    1. Early Sleep Dreams

      by , 02-20-2012 at 02:52 PM
I didn't get to sleep as much as normal today, but I will probably get a nap later to make up for it. In any case, I have a couple short fragmented dreams, but nothing big. Hopefully the fun, vivid dreams will happen when I get my last couple hours of sleep in this afternoon.

Dream One: On a whim, since I haven yet to become fully lucid in a dream, I tried what I think might be called a WILD, where I laid in bed and tried to picture what I wanted to dream, and stay conscious when I slipped into sleep. I don't really remember much of the dream. I think there was a car in the dream at one point. The only clear impression I have of the dream is running around with a guy and a girl around my age. I feel like we were searching for something and/or trying to protect someone. I woke up feeling really happy, so it couldn't have been a bad dream, but it just completely eludes me as to to what happened.

Dream Two: I am sitting in a car,. It's one of those teeny tiny compact cars, and it kind of reminds me of a Volkswagen beetle. No sooner do I find myself in the car, the thing starts filling up with water! There's no rain or water outside the car, just on the inside. I open the car door and crawl out, but the water doesn't empty out, it stays in the car and keeps filling up. As if there's some sort of invisible water barrier holding water in the car. I notice there's a car beside mine, that looks like mine only a different color. I think one was red or green, and the other one was blue, but it's hard to remember. A girl climbs out of the other car, and I immediately recognize her as being with me. I can't recall her name or anything, but I'm sure I know her and have spent the entire day with her. She starts cursing. I ask what's going on, and she tells me that a spell was cast on the cars to fill them with water and slow us down. She grabs a phone and calls for a tow truck. It appears instantly. The tow truck moves our cars out of the way and into a grassy yard. I walk over to my car, and I think it was blue. I open the door thinking the water will stay inside like before, but it doesn't. Water pours out of the car and makes a big puddle on the ground. The puddle is clean, and I notice somehow a kiddie pool has appeared under the door and caught all the water in the car, so my feet aren't even wet. The other girl calls out that the spell has weekend, but we still can't drive the cars far until everything dries out. She pulls her car forwards and angles it so the sun is shining into the open door, and I do the same. Then I take off my shoes and walk back to the kiddie pools. Suddenly I'm in a bathing suit. I dip my feet in the kiddie pool and the water is very warm and comfy. I think that since we can't go anywhere until the car dries out, I might as well relax for a while. Then I wake up.

Dream Three: I dream that I am in the old house I lived in with my grandma when I was a teenager. I'm sleeping in my bed, but my little boy is there, sleeping in the big bed with me. I wake up, and decide to go get a drink of water. When I get into the kitchen I see movement in the sun room. I walk into the sun room, and in the predawn light find my best friend Ambies in her pajamas as if she had been sleeping in the bed, only she was sitting up looking around. I ask her if she's ok, and she says she's scared. She heard a faint creaking door, and then a very scary scream. She said if she heard the door creak, it had to be one of the neighbors close by, and since she heard a scream if scares her that something bad has happened to someone, and if so whoever hurt them might come over and hurt us since we're so close. I'm a little unnerved by this myself, so I peek through the curtains trying not to disturb them as much as possible in case anyone's watching from outside. I don't see anything but woods, so I try to relax and tell her it must have been a bad dream. I go to the bathroom, then go back to the bedrooms. This time, instead of going to my bedroom, I go into my brothers room. My brother isn't there, but my grandma and my daughter are and they are sleeping in what should be his bed. I peek through the window in that room, and see a white dog in the woods. It reminds me of a white German Shepherd I've seen. It digs around in the bushes a minute, then turns and sits down, looking out across the yard. I leave the room trying not to wake anyone up, and then go back to my room. I peek out my window, and see that it's raining. The neighbors across the street have their garage and front doors standing wide open. I wonder it that's where the scream came from. I watch as a man in a suit and a round dress hat walks into the house with a briefcase. I find it odd he doesn't wipe his feet as he goes in. I yawn and decide to go back to sleep. As soon as I lay down my little boy rolls over and buries his face in my back. I wake up.
    2. Thankfully there's no drama in dreams

      by , 02-18-2012 at 06:55 PM
Dream One: Dreamed of playing Mario Kart Wii with my little boy again. This time I was playing as Rosalina, the princess we had just unlocked yesterday through Super Mario Sunshine. There's a pattern here, my first dream of the night is usually about whatever I did before bed, lol.

