I was upstairs in the computer room when I saw my brother in law going out the front door. It looked like he was going on a backpacking trip. Suspecting I was dreaming, I went downstairs. I thought to myself how I could see with my sleep mask on. Is it on correctly? Then I did a noseplug RC. I could breathe! I'm dreaming! I walked out the front door and woke up.

I was driving down a road to the store, with the thought of getting some more snacks. I thought to myself what I'm doing getting snacks at 6:30 in the morning. And why am I driving! I don't drive IRL! Suspecting I was dreaming, I got out of the car and jumped up and down to test the gravity and confirmed I was dreaming. As I walked a bit down the road I noticed a large park with many DCs partying. Wanting to see what my mind would create, I attempted to approach to the park. I got to an intersection and decided flying across would be faster. But, I had difficulty flying as I couldn't get high in the air and I had little control over the direction I was going. When I landed, my feet stuck to the pavement, I began to feel my own bed and I woke up.

I was not sufficiently prepared for this lucid as it took me a long time to fall asleep so I grew impatient and didn't complete my MILD thouroughly. But hey, it's a lucid so I can't complain! When I woke up I noticed my dad and my step mom were at my house. "What are they doing here?" I thought. I quickly realized they were here because I was dreaming. It looked like they were here to put up decorations for a party, presumably a birthday party for me as my birthday is in 4 days IRL. (I moved around too much during the recall process after the dream so I forgot all of what my dad and step-mom said.) "Am I dreaming?" I asked my dad. As I focused on his answer, the setting changed from my house to their house. "So, when's your birthday?" I asked my step-mom (simultaniously mocking her and testing my subconcious as I don't know her birthday) while hopping up and down 4 feet into the air trying to stabilize. She somehow evaded the question. I noticed the front door was open so I made a break for it. "Ta-ta!" I said. As I went outside the setting changed from their neighborhood to the neighborhood where I grew up. I flew around low to the ground, looking for something to do. I tried diving into the ground to change the scene but I wasn't going fast enough. As I grew a bit frustrated, my dream ended.

I found myself riding what I thought was Temple of the Forbidden Eye at Disneyland. As the ride progressed however, I noticed significant changes and at that point I realized I was dreaming. As my lucidity started to increase, I realized I wasn't in a vehicle but was actually on a body sized flying saucer! I found I could go faster by thrusting my body forward. I was zipping through the temple until I found myself at a dead end. I was in a large empty chamber. I was getting bored with this setting so I tried to teleport myself by driving hard into the ground. I eventually succeeded after I couple attempts, left the temple, and found that I was back in my bed. A couple of seconds later, my body levitated about 6 inches of the bed and I realized it was just a false awakening. My body involuntarilly went upright into a standing position. I did a fistpump as I was finally in the postion I wanted to be in. Right after that though, I found myself back in my bed as I had forgotten to stabilize and woke for real.

It's nice to finally be back on track and end my dry spell. Also, I teleported myself for the first time to more or less where I wanted to go which was one of my goals.

      Commentary-
After a usual WBTB, I tried to WILD. I think I got close as I couldn't feel my body but I got no vibrations to let me know I was successful. After about an hour, I gave up and went to sleep. I woke up again, this time with my eyes closed and tried to DEILD but was unsuccessful again. I inadvertly went back to sleep on my back not performing any techniques and, wouldn't you know it, got a DILD out of it.

      Lucid#5-
I knew I was dreaming when I woke up in a room that wasn't mine. I was in a dorm room of some sort. I got up, examined my hands as I read in a tutorial and said "stabalize now". After I stabalized, I tried to spin to try teleport myself to work but wasn't successful because I couldn't spin fast enough. It was as if my sleep parylsis was weighing me down. I was looking for a particularly attractive co-worker of mine I don't get to see too much. I walked outside and saw what looked like a receptionist desk. I asked the receptionist if the girl I was looking for was there. She said she was and started to lead me to her. We walked through what looked like a computer room where lots of college age kids were studying. "Here she is!" she said. She directed me towards a computer two ladies were sitting at. After taking a look at the ladies I found the receptionist was mistaken as she had just led me to two random, unattractive, geeky girls. My frustration caused the dream to end.

