I can't remember much. It was daytime, I was outside of a building, and standing on the edge of a cliff. I remember taking a step forward and falling, but that adrenaline feeling in my stomach and woke up. That's all I can remember.
Had a bunch of dreams last night. Overall I'm doing pretty good I think. Though, I'm a little disappointed that I haven't achieved a lucid dream yet. The Mountain Had multiple dreams taking place in one location for the most part. It was an area in the mountains that was covered in green pastures and forests. There were sand dunes that also resided around the mountains, making moving a pain. The mountain also had a couple streams coming out of it's side. In one area of the mountain, there was a modest town that lived in log cabins. However, this town happened to suffer from a mysterious force that destroyed the lands around them. I remember that as things progressed, the green faded away and the town became ramshackled slums. One thing that stuck out was this elderly couple that settled on the mountain looking for treasure when they were young. As they were dying from old age, they realized that the treasure was underneath the very house they built on the mountain. I remember a long hallway made of logs, and a couple of hills on the mountain. I also recall something having to do with white flowers for someone. I think there was also a monster somewhere in there too. School I was running about all over my school campus. That's all I can remember. Rioting I was in a big city that had many skyscrapers while a riot was going on and a military force was sent to suppress it. I was with a random dream character investigating the lobby of a closed off tower where we found the owner and a few people hiding. The owner claimed that we were rebels and tried killing us, but we pulled out badges explaining we were part of an investigation team and promptly kicked his ass. I think I woke up since since I can't remember anything beyond that point. Fragments This fragment took place in a cavern. There was a party being held down there and my grandma pulled out a record player. I tried getting it to work, but it was too old and broken. Someone had said something and I took offense to it, but I don't remember what. Conclusion I need to up the amount of reality checks I'm doing since it doesn't seem to have an impact in dreams. I could probably try a WILD or incubate a dream, though I'm not sure those will really help. Nevertheless, I'm at least happy I'm recalling a bunch of dreams now.
Can't remember much except a few fragments here and there. Better than nothing though. Logic and Emotion I can't quite remember where I was, only that I was on a street at noon. A person came over and told me that Earth actually has two parallels of itself. One run purely by logic, and it's opposite, one run by emotions. The person then showed me two geographical maps of the two Earths, which were identical. I also remember teleporting to one of the worlds where someone greeted me, but I can't remember which since that's all I can remember. Trapped The next fragment took place in this underground room of some sorts. A couple of dream characters were with me in this place trying to get out. In the center of the room, there was a long high-powered hose that just dangled there. On one side of the wall, there were three holes that fit perfectly with the hose, so we figured that we had to connect the hose to it and fill whatever was in there up. However, when we tried actually doing that, nothing happened and that's when my recall faded. At the Store and the Spaceship Race I was with my mother inside some store, but I recall leaving her behind to head outside to look at a race that was going on. The view changed from 1st person the 3rd person as I was approaching the audience. It was a simple straight track except there was a ravine that it lined up with that happened to be filled with water. As a few of the spaceships began speeding by, one of them crashed into another causing most of them to blow up and fall into the water. People were exclaiming that one of the famous pilots had died because of that, but came to be surprised when he came out of the wreckage without a scratch on him. Conclusion I think last night's dreams were pretty neat, I just wish I could have remembered more of them. I know tonight will be better at least. Happy dreaming!