Dream Two: The dream starts off with me sitting at home, knowing I was supposed to meet a friend so our kids could play. Problem is, this friend and I have been on the outs so I am really nervous, and want to cancel. Thankfully, there's no drama in dreams, at least not for me. My friend, Chas, shows up before i can call and cancel on her. I start to say the kids aren't feeling well, and she says that's ok, she left her daughter with a babysitter and just wants to hang out. She tells me to leave the kids with my husband, and We're going to go to a concert. I'm really uneasy about it, but I agree just because I feel guilty for being the one who stopped talking to her. I climb in her car and do a double take because the truth is my friend doesn't drive in waking life! But I don't over analyze it in my dream, so I don't realize once again that I am dreaming. We drive to a big building that I can only guess was a mall, the details are fuzzy because I had this dream about 4 hours before I woke up for the morning! We go inside, and there's a large lobby area with lots of young adults and teens, some looking as young as 14/15is and others looking as old as 27/28ish. They're all lounging around on the floor on giant pillows and in bean bag chairs. There are also blankets and things lying around, like they had been camping out there for a while, maybe even over night. We see an empty couch and start to go sit on it, but then my friend gets a text from some guy asking her to bring him his guitar strap. She texts him back saying she has the strap in her purse and she's already at the concert location, so he could find her when he got there, she'd probably be in the baby department. Then, instead of sitting down, she asks if I'd mind going to the baby department to look around with her. I agree, and say that'd be fun. We head to the baby department, but are only there for a moment before she gets another text. She says she needs to go meet the guy she's supposed to give the guitar strap to, and pulls the strap out. I note that it's black and red plaid. I Start to follow her, and we go down a set of stairs into another lobby, this time there are only two guys lounging in the lobby. I feel something hit my foot as I step down the stairs. I bend over to pick it up, and it's a copy of the newest Blue Exorcist Manga. I ask the guys lounging in the lobby if this is their copy or if it fell out of my bag, and one of the guys reaches in his oversized pocket and pulls out a copy of the same Manga. He says, "I got mine right here, so it must be yours. Good choice!" Then he makes a silly clicking sound and winks at me. I roll my eyes, but then notice Chas has left without me and I'm alone. I decide to back track to the first lobby and wait for her there because I think that's where the concert is supposed to be. I get there, and she's already waiting on me. She says she can't stay for the concert after all, but she'll take me home. We get back into her car, and once again I think, wait, she can't drive! That's when I woke up.

