The mirror is black at first, but then I can see that it leads outside through a long tunnel made out of metal HVAC duct. I climb up onto the sink and crawl into the tunnel which leads me into the yard just outside the house. When I turn around, the tunnel is gone but there is a strange looking bush next to the house. The branches and leaves are several shades of orange and red, almost resembling flames. There are several fruit on the bush that look like strawberries, but they are bright yellow in color. I remember the basic task of the month and reach for a fruit. As I reach, I hear a loud rumbling noise and wake up to the sound of a truck going down the road in front of my house with its Jake Brakes on. I can't help but to cuss out loud.

They keep kissing and moving around, keeping the other friend and I awake. The friend and I are pointing at them, exchanging sexual hand gestures, and giving each other weird looks. At one point, she grabs her pillow and starts humping it briskly, I do the same. They start getting a bit more frisky, then get up and leave the room. Their friend looks at me and says, I can't believe that they would just get up and go have sex like that. I rotate the book in several different directions, but the text is totally impossible to read. Just as I put the book down, a young guy with long blonde hair walks into my room and says, “It's time for your meltdown.” As I am look for my alarm clock which is not there, I reply, “Isn't it a bit early?” He says, “No, certainly not.” After giving me a strange look, he climbs up on the bed and says, “Roll over, then cross your arms under your chest and bring your hands up and out from under your shoulders.” As I do this, he lays down on my back and grabs both of my hands. His hair is hanging down past my face. He slowly lifts my upper section slightly off the bed by my arms, holds me up for a few seconds, then lowers me slowly back onto the bed. I can feel his body get very warm as his aura combines with mine. He lifts me a second time and I begin to feel a warm and tingling sensation through my back and shoulders as I am being lowered back to the bed. When he lowers me the third time, the sensation becomes stronger and travels all the way down my legs. On the fourth lift, his legs melt down through me and become part of mine. When he lowers me, the rest of his body melts down and becomes part of mine. As we are merging, I can feel my internal organs shifting around to make room for an extra set. This is quite a strange feeling, but it doesn't hurt or anything. Somehow, I come to my senses and become lucid. I roll off my bed and walk out of my room. As soon as I walk through the doorway, I lose my lucidity and the dream. One of these fine days I will learn to take a moment and stabilize every time I become lucid. I'm certain that I was starting to aim for lucidity twice in the beginning of this dream; once when I couldn't read the text of the book, and a second time when I couldn't find my alarm clock. This is not the first time I have missed several clearly obvious dream signs, and it certainly won't be the last. I don't recall waking up directly from this one. There were a couple of dreams after this one, but I don't have much recall of them. This is the one that stood out from the rest in my memory and I think I lost the others while recalling and writing this one.

I am a bit concerned that there are sharp rocks or other things in the water that I don't want to step on, so I decide to leave my shoes on. I already have my swimming shorts on under my pants, so I remove my belt and take my pants pants off, noticing that there is a two-way radio clipped on my pants. I walk toward the water and think for a second, “It's February! It's way too cold to swim! Wait a minute, how did I take my pants off with my shoes on?” I become lucid, then turn around and start walking back to the picnic table where I left my clothes. I wake up and RC a couple times, thinking at least I was lucid for 5 seconds. I should have tried to stabilize, but then again it's 9:30AM and I usually never sleep this late.

DJ Log: February 20, 2011 – 4:45AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · (Note: Before bed, I ate a peanut butter, strawberry, and banana sandwich with a full glass of apple juice) I am walking through a user car lot with a female DC. She points at a couple of cars along the way, but I tell her to keep looking because the one she pointed at was not a very reliable car. I look up and see a couple of cars flying overhead. I become lucid and reinforce it with a nose pinch that fails. I look back at the DC and see that she has partially morphed into a theater popcorn machine. I reach into the machine and grab a bag of popcorn, then shake my head and continue walking. Unfortunately, this is all that I can recall at 10:00AM. I failed to write anything in my log book or record anything on my tape recorder.

