So I had my first lucid in months!! And the first lucid in Sensei's competition. It was so much fun! Yay!

I woke up at 7.30 this morning and I wrote down 3 dream fragments. I probably could have dug deeper and remembered at least on of them fully, but I'm stuggling with the motivation to write the dj. and so they stayed only fragments. I then lay awake for a bit thinking I would do a WBTB, I was awake for maybe 20 minutes? Then I got comfy again and tried to go to sleep. I repeated a mantra to myself for a minute or two about how I would fall asleep and realize I was in a dream. After a while of twisting and turning, not being able to fall asleep I did a nose plug, and I could breathe! Only through one of my nostrils, but I could breathe!! But how could it be? I was still in my bed trying to fall asleep! But wait, was I? I looked around and realized I wasn't in my bed after all. I was on a mattress on the floor somewhere else. I got up and went to the bathroom, doing another nose plug (I couldn't believe I was lucid) still could breathe, but only through one nostril. I kept my nose plugged for a while, wondering how I could do that and not "choke" in real life, I then realized it's only my dream body that's got its nose plugged... Even though I was lucid my awareness was low at this stage. I suddenly realized I was standing in a bathroom scrubbing the toilet and I thought "I'm not using my LD to scrub down a filthy toilet!!" So I stood up and tried to remember my goals. I remember the competition and some of the tasks. Should I try flying? I have had a plan that if I did become lucid I would summon a 'musical muffin', eat it and try to sing! So I placed my hands behind by back and thought "when I bring my hands in front of me again there will be a musical muffin in my hands. And there was! It was a bit unclear/hazy, but had a creamy cheese topping with a 'musical note' as a decoration. I hurried to take a bite, and as I did I wondered how it didn't taste anything. After eating a bite of it I tried to sing - very quietly, because I was afraid someone might hear me. And I was disappointed, my voice was even poorer than in real life. LOL! Here the dream gets a little blurry, I can't remember quite what happened, but I think I had a FA where the nose plug RC failed.

I also remember dreaming about writing in my dj about both the lucid dream and some other dreams - it's so frustrating waking up and realizing you have to do it all over again, haha. All in all I remember 4 fragments, 2 dreams and 1 LD! A very, very good night! I'm so happy!

A question though: Did I just have my first WILD, or was this just a regular DILD? Did kind of feel like a DILD, but then I really thought I was still awake so it might have been a WILD... I've heard so much talk about the weird sensations one gets when wilding, and I didn't feel any of that...

Congrats! I completely lost my shit when you mentioned you were scrubbing a toilet in a lucid dream LOLOL. Do you write your dreams down on paper? I use an app called Dreamer. It's a lot easier for me and motivates me rather then when I use paper.. I dread doing it.

good just keep practicing it you will develop fast. And with the muffin part did not work properly as you had to deepen a bit (deepening is simple just rub your hands or touch the objects near you like walls, floor, furniture etc)Then the muffin will be good to taste and your voice like you wanted....

      Thank you for your comments!

@CHiLLEN_AU: Yes, I write it down on paper. Went to google play, but couldn't find the app you mentioned...

@shreyas: Thank you for your tips. I've used some stabilizing techniques before, and they are very useful. I got too excited this time, and just wanted to go ahead with the dream. Should've stabilized, though.

Congrats on the lucid! It totally looks like a WILD!!
And very good job on summoning the muffing (I still need to learn summoning) and remembering your goals!

Congrats on your lucid. Scrubbing toilet I once had this but was NLD and it was followed by a FA.

Wow - congratulation - good question if this was a WILD - sounds so, actually - just noise-less. I wish I could do it, too.
      Caught yourself cleaning the loo...

Well done on the musical muffin - sometimes I have problems with all vocalisation in lucid dreams - start to croak, can't get something out - was it that? Fantastic plan to sing in your dreams, though - I like doing this as well - but as said above, I don't often have a voice for it. But keep at it - it can be really, really great, if it works. Been clinging to a lamp-post several meters above ground once, while conjuring meteors, and there was a telephone-receiver hanging next to me. So I pretended, this would be a glorious amplifier and sung into it and that worked wonders, at least to my dreamy ears it did - booming all over the landscape.
Maybe try an appliance to help you believe in yourself?
Do you sing in real life?

@StephL: I do sing in real life, but I only sound ok'ish when I sing and play the piano at the same time. Then something is in tune at least, lol. I will try an appliance next time. I remember singing in NLD, and then I sounded great! Haha! And to all of you commenting: Thank you! It's so nice to read all these kind comments! <3

Chessica! Great job! And I want to say something--the fact that you realized that it was ridiculous to be scrubbing the toilet during your LD is wonderful resurgence of attention--I think for most this would have been the end of the LD and the transition into an NLD--simply because the dream was trying to reassert a new narrative. Great job and pulling yourself out of it! And good job on the summon too!

And to add to the others as well, yes--it does sound like you successfully WILDed--even if you were not aware of transition, you still made it! Congrats!

Great job Chessica!!! The competition really does help many people I feel. And that FA or WILD...that really goes to show how easy it is to think you were tossing in turning at a time when you were already asleep! It is always good to have some motionless RC's in your arsenal in these situations and a back up RC for when the nose plug fails like you mentioned in the later FA.

For android/google play, I like Awoken (actually for it's truly random RC reminders but it also has a DJ function), but not sure how it compares to the one Chillen mentioned.

Congrats on the LD and summoning! Great job!
Awesome that you remembered the competition too, that's some great goal memory!
I hate writing DJs in dreams, I do it way too often! I need to get back to making sure I RC every time I wake up so I can catch those FAs!