Dream Three: The third dream starts out in the toy store with my husband and kids. We're looking at bikes. I decide that since the kids are being good riding in the buggy, and Bikes are really more of my husbands interest, I'll go look at something else. I start walking towards the girly toys, when I overhear loud talking. I stop in an aisle and pick up a toy pretending to read the box and listen to the conversation. One woman is talking to another woman. The first woman says, "There's nothing physically wrong with this kid. We should let him go, he'll probably find his parents on his own." The second woman says, "He's got to be sick, look at his eyes! If we just let him wander off to find his parents he'll get the other kids in the store sick." the first woman says, "If he's sick, we're at risk of catching it by being near him. He's probably just one of those mentally challenged kids escaped from his teacher. I'm sure she's right around the corner and He'll stop thrashing about if we let him go and stop scaring him by keeping him trapped." The second woman sighs, and then agrees to just let the kid wander around the store on his own. I hear a clinking sound like a cage opening, then the women scream and start running. Scared by the scream, my first thought is to get my family out of the store because something bad is about to happen. I start walking quickly, almost running towards the bike section, but then out of no where this kid looking like a zombie steps out. I gasp because his eyes look white and cloudy, and he's even reaching out in front of him like a zombie would, moaning. I think oh crap, that one lady was right, this kid is sick, he's got the zombie virus! I start to run, and the zombie kid follows me, also running. I think to myself I didn't think zombies could run, but maybe because kids are so full of energy zombie kids can. Then I think that if I keep going this way the zombie will not only get me, but also my husband and kids. i stop running, and turn to leave the store. The zombie grabs me, but it doesn't try to bite me or anything, instead it just grabs my legs like my kids do when they're scared. I wonder to myself if this kid really is a zombie, because he's not trying to eat me, and his skin looks too normal to be a zombie. Then I have this sudden memory of a man named Luke who is a lycanthrope (yes, my dreams create memories, lol) and I decide that if anyone would know what this kid is and how to help him, Luke would. I reach down and pick the kid up, and he's incredibly light. I carry him out of the store, and turn left. I remember walking across the parking lot, but I know I must have walked farther because the scenery changed so fast. I'm standing in front of these two small cottage looking buildings, but they're probably each the size of a storage building. They have green siding and white lattice work. I walk up to the glass door that's broken into many different squares, but my hands are full carrying this kid, so I can't open the door. Instead I balance on one foot and kick the bottom of the door lightly. A tall tan guy with long dark hair and black clothes opens the door and steps aside. At this point I don't pay much attention to him because there's a desk in the center of the room, and sitting at that desk doing paper work of some kind is Luke. Luke is a short looking guy with thick, shaggy, dirty blond hair that covers his ears and keeps falling in his face. He looks up at me, and sort of shakes his head to get the hair away from his eyes and I see he has on a pair of reddish brown glasses as well. He says "Hello. What've you brought in today?" and I hand the kid over to him. I start to tell him what happened, but before I can finish the first syllable, the kid turns into a big fluffy white cat with matted fur. Luke grabs the cat by the scruff of the neck and moves it around a bit trying to get a good look at it, then he sets it on the desk, and proceeds to pet it while explaining to me, "This poor fellow has an unstable case of Lycanthropy. It can be fatal if contracted, but I think he's going to be ok. If he were to die, it would have been the first time he turned." I nod, but then the cat startles, and jumps off the desk and runs out the door I had forgotten to close. Worried that it would spread the unstable lycanthropy disease I chase after it out the door. I catch up to it, and pick it up, but it bites me and I drop it cursing in pain. It runs again. I make it to the street, and can't see it anywhere. I start crying, afraid that I'd fucked up royally. The dark haired man walks up behind me and puts a hand on my shoulder. Suddenly I remember his name is John. "It's ok, don't cry." he starts, "Luke wouldn't have wanted you to know, but that strain of lycanthropy is no longer contagious. It will only effect and possibly kill the first 1000 people in contact with it before the strain becomes so diluted that it can be destroyed by the bodies immune system." I look up at him through teary eyes and ask, "How many people have been in contact with it?" He moves the hand on my shoulder behind my back and pulls me into a side hug, "Luke estimates around 1,600. The last 600 people haven't even gotten sick or tired, there's nothing to worry about. You will be fine, and so will anyone else who comes in contact with it." I wipe my tears, relieved. Then I realize that if Luke and John knew so much about it, they had probably been aware of it before I even encountered it at the store. Before I can call them out on letting it hurt people without stopping it before the first thousand people caught it, I wake up.

    3. A restless night

      by , 02-17-2012 at 07:24 PM
Last night I woke up a lot, and hard a hard time going back to sleep when I did. I knew i had dreams, but I could barely remember them.

Dream One (only vivid dream of the night): I walked into Dominos, in full uniform, complete with hat and apron. There's someone standing by the cooler, someone standing by the over, someone cutting pizzas and someone putting toppings on pizzas. I Wave as I walk behind the counter and I make no effort to correct my southern accent. "Ha eeeeey ya'll! Who's closin' with me taniiiiight?" I clock in, and note that two people raise their hands, the pizza maker and the person beside the cooler. I'm relieved and say as much out loud, "Awll riiight! Two people closin' with me, I'm gonna get home early taniiiight!" then the person by the over starts throwing his hand sup wildly and ranting. I recognize him as a guy who had been working there since before I started. He's saying, "I can make pizzas faster than those noobs! We didn't get home early last night, why are you so excited that your closeing with two noobs? Your going to have to make all the pizzas yourself!" I think I walked back towards the oven now, because I have a very vivid recollection of a square pepperoni lovers pizza that's just been cut dripping cheese with one burnt pepperoni and the rest of the pepperonis are just fine. I fuss right back at the guy ranting, "It's liake thius, cleanin' is whut takes soo lowng to get howme. It dusn't matter if they can make pizzas or nooot, whut matters is havin' three seats of haaands to clean uup and leave is faaaster than only having two seats!" (I'm not entirely sure how to translate a southern accent onto a keyboard, but when I'm not careful about it, my vowels do draw out and other vowels seem to pop in) Then I wake up, starving. I'm not able to go back to sleep for three hours, and then it's only because after two I get up and make myself some pizza bagel bites

Second Dream (Fragment): I'm talking to a man. I don't remember what he looks like, but he seems older than me and I think him very wise. He's probably only about 5 or 10 years older than me, because I don't feel like I have to respect him because he'd my elder. I do respect him, just I'm sure it's because he knows more than me, not because he's older. I'm guessing in his early thirties. I have no idea what we're talking about. I can remember saying something about needing something once a week, but I can't remember now what that was I needed.