      Commentary-
It seems like I still can't directly perform a WILD or DEILD if I try to. I will have to continue to focus on MILDing and use to former as a backup. It also seems like I have to get out of the room I wake up in before trying to spin to teleport myself.

I think this might be the first time I got lucids on consecutive days! I'll hope for another one tommarow so I could try teleporting again.

      Commentary-
Last night began like my last couple nights have. I'd been having a good amount of dreams but my lack of mental focus was keeping me from becoming lucid. After another non-lucid dream (didn't remember much), I decided I just needed more focus in order to get a lucid dream. I decided to try a new mantra I came up with,"Stay relaxed, stay focused, wait for the dream to begin". Trying this mantra, I found it tough to go to sleep because now I was so focused I couldn't fall asleep. Trying to strike a better balance, I used that mantra and then tried to go to sleep with my usual technique. I tried to stay nice and still too hoping I might run into a wild. Let's see: staying still, mentally and physically relaxed, going to sleep, staying focused. I wonder what's going to happen next...

      Lucid #4-
All of the sudden, my body started heavily vibrating. After a few seconds, the vibrating stopped and as I opened my eyes and found my vision was a bit more blury than usual, I knew I was dreaming. I got up out of my bed and went outside. I tried to transform myself into a seagull, one of things I earlier figured I would try to do next time I was lucid. I was about halfway successful I think. I did transform into a sort of bird but my feet weren't webbed all the way. I flew to a park down the road from my house. I don't completely remember what happened at the park but I know I transformed back to normal as I started to walk around. I wasn't sure what to do at this point. I noticed a girl playing by a large puddle and was tempted to push her in but thought the better of it. I thought about trying a backflip again but figured I would fail again. So, I picked some speed and jumped up to fly again to look around. As expected the surronding neighborhood was a lot more detailed than in lucid #2 as I was flying around the area where I lived. The entire area was more of a pinkish yellow than usual, probably because it was early morning. I was flying in the direction of a golf course where I have played often so I figured I would try golf again. I landed at San Ramon Golf Club on the 15th hole near the approach to the green. I landed and rubbed my hands thinking "I'm dreaming" to stabalize. I picked a spot about 150 yards from the green. I knew how far it was because the wooden yardage markers that used to be there returned. The ground was wet and spongy, probably from the evening sprinklers. I aligned myself to the target and tried to get a club to appear again. "Golf club now!" I shouted. Only this time, there was nothing. At this point I was a bit frustrated and a pit bull approached me. "What are you doing here! Go away!" I ordered. The pit bull bit my leg and wouldn't let go. A couple of seconds later a slightly futuristic looking female dream character, presumably the owner of the pit bull, started talking to me. I didn't remember what she said as most of my attention was on the pit bull biting me. As I started to lose focus, I looked around, probably for help, and noticed a futuristic male dream character, probably the pit bull owner's husbund and a groundskeeper with a leaf blower as my dream ended.

      Commentary-
I didn't think I could WILD but obviously I can! I'm still going to focus on MILDing but it's nice to know I now have a backup method in case it doesn't work. Maybe this WILD success will inspire my to try DEILD once again as my tv habit is really starting to go away for good. In my next lucid dream, I'll try spinning to try to change my enviornment at will. I've been trying dream incubation the last couple of nights but no luck so far. I really need to work on my dream control but that will come with practice I assume.

