Apparently being really really tired helps, I'm going try it tomorrow. For now I have to
get some actual sleep because I have class in the morning.

4 day weekend for me going to try to wild tonight and over the weekend. I'll post my results when I wake up.
    3. iFatal's Avatar
Didn't have a wild today but I had a really long vivid dream.
    4. Refrain's Avatar
In your vivid dream is the game you play animal crossing?
    5. iFatal's Avatar
I used to play animal crossing with my sisters so I guess I had a dream about it haha.

I had another DILD for my nap today... Still working on the WILD though. I think when
I get a free day, I will wake up around 1 am and get up so that I am exhausted around
8 or so then I'll attempt a WILD. I hear that exhaustion helps so I'll try that. Might throw
in a little coffee too . I'll post my results.

I have been thinking something for with WILDs. People tell other people that you need to go to sleep to WILD which is true but I think people take it the wrong way as in actually trying to fall asleep.

The problem with this is that if you fall back asleep, can't WILD. So instead of trying to go to sleep, you want to relax and calm your self down so you body thinks you are actually asleep. Then SP kicks in and all that stuff.

Another problem that I see around the forum is people thinking to much about WILDING or trying to hard to WILD. I see people looking specifically for HI, HS, and SP. But if your looking for that, you can't fall asleep and if you can't fall asleep you can't get into SP and later on into a lucid dream.

Now you guys might be a little confused because I just said that you shouldn't fall a sleep when you WILD. What I meant is like this:

Think to you self right now. How to you fall asleep? You lay in bed and you let your mind wander. Then eventually you fall a sleep

Now if you thinking about SP and WILDING when you try to WILD, you not letting your mind wander. You thinking about something as if you were awake. Thats why if you ever wake up in the morning and you just lay in bed thinking about things and your as still as a rock, you don't go into SP or see any HI.

      Sorry if that is confusing.

So now every time I try to WILD, I wont try to fall asleep I will lay back relax and let my mind wander. My mind will be my anchor.

Yes I have only been able to WILD when I focus on WILDING. I mean when I like do the WBTB and get in bed and try to wild and focus on it it never works for me. When I relax and don't really think about it and let my mind drift I can usually get into SP.
    9. Raspberry's Avatar
Yeah I know what you mean. You need to find a balance between consciously WILDing and falling asleep.

For me, apart from the usual problems with WILDing, is that I often tense up. Like right up so that I need to move and stretch out again right away.

Or, I forget I'm WILDing and move.

My WILD attempts often end up with me lucid in my room, but with no recollection of WILDing. So I don't know whether it's been successful or not.

How often do you guys attempt it? I don't like to during weekdays because of school.
    10. Refrain's Avatar
I do attempts every two or three days. I'm actually doing one tonight and tomorrow since I have a three day weekend.
    11. Raspberry's Avatar
What are your anchors? I figure we should try and learn how we all attempt it so we can help each other out
    12. Refrain's Avatar
I don't have any anchor. I just Kind of clear my mind until I hit sp. Unless you count clearing your mind as an anchor
    13. iFatal's Avatar
I try to WILD everyday I wake up around 5 or 6AM depending on what time I go to bed (I have to get up at 7AM) I'm having a 4 day weekend to so I'm trying to get my first WILD in.

I really don't have an anchor unless you count relaxing. Basically what Refrain said.

I just posted up some group tasks.

A WILD by the end of the month shouldn't be that hard but a pretty good challenge especially if you haven't had one yet.

And lets try to get some more members in the group. The thread I made isn't as active as I thought it would be so if you can try to bump it up I would and i'm sure other people would really appreciate that.

      Thanks

Sounds good. It's good having something, small steps to work towards. Although I'm not sure I'll get a WILD in 8 days. I have very little experience with it. I'm mostly DILD and MILD.

But hey, it's why I joined this group right?

Although I have an anchor, which is my breathing. I tend to flitter in and out of dreams when I do it. I'll be in a dream for like a few seconds, then come back, then dream etc. I think that'll help me WILD if I can hold onto it and transition.

What i'm going to try today when I WILD is to induce SP (My goal for the day.) then hopefully transition into a dream. I have never been in SP but I have woken up from dreams and can only move a little. (Semi SP)
    17. Shadow27's Avatar
I've noticed the same things. I think I'm going to try another WBTB WILD tonight and a nap tomorrow.
I actually had FA this morning where I tried to do a WBTB WILD but obviously I was asleep. It was
weird. You can read my dream journal entry.
    18. Shadow27's Avatar
Also @iFatal, I think thats a pretty good goal. Thats what I've been trying, to at least make
it into SP, then go from there. I've had kind of a dry spell recently though and none of my
attempts have been working. I might go back to trying STB but not tonight.
    19. iFatal's Avatar
That is why I like wilds. It's a garenteed lucid dream if you master it.

We also have a new member!