Third Dream: A false awakening, first one I've had in a very long time. My husband is trying to wiggle his hands under my covers, and I notice my bed is in the middle of the living room instead of in our bedroom. I fuss at him to stop, we're in the middle of the living room. My Grandma walks by and goes into the basement. My husband says, "It's dark, she can't see and she's too deaf to hear anything." I wake up.

Fourth Dream (Fragment): I'm talking to the older man again, I'm not sure what about but It's probably a continuation or repeat of the first dream.

Fifth Dream: I'm at a mattress shop, looking at mattresses with my husband and kids. There are made beds allover the place, and the sales clerk says that we're welcome to stay the night and test drive the mattresses. We agree that we will. I lay on a couple beds, and find them all very soft, but also very uncomfortable at the same time. I voice that I like our old mattress. My husband complains that the old mattress is old and uncomfortable. He picks a mattress he likes, and we sleep on it. We wake up, and my kids are running all over the store. There is an old couple looking at mattresses now too. I'm embarrassed because my kids are trying to talk to them and not letting them shop. The old lady just smiles at them nicely. The old couple want to look at one of the beds, but my kids have toys all over it. I apologize over and over again as I clean it up, feeling really embarrassed. the old lady says not to worry that she has children and can remember when they were that age. I don't remember any more of the dream.

Sixth Dream (Fragments): I can't remember where this dream started or the exact events, but I'll write what I do remember I'm in the grocery store, and I've got two early readers in my hands. I know my little boy isn't quite on this level with his reading yet and my little girl wont be reading for another couple years, but I have a weakness for books and I want to buy them for my kids anyways. I check out. (Can't remember what happens next.) I'm in a class room, feels like an elementary school class. There's a teacher sitting at a desk looking sad. I have a vision of a dog playing on a beach. I say as much. The teacher starts crying and tells me her dog just died, and she used to take him to the beach all the time. I feel bad, like I made her cry, so I get awkward and uncomfortable. Someone, I think Male, puts hands on my shoulders and starts guiding me out of the room. (Can't remember what happens here) I'm in a dark room, there are no windows, just a door. I am against the wall by the door and there's a guy about four feet in front of me with a gun. He's pointing at the door, not me. He tells me that if anything comes through that door looking for me, it will not expect me to be right beside the door, and will probably take a couple steps into the dark room looking for me as far away from the door and danger as possible. He plans to shoot it if something dangerous comes through the door, and I need to slip out behind it when it comes in and run as fast as I can. I'm not really cool with this plan, but the door opens before I have time to think. (Can't remember this part) I'm running down the street. I have something in my hands and in my mouth but I don't know what. There's a school buss in front of me, and It's dropping kids off on my road. As the buss pulls away I run up and finally make it to my own road. The kids dropped off are already halfway down the street. I trip, and can't help going, "Wah!" as I fall. When I open my mouth whatever was in it falls out, and I drop what's in my hands. Looking down I see they are all bottle caps. Like the metal kind from glass bottles, not the plastic kind. They're all gold and silver, and the logos are etched into them. They don't look like normal bottle caps and I get the feeling they are something else, I just don't know what. I start to pick them back up, and a high school student stops to help me pick them up. I tell him thanks but don't! I'm worried no one is supposed to see them, plus some of them are covered in slobber. He helps anyways, and even picks up a slobbery one. He asks me why I was carrying them in my mouth, that I could choke on them. I say because I have more than I can carry in my hands, I had to put some in my mouth to carry them all. He asks me why I have so many, I say for a project and I can't talk about it. He asks if I have any extra that he could have, I tell him I'm sorry I don't, but they're just bottle caps, he could go to the store and buy a soda to get one. He says he's never seen bottle caps like these before, can he please have one. I feel like it's important I get away fast, so I tell him if I have any left over from my project I'll give them to him, but I really need to go. I start running again, then wake up.