Unlike my other lucids, I don't remember how this dream began. All I remember is how the dream ended and the fact I was indeed lucid.
      Lucid #3-
I found myself at a golf course. The course was of the parkland style-lots of trees and open grassy areas. I found that I didn't have any clubs with me so I shouted "golf club now!". I saw a club form into my hands. It looked like a 9 iron. I looked around for a target to which I could perhaps play a shot. I saw a green probably 80-100 yards away beyond some rugged looking mounds and I water hazard. I realized I didn't have a ball. After looking around I tried, just through the power of thought, to convert a small piece of bark I found into a golf ball. But, it didn't work. I woke up from my dream.

I summoned an object! Yay! I'm sure this skill will get better as I practice.

Even though it's not perfect, my method seems to be working for me. I tried to elaborate on my method even more and post it in the induction techniques forum but found I was too lacking in knowledge and experience and was stressing myself out thinking about it so much. I'll stick with the technique I posted in my DJ entry "No lucidity again but a promising idea". I've gotten 3 lucids this past week which isn't too bad I think.

      Commentary-
So, yesterday I carried out the adjusted technique I explained yesterday. Falling asleep seemed easier and smoother with the visualization techniques. Prior to my first two awakenings I had strange dreams-random sounds but no visuals at all. The second awakening was disappointing because I was excited to find myself in sleep paralysis but I couldn't DEILD because the tv was on! So I turned the tv off, went to sleep and the fun began...

      Lucid #2-
I almost immediately recognized I was dreaming when I found myself in a dark empty living room at night with a random child with me. "Do you want to play?" he asks. "How about golf!" I suggest. "Okay," he says. So, I go outside, pick up speed and jump up to fly, leaving the poor kid behind. As I start to gain some elevation, I look around at my surrondings. At first, there seemed to quite a lack of detail in the layout of the area with just a single light for each of the homes in a grid like pattern. But, as I see some skyscrapers for the downtown area, I find myself landing there as the buildings start to increase in detail immensely. Soon I was surronded with beautiful architecture everywhere. Inexplicabily I found myself walking down a street in similar in layout to Market Street in San Francisco heading towards Embargadero Street in daylight. Only, this city looked different as it was a tropical oceanfront city. As I approached what would be Embaragadero Street I simply hopped right over it. I hopped around a couple more times, testing this ability. There was a party type atmospere with a lot of people at a plaza type area I found myself at. I walked to the left and saw at a shaded oceanfront park a long line of pairs of people getting ready for what looked like a water balloon fight. After presumably a go signal the water balloon fight began. Some people were holding grocery bag sized water balloons which their partner simply poked with a pin or scissors. The dream ended as I was viewing this.

      Commentary-
So, the technique worked just as I had planned. I trained my mind to differentaite the waking world from the dreaming world so I was almost immediately lucid when I had the dream. I didn't have to do any reality checks. If my earlier dreams this morning had visuals, I might have been lucid in those as well.

The tv habit really has to end.

After my lucid dream I tried to go to sleep again but couldn't. As I was relaxing and visualizing, I started to get hungry. Since I convinced myself anything was possible when I was in dream mode, I visualized myself eating a bowl of cinnamon roll flavored oatmeal. My hunger went away!

Prior to my lucid dream, when I was visualizing to relax myself, I imagined going to sleep at night at Santa Cruz Beach and occasionally at a tropical beach in daytime. This probably had an effect on my lucid dream as it started at night and ended at a tropical city in daylight. I've heard about dream incubation but I haven't read about yet. I'll be sure to today. Hopefully, my technique will continue to work!

I had this dream on 9/12/2012. At first I avoided sharing this dream because I thought it was too short. But looking back, the dream wasn't too bad and I figured if I was going to number my lucids, I might as well share them all! So, below is lucid #1.
      Dream-
I was at a party at my grandma's house. It was pretty random as I didn't know what the party was for and all the characters were unfamiliar. I tried to do a backflip a couple of times in the kitchen to impress the crowd. I failed both attempts and fell on my back. I remembered to rub my hands together for stabalization. I walked outside jumped in the pool clothed. Then a random lady walks up near the edge and asks "What are you doing!?". The dream ended shortly thereafter.