I had a decent dream last night. It was kinda weird though, but I can remember it pretty well. Riot in Math Class It was nighttime and I was at my school going about my day like I normally would. I headed over to math with a some of my friends only to be met by the disappointed stares of our math teacher. When we took our seats, he told us everyone in the class had done poorly on the test and was issuing a retake. One person was outraged by this and began yelling at him. Then more people got up and started screaming their heads off. Out of nowhere, a Molotov cocktail went flying through the air and caught a part of the building on fire. At that point, I was scared for my life so I booked it out of there and woke up. Conclusion I remember a couple other fragments of a few dreams, but nothing substantial. Happy dreaming everyone! :L
First few dreams were on some random rocky planet of sorts. It switched multiple times between 1st and 3rd person. Mountains A couple of spaceships fought atop some random planet, but it didn't last very long. I remember it all of the sudden zooming into these dirt-brown mountains that were comprised of many caverns. It's hard to explain what happened next, but a large chunk of it was then split into multiple screens. In each screen, the scenery became a pixelated 2-d image like an old side scroller. In each monitor, an event took place. Something happened when all events took place, but I can't remember what. The Train and Pet Store Some things jumped around, but remember riding a futuristic train. Each compartment was comprised of two spacious levels. It was also said to be the fastest train in all of the city. I got onto it with the intent of heading to a pet store. As the train was chugging along, I noticed that it really was the fastest train. I then got off it and headed to a pet store to get a puppy. A women quickly came over to help me pick one out and showed me the many puppies they had which were crowded into a clear kennel. I remember commenting on the quality of both the living conditions, and of the dogs themselves in the store. They lady said it would just be best if I got one to "rescue" it from the store and took her advice. I remember it being a golden retriever. The Hotel I then had plans to go to an expensive hotel because I was vacationing at that city. As the train was moving along, I noticed that it moved considerably slower, though I eventually got to my destination. I still had the puppy with me, and hauled some luggage that magically appeared to me into the hotel. I remember the hotel on the outside had tall arches and curves instead of corners. The inside of it had Modern Gothic architecture and one weird lobby. It was in an octagonal shape and at four sides, instead of walls, it had moving fractals. In the center, there was an elevated platform where a women in an intricate black dress was entertaining a guy in a suit. That's all I'm able to remember though. Conclusion I dunno, I think overall I'm doing pretty good. It's nice that I'm able to now at least remember a dream or two, just need to work on awareness as usual. Woo! 50th entry! Happy dreaming!
The first few dreams were fragments. Though I was able to almost achieve lucidity. Underground One took place underground similar to one of my older dreams. The only difference was that there wasn't any blue lighting. I with a few random dream characters and a teacher near a support column that was surrounded by a light fog and large pools of water. A man on a bicycle rode up by me and started chatting with a girl in my group. I had evil premonitions about him and tried to tell everyone he was a bad person. However I don't quite recall what happened after that. Store In the dream I became semi-lucid in, I was at a store in some mall just looking around. Though all of the sudden I realized I was dreaming as I looked around my surroundings. After realizing this, I tried changing the dream scene by looking up at the tiled ceiling and blowing it up in an attempt to reveal a new world. However, my vision began to fade to white as I tried and couldn't move at all. Sadly, I woke up because of it. Conclusion I think I'm getting there. I'm a little iffy one whether or not I was truly lucid, though I have the feeling that I was considering I knew I was dreaming. Still though, I look forward to having a lucid dream tonight. Happy dreaming everyone!
Meh, recall not that good. I was at some house in a brightly lit living room that had a rug on some tile flooring. There were two cats at this house, as it seems cats are invading my dreams for no apparent reason. One was orange with white, and the other was a grey color. Sadly that's all I remember. I should probably try something tonight as to help my recall. Oddly enough, I haven't been near a cat in ages, so I don't quite understand why I'm dreaming about them so much. Though now that I think about it, they always seem to appear when I have poor recall... Oh well, better luck tonight!
Can't quite remember last nights dream, only that it involved some futuristic setting. I remember it taking place in the day too. Though, I didn't get much of an impression after I woke up. Thank god it's Friday, so hopefully I'll see some increased recall over the winter break.