Seventh Dream (Fragment) : I'm playing Mario Kart with my little boy trying to help him unlock Rosalina (I think that's the blue princesses name) I'm the character he unlocked yesterday, Dry Bones, and I remember throwing a green shell back behind me.
    4. The Mall

      by , 02-14-2012 at 08:29 PM
I took a nap since my daughter had me up several hours earlier than usual this morning, and managed to dream then as well. I dreamed of a mall trip, and I'm pretty sure that was because I had just talked about a mall dream to another DV member in a message before I went to nap. The dream starts out with my best friend and her husband, my husband, my two kids, and I all somehow squeezed into a truck. Not a tiny truck, but a larger one, at least as big as a ford 250 if not bigger. My BFF says she wants to go to the mall, and her husband says he'll drive us there if my husband and I will give him directions. We tell him that we will, and to just keep going straight because he's already going the right way. We come to a stop light, and he turns right. We ask him what he's doing, and he says he's trying to figure out where to go since we're not telling him. We tell him he was going the right way and he needs to turn back around. He turns around and this time when we tell him to go straight he takes a left and we make him turn around again. We finally arrive with no troubles after that. We get out of the truck and go into the mall. As we step through the doors, we hear a woman scream. We all stop and then see a security guard running towards us. They ask us if anyone has come through there, and we tell them no. There's a woman still screaming, but this time in anger and she's saying, "I know that little punk went this way, they're just covering for her! Don't ya'll lie to me now, where is she? She stole something from me!" We shake our heads and insist we didn't see anyone, and the security guard lets us go without any more questions. But then I heard a noise, like someone shushing someone else and someone whispering, "Hide!" I look to my left and there's this strange decorative cabinet there, and I think the sounds came from there. So I motion to my bff to watch the cabinet while I walk back to the security guard and tell him someone's hiding in it. He nods and tells us he'll check it out as soon as we walk away so if there's trouble we won't get caught in it. As soon as we're about ten feet away, I hear loud knocking and the guard saying, "I know your in there now come out before I have to drag you out!" and then there's shuffling and the sound of a fight as we quickly turn the corner to get away before the kids see it. My best friend and my husband are pushing our kids in stroller, and I'm walking next to my husband and my bff's husband is walking next to her. When we are around the corner I can tell the mall looks much different than usual. There are two sets of elevators and not just one. There are a lot more people than usual. There's also this golden brown lighting in the whole place. Like the lights are behind golden fixtures, and instead of drywall all the walls are finished wood paneling. It's really beautiful, but I hate crowds so I'm instantly uncomfortable. We start to walk to the right and walk by some people who's hair attracts my attention. There are several of them and their hair is black and forest green, and they have it styled in spiky hair styles, but the styles are different for each of them. I went through a blue hair phase a couple years ago, and a red hair stage last year, so I'm wondering how they get their hair to look so freshly dyed as crazy colors fade fast, and they start sneering at me like they're pissed and I realize staring isn't nice. Then a male friend of mine bumps into us. He says hey, nice to see you kind of pleasantries, then asks if we know where the bathroom is. I do, and I offer to show him where it is. He thanks me, and I leave my group to show him to the bathroom. When we get to the bathrooms, they are really different, there is a whole lobby like area in front of them, complete with a fancy flavored coffee machine. My friend goes into the bathroom, and I see the coffee machine but no register. I walk over to it, where there's a man already getting coffee. I ask him if the coffee is free as I grab a cup. He doesn't say anything, so I start to pour some coffee into my cup and a voice from behind the coffee machine says, "No, it costs." and I realize there's a register hidden behind the coffee machine. I say, "Oh sorry!" and set my cup down and run off as fast as I can because my money is in my bag with my husband and kids. I end up in front of the escalator and think about going downstairs to find my family, when I find myself thinking I need to look for K while I'm here. I turn back around to go look for K instead of my family, when I run into the friend who was in the bathroom. He's also running out of the lobby, and he says they tried to make him cashier in the lobby, I ask why thinking maybe they were going to make him work off the coffee I set down instead of paying for, and he says "Because the cashier took his stinky shoes off and put them in the bathroom. Now it smells to bad to go in. I complained, and told them I'd do a better job." I am relieved and tell him that he needed a job, he should take it. Then I tell him I'm looking for someone, and he says he'll help. He walks beside me for a bit as I just wander around and then go down the escalator. He doesn't follow me downstairs, and I'm wandering around some more, then realize that my shirt is getting shorter... like I'm practically popping out shorter. I freak out and run to the downstairs bathroom and call my BFF. I tel' her I was looking for K while I was away from the group for a while, but then my shirt started shrinking and I really need her to buy me a bigger shirt so I can come out of the bathroom! She arrived pretty quickly, and gives me a shirt and talks and laughs at me as I am changing shirts. Then we walk out of the bathroom and in the bathroom lobby is our husbands and my kids. That's when I woke up!

