    Lucid: Blue
    Approaching Lucidity: Gold
    Non-Lucid: Black
*Color Coding hasn't worked in my DJ since mid June 2023, so LDs are simply marked with: (LD) from that point on.

    1. Meditation & Blue Noise

      by , 04-18-2016 at 11:20 PM (Oneirin's Dreamworld)
Second LD of the night. I am playing an old video game. I become aware that if I make it to the coastline with my character, I will have a LD. I make it, and have a false awakening. I don't accept that it's real as I notice I'm on the opposite end of the bed. I become lucid. The dream goes black at this point and I begin to demand of the dream more focus and clarity. Nothing occurs. I decide to take this as an opportunity to meditate within the dream in order to hold strong focus without any visuals. My focus is single for a short period of time. At some point I am aware I am in a room facing a wall, and I begin rubbing my dream body. A blackout is coming so I begin meditating again. My focus is very strong this time. I become aware of sounds at either end of my point of awareness. I have the thought that it must be a reflection of the lucid dreaming state as represented by a concept of brainwaves. One humming sound appears as 'blue' and is to the right of my point of awareness. The other is to the front left and I don't recall a color. I have a strong awareness for a bit, yet the dream fades after a period of time and I wake up.

    2. Room of Sun and Mirrors

      by , 04-18-2016 at 11:08 PM (Oneirin's Dreamworld)
First LD of the night. I am with [S] and look at my cell phone which displays: 7:16. I think this can't be, and that I'm going to be late to work. I don't buy it, walk over to the sliding-glass window and just know I must be dreaming. I hold out my hand out of habit and notice minor transparency. At this point I am fully lucid and drift through the glass into an open room with sunlight spilling through the roof of the room. The light was most yellow, providing slight tinges of green as it reflected off of the water. There are large mirrors and windows around the entire perimeter of the room. A large rectangular pool with aqua water sits in the middle of the large room. The realism is simply unbelievable; it appears no different that waking life. I immediately seek to remember my goals and shout to the dream: "How do I develop my lucid dreaming ability?!". I ask a few times with no response from the dream. I look around this sun room with the pool in the center and wonder how long the dream will last for. It feels very stable, and I reason that it'll probably last for a while. I look to the right out one of the large glass windows and notice a large stone figure situated about 50 meters away. It is a cross between a stone Buddha statue and a lion. The stone is a light gray color and positioned next some grass along a row of evergreen trees. I begin rubbing my hands automatically and decide to look into the mirror, remembering typical stories which I've heard in podcasts. I'm interested to see that there is no reflection. Wanting to develop the dream, I decide to phase through the mirror. When phasing into the mirror, my initial impression was that I entered an area resembling outer-space yet with less stars. It seemed as though there was infinite potential in this area that hadn't been tapped, yet my awareness diminished in this void. I feel as though I am aware of eyelids at this point and resolve to keep my eyes shut as I believe I am becoming aware of my sleeping body. It seems as though it developed into dream blindness at this point, and the dream soon faded.

    3. Stone Throne in the Clouds

      by , 04-16-2016 at 01:18 AM (Oneirin's Dreamworld)
Third of three LDs of the night. I am on a tram on a sunny day when I look toward the window, place my hand against the glass and say "Bam, I'm lucid". (Something just seem to 'click' at this point, as though a critical level of awareness was simply reached). I turn around and decide to meet my dream guide. I am beginning to head through a wall to pursue the goal in another scene when I suddenly realize I actually intended to meet my 'Spirit Teacher' in the dream state. At this point, I dive through a stack of magazine piled up against the wall of the tram. This stack is situated next to a side room which is partitioned by curtains. I attempt to change the dream scene by diving through this stack. It is successfully (The most successful attempt I've had at changing scenes as I arrive in a new location with the intended goal, with lucidity). I find myself among the clouds on a a massive circular stone slab. The stone is engraved with jade carvings - intricate designs weave their way throughout the entire surface which is roughly 75m or so in diameter. I notice epic music playing once on this massive stone in the sky. I notice a female figure sitting cross-legged upon a throne on the far end of the stone. She appears to be elven. I get the impression that this was a manifestation of the spirit teacher I was seeking in the dream. I approach to speak with her, but the dream begins to fade, and I wake.