DJ Log: February 13, 2011 – 7:15AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · (Note: During WBTB, I smoked 2 cigarettes of my usual herbal blend; Calea Zacatechichi, Mugwort, Damiana, Wild Lettuce, and Wild Dagga. I took 300mg Alpha GPC, a B-Complex, and 200mg L-Theanine with 2 glasses of apple juice. Immediately before returning to bed, took 8mg Galantamine+Choline. I attempted a WILD, and had some interesting results.) I climb into bed and put my flashing LED glasses on. I set the brightness very low and set the speed to approximately 12Hz. I slowly turn up the brightness to a comfortable level. At first, geometric patterns begin to form in a chaotic fashion. The patterns slowly move around and form into structures. They are becoming well organized, sliding around and fitting together like puzzle pieces. Once the puzzle completes the assembly of itself, the texture of the patterns melt into a solid white plane that seems to maintain sync with the flashing. As my brainwaves try to stay in sync with the flashing, small corrections cause the flashing to become very apparent for split seconds until my brain corrects the synchronization. In my experience of electronics, it seems that my brain was functioning like a PLL (Phase Locked Loop) circuit, making minor real-time corrections to maintain a frequency lock with the reference source, the LED glasses. After about 5 minutes, I remove the LED glasses while keeping my eyes closed. I decide to try my first waking attempt at a WILD, so I relax fully and perform the stop-drop-roll technique I read about in one of the DV forums. This felt pretty good, as all the tension builds up in my arms, then shoots out of my fingers when I drop my arms. While remaining entirely motionless, I begin my mantra, “I will do a reality check and become lucid” with my internal voice to help reduce and eliminate the internal chatter. Within a couple of minutes, my fingers and toes start to vibrate and the waves slowly travel up my legs and arms. The vibrations are out of sync at first and collide with each other, but they slowly get in sync as the vibrations approach the center of my body and intersect with each other. This vibration intersection and synchronization process is quite uneasy, as I have to override multiple extremely strong impulses to move my body. I read about this several times, so I feel that I am well prepared to handle it. After what felt like 30 minutes, my dream eyes opened by themselves and I can see a deep tunnel full of thick glowing white spider webs. I attempt to find my hands so I can count my fingers to confirm my lucidity, but I am tangled in the web. There is absolutely no doubt that I am fully lucid, but I have poor control. I pull at my arms a bit harder and the vision went black. A false awakening (FA #1) put me back in my bed where I could feel my body vibrating again. I keep my eyes closed and clear my vision canvas. I focus on my past memories of the Arizona White Rock Canyon, which I had visited about 6 years ago. I would really like to try and accomplish one of my dream goals by flying through the deep canyons. I start to form a clear and detailed vision of the rocks, but suddenly the vibrations come back and crumble the rocks. A large fissure develops in the ground and I am free falling into near darkness. I try to jump and fly, but the gravity in the fissure is Jupiter-strength and I cannot fight against it. At the end of the fall, I crash into the ground quite hard and a lot of rocks and debris fall on top of me. (Note: This is the first time I recall potentially being killed in a dream.) Once again, an FA (#2) into my bed and I can feel my body vibrating, quite a bit less than before. This time I make no attempt to steer the dream nor open my eyes. After a brief moment, I find myself laying in my bed with my winter boots and a heavy coat on. My right hand is in my coat pocket, trying to pull out a plastic box about the size of a 25-CD storage case. As soon as I pull the box out, strong vibrations travel up my right arm that create an intense wave that rolls through my body and bounces off the opposite end, my left leg, then make a U-turn and travel back out my right arm. After the vibrations stop, I hear a loud pop sound. Once again, I FA (#3) into my bed. Opening my eyes, it appears that I am actually awake. I stare at the ceiling for a moment, trying to recollect my thoughts and figure out what I want to do with this dream. I climb out of bed and go into my bathroom. I try to turn on the light, but it won't turn on. I exclaim, “Shit! I can't believe that FA got me! That's