    5. Friends, Family, and Disaster

      by , 02-14-2012 at 03:38 PM
I'm awake several hours before usual because my little girl had nightmares as well last night and just couldn't get back to sleep. As a result, I only have two dreams to share right now, and the first one is merely a fragment.

All I can remember of the first dream is an outdoor maze. It's made from stone just taller than my head, and it's outside in some sort of garden. There's broken stone and grass creeping up all around it. Also, the colors in the dream were really bright and cartoony. Thinking back, it's very similar to the garden walls when you go through in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time to meet Princess Zelda in terms of colors. There's also a girls face that was in my mind when I woke. She's not someone I recall ever seeing before. She had chin length blond hair, and was smiling with her face tilted to the side like anime/video game characters ofte do, and that's all I can remember.

The Second Dream: My second dream is more of the type I usually have, where everything seems super realistic, but I'm not aware I'm dreaming and there are all kinds of fantastical things happening. It starts out I'm in a local historical town with my best friend Ambies who in reality lives several states away. The town is small, only about 5 blocks, and the buildings are all about 2-4 stories high made of brick back in the early 1900's late 1800's. There's an courthouse in the center of town that now serves as a museum of the towns history. The lighting and colors in this dream are very creepy, like the Legend of Sleepy Hollow movie with Johnny Depp in it. Ambies is walking, but I am on this big zero turn lawn mower that makes a ridiculous amount of noise and vibrates like crazy. We turn left around the corner of the court house, and I see a man in a suit with a grey bird perched on his finger posing for a picture. The photographer is my step dad, and he's using an old looking tin box type camera. The bird flies up off the mans finger, and hoovers at the mans hat until the man lifts his finger higher and the bird perches again. I can hear the man and my step dad talking about the picture, just typical "Almost finished" and "this bird and I go way back" type comments. I stop the lawn mower to avoid scaring the bird, and tell Ambies, "That's Brad, lets go talk to him when he's done talking to that man." When they are done talking, the man tips his hat before turning around and walking off. My step dad bends down and picks up a bag off the ground before turning around and walking off himself, in the opposite direction. I start up the lawn mower and starts to follow him. I call out to him, he turns and looks at me, then keeps walking as though he doesn't know me. I stop the lawn mower and tell my best friend that it's weird he didn't recognize me. She says that it's been almost a year since I've seen him, he probably didn't recognize me because of my hair cut. I nod and tell her she's probably right, and we follow him around another left corner. I catch up to him, and yell his name again. He turns around and looks at me again, and says, "Oh hey! I didn't recognize you with your hair so short!" Then he turns into my biological dad. He says he is taking pictures to test out this neat old antique camera he found and asks me if I'd like to have my picture taken. I say sure, as long as I don't have to hold still for long because holding still is pretty much impossible for me. He laughs and says, "Yeah, you've never been able to hold still, ever since you were a kid, all you do is run run run and get into trouble like a little monkey!" we all three laugh, then he says he will take my picture in a moment, but he needs to use the bathroom first. He asks if we need to as well, and we say yeah. He leads up to the right this time across the street and where the bank is is normal life, there's a big bath room building. All I see is a ladies room, I don't see a men's room, and my dad walks into the ladies room. I kind of freak out internally thinking he's not supposed to be in here! Then I wonder if it'll make Ambies uncomfortable that if she has to pee my dad will be in a stall nearby. Then I realize Ambies isn't there anymore. I hear a flush, and my dad disappears into the first stall just as a lady walks out of one of the stalls towards the back. The lady is one of my aunts. She says, "Hey! I didn't think I'd meet you here! What are you up to?" My dad hisses from his stall, "Don't tell her I'm here!" and apparently I'm the only one who hears, so I try to lamely make something up and tell her I am just walking around looking at the scenery. She nods, and then changes the subject to the baby clothes I recently gave her daughter (my cousin) for her little girl since my own daughter has outgrown them. She tells me how lovely they were, and that they had so much fun going through the bag and looking at them and how cute her grand daughter is going to look wearing them. Then she tells me she has to get going and tells me to have fun, I thank her, say I will, and bye! Then As she leaves, there's a flush and my dad steps out of the stall. We start hearing a lot of noise outside. It's really loud, like a roaring sound, so we rush out to see what's going on. We don't see my aunt, but what we do see is crazy strong wind, big black clouds in the sky, pouring rain and the streets are flooded up to my knees. Also, the buildings have changed, they've stretched three times their height and become real "big city" type buildings. The courthouse is the tallest building of all, and strongly resembles a real building in a city about a hour from where I am. There's nothing behind this row of buildings though, no other buildings or trees or anything, just black clouds and grey sky as far as I can see. Then a boat is coming in from the Distance. A fairly large tug boat looking boat. The bottom of the boat is black and rubbery looking, and it is blown into the building that was once the courthouse. All at once the wind blows even stronger and literally lifts the boat up, scraping it along the back side of the building until it reaches the top. It teeters at the top, upside down for a moment, then there's a loud moaning sound as it starts flipping again and falls towards us in front of the building. I duck ad dive forwards, and the boat crashes behind me before somehow being carried away by this water that's only knee deep. I sigh in relief and tell my dad that was crazy! he nods, but then says, "Watch out!" and points to the building. This time there's another boat, but it's HUGE, like cruise liner sized, and it's blown against all of the buildings. The wind keeps blowing it, and the water surges beneath it, slowly pushing it up the back sides of the buildings, until it too reaches the top. I think for sure we are screwed, there's no way we can dodge a boat that big and as heavy as it must be it'll probably land closer to the buildings than the tug boat that just barely missed us. There are several creaking sounds, and the tops of the buildings begin to collapse, then the wind blows extra hard and miraculously blows the boat over us so close that if I hadn't been ducking in fear I could have reached up and touched it. The water splashes behind us, and I see myself in third person for a moment and notice my hair is shoulder length again (in real life it's not even past my ears) then I'm back inside myself and standing up. I'm shaking, but before I can be relieved again, I look up at the buildings, and they are blowing to pieces. Beams and windows and panels of some kind are raining down around us, I'm leaning left and right and forwards and backwards, avoiding the debris like Neo from the matrix, only no where near as calm and confident. As the last of the buildings collapse, my phone starts ringing. I think it odd that my phone is ringing, with all the crazy things going on, a ringing phone seems too normal and every day. I answer the phone, and it's my grandmother. She asks if I'm alright, and I say yeah, we're in the storm, but somehow we aren't hurt yet. She tells me that the whole town I'm in is being evacuated and that I should come to her house about 20 minutes away by car to seek shelter. I thank her, but tell her I'm going to find shelter closer to where I am because I don't have a car and I don't want to be out in the open during this insane storm. She tells me that she understands, and to just be careful. I tell her I will and hang up the phone. I turn to my dad to tell him we need to find shelter, and that's when I was woken up by my daughter screaming in her bed because she had a nightmare with a "Vewry vewry scarddy monster"