This was one giant amalgamation of a couple dreams that took place in some area. City and Grasslands There was plenty of green grass and had many cliffs with waterfalls. It seemed to me like a Garden of Eden in a sense because of it lushness. There was a city that I explored too. It was like a cross between an old tribal village with the use of sticks for bridges and supports, and a scrapyard town since the buildings used scrap metal to support them. I don't remember what my purpose was over there, all I know is that I was exploring it Above Ground Crypts Even though it was the same dream, the dream plot changed dramatically before returning to me just wandering. I found these tombs that were built above ground and began exploring them. As I was doing so, a few random dream characters came out of nowhere and joined me in my exploration. The viewing angle changed too since it was more in 3rd person perspective rather than 1st. I somehow knew, that at the right moment the tombs would burst open with the deceased and attack us all. But before that happened, it changed from exploring the tombs, to now trying to create a game. The view then shifted to an isometric perspective. Oddly enough, the entire place was now destructible, and a bunch of explosions happened destroying the crypts. After that happened, everything resorted back to it's original state and a couple of dream characters joined me as I explored the area again. I think our last decision was to head back to the city, but the dream changed scenes. Breaking the Rules I was in a car with a random woman driving me around. As she was nearing a street, she said she needed to go to some salon. The problem was, was that she would have to make a time consuming U-turn since it was a one-way street heading against the direction we were traveling in. So to solve this problem, she decided to travel against traffic to save time. As she was doing so, I remember freaking out over it since we came a few times to hitting a couple cars head on. She, on the other hand, was as calm as can be and said she'd done it many times before. She got to the salon and the dream ended Conclusion Dream recall is pretty good. Like I said, I just need to work more on reality checking. Happy dreaming!
I can only remember that last night's dream involved an ill and paralyzed cat. It had black fur and orange spots on it. Other than that though, I don't remember anything else. I think my recall has gone down because of my finals I need to take this week. Hopefully tonight should be better though!
Couldn't remember any dreams last night. Oh well, tonight should be better at least!
These few dreams were pretty interesting. I feel like my recall is starting to maintain consistency. Space Battle This was the shortest one. It started with only a few ships exploring a red nebula and ended up with them firing at each other. The details of the ships are hard to remember, but all I know is that it was short. Space Colony I think this one might be connected with and with a future dream in some way. It starts off as a mutual program set up between the United States, England, the USSR, and China to create a space colony on some planet. They send only a few people to test how the colony would work out in an effort to determine whether or not it will be a profitable venture. At this point, I'm not sure if I'm a person, or a ghost watching things unfold. Nevertheless, as things continued, the colonists began to create factions against each other. When accidents would occur, people would point the finger at others as a result of different political philosophies being forced in one area. It got to the point where the people from the US suspected the Chinese and USSR were spies sent to steal American technology. In all actuality though, I'm surprised I even dreamed about this in the first place since it was so coherent. Sadly, I don't know how it all ended. Ancient Caverns The only thing that stuck out in this one, was the setting in some cavern. There were two sides, in between there was a deep chasm that looked as though it went on forever. I remember jumping across it and landing on some sort of stone floor with designs carved into it. Though, I don't remember how I got there, or what I was supposed to be doing. English Class I was in my English class, except, the class was in a place that looked like my room. There were tables instead of desks that we sat at and the bell had yet to ring. A few of my classmates walked in and we all began chatting with the teacher. As we kept talking, he decided to scrap the journal prompt in favor for a new one for no reason. He then told me he couldn't get the idea out and needed help. So as I threw out some thoughts about my first dream as he began writing them on the whiteboard behind me. As I checked the time though, I noticed it was almost time to get out. Nevertheless, the teacher told us that we had enough time to write it out. He then moved to another whiteboard and drew a few different groups that we would center our story around. The prompt had us write a story on what it would be like to live in a space colony involving a certain political system. The first group was called the "T" group. Two