bullshit.” I look in the mirror and my face starts to melt, then turns sideways in the reflection. I float off the floor and my feet are almost touching the ceiling, as if I'm being steered by my reflection. I look into the mirror again and there is a vortex with bright streaks of lightning swirling around in it and my reflection is gone. There is a rumbling noise in the background, resembling the sound of a large waterfall from a distance. I try to move myself toward the mirror, but I am suspended in the air and unable to move. A person approaches from the vortex in the mirror and starts to reach a hand out toward me. I was a bit unnerved that I could not move, so I closed my eyes and pushed as hard as I could with my legs. As I am pushing, I hear a sound that resembles squeaky brakes on a train in the distance. I FA (#4) back into my bed again. The vibrations are faint and move slowly down my legs and disappear off the tips of my toes. I can feel myself floating off the bed, so I try to turn it into flight, but I fall through my bed and roll out from under it. I try to stand up, but end up floating instead. I can see myself in the bed. I look at my hands and I have at least 7 fingers on each hand. I can feel the texture of the blanket and hear the computer fan running. I turn to look at the window and fall backwards. Once again, I FA (#5) into bed. Getting a bit frustrated after 5 FA's, I decide to wake up. I just told myself to wake up, and I sat up in bed. A nose pinch and finger count confirm that I am awake, then a follow-up RC with the light switch for a triple-check. I sit down at my PC and write my log up to this point. I intend to go back to bed in a bit and see if I can WILD again, but I think I'm way too awake now. I get back into bed and squirm around a bit until I find that comfortable position. It's that magic position where the blanket is not pulling in any direction and the pillow is no longer making that scrunching sound. My legs are relaxed and the toes are hanging just off the edge of the mattress so they're not cramped up. This time, I change my mantra to, “I have control of everything” which I hope will work towards rectifying the control issue that I had earlier. I lay motionless for about 30 minutes and I can feel the vibrations of SP coming on again. The vibrations start from the center and work their way out to the ends of my fingers and toes, then slowly disappear. I see a bright flash of light and hear a burst of TV static sound. I find myself in yet another FA (#6) on the couch at a friend's house. My friend and his girlfriend are both standing there, looking at me like I have two heads or something. I look at them for a second, then I look at my hands and count 3 fingers on my left hand and 8 fingers on my right hand. I am already lucid, but this reinforces it. I look back at them and say, “Buzz off” as I wave my hand at them. They both walk away and leave me alone. I get up off the couch and walk over to one of the many windows in the room. I raise the blinds, revealing a crowded shopping mall outside the window. I think about climbing out for a second, then decide that I'm at the wrong window. I close the blinds and move to the next window. The second window reveals a stormy, choppy ocean with lightning streaking across the sky. I can see the flashes from the lightning reflecting off the floor and walls of the room. Being uninterested in diving out into the middle of a storm, I close the blinds and move to the next window. The third window shows a mountainous terrain in the background and a rich green meadow full of flowers in the foreground. There is a stream winding its way through the meadow and there are birds flying all around. I thought to myself that this is way too peaceful of a scene and I absolutely must inject some havoc. I do a quick nose pinch and shove my finger through my hand twice to make sure I'm good to jump out of a window. I take a step back, kick the glass out of the window effortlessly, and then jump out. Just as I am starting to gain flight control, I suddenly land on something. I look down to find that I just landed on Falkor's back right in front of Atreyu from the first Neverending Story. Atreyu grabs my shoulders and says, “Hold on!” Falkor makes a quick turn and starts flying high into the sky. I thought for a second that this was kinda cool, but it definitely not what I had in mind. I jumped off Falkor's back and did a nose-dive straight into the ground. This was the dream's exit. I woke up kinda mad that I jumped off and lost the dream. I should have just went for the ride, but whatev...