I just found this site yesterday, and spent several hours on it because I've found answers I've been searching nearly a year for. I didn't figure I'd dream last night as I went to bed very, very late, but instead I managed to have more dreams than usual! So many, that I'm having a hard time remembering the earlier ones! I had to make a list of keywords to follow to remind me of the dreams. None of them are lucid b/c I struggle w/ achieving lucidity. They're also oddly mundane for me, my usual dreams contain lots of crazy happenings.

First dream: The first dream was pretty much my brain rehashing the time I spent on this time. I found myself on the forum "Beyond Dreaming" and I'm seeing a post that says "looking for a real dreamer I met last night. 12345" and for some reason in the dream I think that's me they're looking for, even though I've never had a confirmed shared dream, I only think I've shared a dream with someone before.

Second dream: I'm in what looks like a two story book store or library. The second floor is more like a balcony on the left side of the room, with a gradually curving staircase that follows around the right side of the room. There's a lady behind a counter stackes high with books. I'm talking to her about books, and realize that she's my high School Drama teacher. I can't remember what we were talking about because it was so early in the night, but she points to the stairs and I go up them. At the top of the stairs there are several windows with flowing curtains, and a big wooden bed made of logs with crisp white sheets. In the bed sits an Aunt of mine who lives across the country that I've never met offline before. In real life she has cancer, so I think that is why I see her in the bed. She's talking to me about me coming in through the window, and I think she's angry about it. I feel guilty and tell her I'm sorry I won't do it again, then I scamper off down the stairs and out the front door of the store. There's an SUV outside, and my husband and two kids are in it. I climb in the passengers seat, and we start driving away. The sun is setting, but it's not really dark yet, just twilight. I'm watching the scenery fly past me, and I notice this beautiful fountain/sculpture in a front yard that is simply breath taking. It seems to be made of Glass. The glass is sort of clear, except it's covered in thousands of hand sized frosted spots. It's about six feet high, and looks like several circles, half circles, and crescents artfully arranged with no apparent rhyme or reason. Theres water flowing from a medium sized circle on top, down into a half circle that seems to make a bowl about four feet lower. I think it's beautiful, and turn to watch it even as the car passes it, until the other scenery I'm driving past blocks my view. Then I notice several other structures resembling that one in various other yards. I point them out, and my husband agrees they're "nice". Then he turns the SUV around. I don't ask why, but the sun has disappeared over the trees now and it is very dark. After a hundred feet or so of driving, the closest glass sculpture lights up, not just one color, but each different circle or part circle has it's own color. It's truly spectacular to me. When we drive past the first sculpture I had noticed I see that the ball is Blue, and the part circle forming a bowl is pink, and the water that flows between the two takes on the pink and blue colors as a gradiant, making purple in the middle where they meet. My husband pulls the SUV into a parking lot a bit farther down the road, and I get out with my little boy. I realize we're at gamestop when we go inside the building. My little boy wants to play xbox, so we start playing the demo unit. a lot of time passes, though I can't remember what game we were playing. A clerk comes up to me, and I notice he'd a coworker from a job I had when I was pregnant with my boy several years ago. He tells me that we've played long enough and we need to leave now. I go back out to the SUV and wake up.