people were assigned to it meaning they could write about whatever they felt like. Then there was the "Corrupt Authoritarian" group, which I and a few others were assigned to where we had to write about life under corrupt authoritarian rule. The last group was naturally the "Democracy" group that everyone else was assigned to. The Story For the sake of organization, I've split it into two sections even though they are apart of the same dream. So as I was writing in my journal, strange things began to happen. For one, I could read the texts, but made the dream unstable I think. Because after I read what wrote, the scene began to change around me as if it was teleporting me into the story. But when I wrote a couple lines I didn't like and erased them, I was teleported back into the pseudo-classroom. The first paragraph was about a man who woke up, lived, and felt, the same things everyday. It talked about the repetition in his life and lack of economic opportunities that caused him to be apathetic towards everything around him. The second and third paragraph talked about how he was making his way out of his house, however, at that time I was still in the classroom and I checked the time once again. It was dangerously close to ringing. What's frustrating is that the clock maintained it's consistency. Though, if I studied it longer, I'm sure I would have found something off. Nevertheless, I continued to write, but soon the dream engulfed me into the story. As the man was leaving his bland block-housing, another person, a women, left with him at the same time. They didn't acknowledge each other and waited for a while for some guards. Since it was about authoritarianism, the guards had to escort them back and forth as to make sure they run or something. I remember the guards were dressed in blue and wore helmets with black visors. The two guards walked side-by-side with the two people and began to head downhill with them. The got to a clearing were some fight was occurring between guards and a local rebel group. There was also a special agent among the guards, but it ended badly for her. She was grabbed and tossed off a long cliff where her entire body scrapped across the coarse rocks. But in a twist, she was actually an android, and she hobbled to some government base to get fixed up. And that's where the dream ends. Dream Journal *Phew!* Almost done. This one was real short. I was sitting some place at school during lunch when a friend of mine approached me and saw that I was writing in a journal. She asked what I was doing, and I told her I was recalling this dream that had occurred that previous night. As I looked and wrote in the journal, I remember having two columns, but I don't remember what was in them. I had some weird conversation with my friend, but everything just kinda fades from there. Conclusion I think I'd have to say these dreams have been the most convoluted connect dreams I've had this year. Still though, I think it's good that lucid dreaming is starting to leech into my dreams. So it's really just a matter of doing those reality checks and hammering down awareness and recall. It's pretty interesting the creative stories our brains can come up with when we dream. Happy dreaming!
Had a few difficulties remembering my dreams this morning. A couple stuck out though and I have a feeling they are connected in some way. Super Market I was in a spacious super market. I don't know why I was there, but I was wandering around window shopping. A few dream characters were there that I had some random connection with, but overall there was little interactions between me and them. The colors were warm and the lights positioned so that the shadows cast in the furniture section were dramatic. It had a cozy feeling to it strangely enough and I continued to wander around aimlessly. Strange City This dream city, as usual, wasn't Tucson. It looked like a typical neighborhood, except the sky was off. There was an ambient blue color settled around everything, much like a morning when the sun hasn't peaked over the horizon yet but just enough to light the sky up. The home I was in front of had a few dream characters around it talking about something. Next thing I know, I go into the house and find a staircase leading to a basement. Rather than the basement being a typical room, it was an entirely new world. Oddly enough, when I looked around, everything retained it's blue ambiance, but instead of a sky, there was a concrete ceiling higher up than what it should be. At first, I had to maneuver around piles of mindless junk in order to continue walking on a path. As I kept walking, the "wildlife" of this new world popped up. Just like in Skyrim, there were a bunch of giant crabs near a large pool of water that I noticed. But behind that pool of water lied an entire ocean and cliffs lining it's coast. The junk gradually was replaced with buildings as I kept walking along this now twisting path that outlined the edge of the cliffs. These buildings were curvy but made of stone. Though, the dream just kinda faded from there. Conclusion I think length and detail are the big sticklers right now and I need to keep pushing forward. Tonight will be better no doubt!