Third dream: I'm in a circle turn around like you see at the end of a dead end street. It's not the same circle turn around that we live on now, but it does remind me of a neighborhood I grew up in. My husband is cleaning out his work van, and I'm watching and talking to him to keep him company. We're talking about buying a new house, and my husband and I seem to think we finally have the money to buy a nice, newer home that wasn't built 75 years ago. Then a grey or tan truck pulls up. My husband is inside the van, so I turn around to ask the man in the truck if I can help him. He tells me he needs to talk to the cable guy who drives the van because he hit a deer and that deer bounced back and hit the mans truck. My Husband comes out of the van ans acts like he knows the guy and they're friendly to one another. But I'm angry because I think that if he hit a deer in his van and it did damage to someone elses vehicle her could lose his job. Without his job I think our opportunity to buy a new house has just flown away. I look to my left and the SUV from the previous dream is there. I open the door and my kids are in the back seat in their car seats, so I climb in with them. I realize the car is on b/c the ac and radio are on. I go to reach forwards to turn it off, but instead the SUV starts moving forwards. I struggle to climb into the front seat b/c we're getting close to the main road really fast and i need to stop the car before it runs out into traffic. I wake up before the car reaches the main road.

Fourth dream: I'm in our Silver Camaro, but it looks NICE. The paints not peeling or anything, it's just the way it was when I drove it in high school. I pull into a store that was also built during my high school days. It is a hardware store, gas station, and grocery store all combined. I'm a country girl, and this was the closest store for about a 20 minute drive for Groceries gas and hardware, so I know it pretty well. When I get inside the store in the dream though, it's HUGE, much bigger than in reality. I can see that I've walked in the hardware side because I see lawn mowers, rakes and leaf blowers to my left. I didn't look right. Instead I walk down the center of the store until I see a display with a television screen with lots of flashing. I go to see what that's all about, because it's out of place to see a tv display in a little locally owned store. The display is for an adult novelty item, and I quickly become both embarrassed and curious, but a guy I went to school with walks up at that time and starts pulling me back to the entrance. I follow him without complaint, even though he was someone I only recognize, and never actually talked to much in school. He takes me out the door, but then says "never mind" and drags me back inside the store. This time, there are a few benches on display to the left as well, and a couple of people are sitting on one. I notice straight ahead my mother and her best friend are walking towards the hardware section we are in, and the guy dragging me around rushes me over to a bench behind the one with people already on it. When we are seated and sufficiently hidden from my mother, I can hear her talking very loudly, saying that since I am not around anywhere she wants to tell her best friend something about me. But then I get angry that she's trying to talk behind my back and I jump up from my seat and yell at her. "Don't talk about me! If you want to talk about me, give me back the car and stained glass I lent you!" (In reality, she is borrowing one of our cars, and I'm not happy about it. She is borrowing the Camaro I'm driving in the dream. I don't have any stained glass though) She gets angry and yells something back at me about how she gave me that car when I was a teenager, and it's her right to borrow it. I counter that my grandmother paid for the car and gave it to her before she gave it to me, so she couldn't hold that over me as it was given to her and she didn't earn it. I say that we (my husband and I) are the ones who fixed it up after she ruined it, and I don't want her ruining it again. Then I wake up. The end of this dream VERY much reflects how I feel in real life about her guilt tripping me into letting her borrow my car.