New Friends There isn't much that I remember about this dream. All I remember is that I was in a cafeteria talking with some people and becoming friends with some of the dream characters. Though, I have no idea what we were talking about in the first place. The scene changed and I found myself with my new "friends" in math class looking over a test and being grouped up together. Everything else after that is a little foggy. Conclusion It may just be a little speed bump, but nonetheless I feel confident that tonight will be different. A single remembered fragment is better than no recollection at all. So tonight I think I'll try concentrating a bit more on dream recall in general versus actually lucid dreaming.
Haunted Complex It began with me looking upon a city at night while being driven somewhere in a car by some random person. The highway I was on was illuminated with an orange glow due to the lights. However, the scene quickly changed to a paved area with sloped walls to the left and right sides. It was now broad daylight and the pathway resembled a dry wash. I soon found a random group of dream characters following me as we had apparently stumbled across an old haunted town. As we explored the city, we soon came across a building that had many complex chambers below. We had learned this through some holographic device that showed us the layout of the underground complex. As we explored them, we soon found them to be haunted with many ghostly apparitions and reanimated skeletons that wandered the hallway. The overall feel of it was similar to an old horror movie about an abandoned Victorian home being haunted. However, the dream became more like a video game in that when I tried leaving one of the rooms, a pseudo-loading screen came up and caused the dream to become unstable. Zombie City Fragment As soon as that loading screen disappeared, I found myself in a now flooded wash, exploring the area by myself. It wasn't until a few steps that I soon found demon-esque zombies popping out of the water and attempting to attack me. But in a flash, two people began to fight right in front of me. Strangely, it's as if a Mortal Kombat round broke out in front of me, as the fighters tried using the zombies to their advantage. Though, it ended as quick as it started because I started running up this hill where this unfinished tower was being built for some rich person. Thanks to implanted memories, I had a déjà vu moment where I recalled already running through this spot. As I looked upon a pile of materials, there stood the owner in zombie form due to him being attacked and pushed off the tower by his zombiefied construction workers. So I was quick to leave the location and the dream fades from there. Broken Submarine Fragment Interestingly, I found myself on a broken ship with a few of my waking life friends. It was cold and raining, and the engines mysteriously stopped as we seemed stranded out in the middle of the ocean. As I opened up the engine hatch, I found that they were empty. In order to fix this problem, I decided to stuff old papers of my already done homework into there and light it on fire to use it as fuel. As I was stuffing my papers in there, the dream ended. Two Diplomats This dream wasn't as surreal as the last. A fancy king of a modernized kingdom held a meeting at his palace. I was just a visitor to watch how things unfolded and was accompanied by an old dream character. He was granted access to areas that no other person could go. As we sat in an opened patio, he gave me a breakdown about two diplomats that were showing up. Both were from real countries from what I recall. The two nations opposed each other and wanted to gain the kings favor as soon as possible so they decided to send over two diplomats. I remember that the first diplomat that showed up was a heavyset but short man with a jolly nature. He cracked jokes and contrasted the other diplomat who was tall and had a grim, serious face on. I was told to go help them out by the old man, and had decided to follow the serious diplomat. However, I got lost after going through multiple hallways and instead was in a room with one of the kings advisers. I can't quite remember what she looked like, but I know that ethics and morality certainly weren't an issue for her as she kept trying to find out a way to play having enslaved labor as good. Before she could explain though, I woke up. Afternoon Nap It was a rather short dream involving playing with my bass at jazz band. My little brother IRL was messing around with some toy that sang and I remember one of the dream characters screaming out in frustration for it to stop. Oddly enough, I stayed in the dream a little longer despite it looping in the background. Conclusion I think I can say the number of dreams I remember has improved, it's just a matter of improving the length of my dreams. One thing that I notice is that I seem to remember little pertaining to real life in my dreams. It's almost as if I have this "dual" life in my dreams as my mind seems to accept everything that is happening as reality. The overall structure of my dreams seem realistic too. Sure, maybe I might fight zombies, but they are space zombies flying on cows. I dunno, like I said, dream recall is something I still need to work on.