    4. Yellow Grove Flight

      by , 04-16-2016 at 01:09 AM (Oneirin's Dreamworld)
Second of Three LDs for the night. I'm walking through a field with my brother talking about All Day Awarenss as a method to become lucid. At one point in the walk within the grove, I spontaneously turn to him, levitate up quite a few feet, smirk and say "Now I'm Lucid". We are neara a long row of brown wooden picnic tables which were lined up. I had peviously run across all of these as I was explaining ADA. I see him run a bit on the ground as I ascend and say "[B]...if that's who you really are...". Beautiful yellow-amber sunlight comes into the grove, providing a Spring/Surreal feel to the entire surrounding. Rather than continue to fly, I decide to resist the temptation and focus on recalling a goal. I descend to the ground and want to focus on speaking with a guide within the dream. The dream begins to get dim as I walk across the grove along a line of evergreen trees. I remain focused. I begin spinning to change scenes. At this point I feel as though I am in the dream and simultaneously feeling my eyelids. I am very careful with how I manipulate vision within the dream as I become very aware of my sleeping body.

    5. The Darkened House

      by , 04-16-2016 at 01:00 AM (Oneirin's Dreamworld)
First Lucid Dream of the night. I moved my head a bit upon awakinging and feel as though a great deal of the dream memory was difficult to retrieve due to this. I am lucid in my childhood house with no memory of a definitive starting point. I immediately think to begin on one of my LD goals, and meet a spiritual teacher within the dream. Before taking action, I head to the backyard of the house. I am by the sliding glass door in a very dark family room. I resolve to stay focused regardless of black-outs/voids which seem to be approaching. I continue to remember the exact nature of my goals in the dream, and run through my memory a bit more. I do not do anything to ground myself into the dream at this point as I am too focused on the purpose I wanted to accomplish. However, I am successful in sharpening my awarenss and moving through a period of dream blindness. At one point I head to the kitchen and see my mother out of the corner of my eye. I decide to head to the fridge, and open it. I decide to take a couple pieces of toast and put both pieces in my mouth at once and continue on with exporing. I noticed the strong sense of the class texture of toast on my tongue and on the roof of my mouth. It had hints of butter as well. I head back to the family room around this point and the dream nears a fading period once again. I regain awareness, and I believe at this point I arrive upstairs. I attempt to refocus the dream by changing the scene and continuing on with the goal. I head to the hallway and feel the presence of my brother in his room. I spin to keep stability and attempt to end up in another scene. This is all taking place in the middle of the hallway at this point. I decide that I'll head through the glass window opposite the entry hall as a new scene did not appear. I set my mind to encounter a new scene once I head through. I end up with a vision in the dream at this point as though only my awarenss is present. I am in a new location, with narration from a co-worker (I was talking to this person about dream a couple days prior). She explains that she has gotten good at changing dream scenes. There is a squiggly arrow leading up between a walkway. The walkway is situated between walls of two adjacent walls which appear to be enges of a lodge of some sort. She then explains she likes spending time with her family in this ocation. I wake up around this point. The entire dream felt to be roughly 12 minutes.

    6. Bridge to the White Temple & Clock Tree

      by , 03-31-2016 at 01:57 PM (Oneirin's Dreamworld)
I automatically understand that I'm dreaming, and feel no need to perform a RC. I begin by continuously working on increasing focus, clarity, and stability. I'm on a very surreal looking white bridge leading to a white temple on the other side of the narrow and deep chasm. The white temple has intricately carved designs worked through the upper portion of the roof. It is anywhere between 1 & 2 stories tall, nestled into the mountain face. On the other side of the bridge, near where I am standing, a black analogue clock is situated on the upper portion of a medium height tree. I continuously focus on saying: "Eric, Focus!" to gain stability, clarity, and increase mental focus. I decide to use the tree to implement some techniques from my Dream Yoga practices. I walk over to the tree and begin focusing on the tactile sensation of the tree bark. The tree bark is very rough, and contains shallow recess which work their way vertically up the trunk, maintaining slight curves throughout. I feel a whiteness coming over the dream and decide to meditate through it as it appears to be similar to the black void I encounter. However, this "white out" feels different than the void, and I feel myself awakening to what appears to be WL. With eyes closed, I run my memory backwards, and feel certain that it is WL. I go over the sensation of all fingers to make certain before opening my eyes in WL.

*The white temple on the top surface of the mountain is similar to a concept I was considering incubating in which I would ask my spirit teacher how to be wake in dreams all the time. I pictured this scene at the summit of a snowy mountain.

    7. Forest Chain LDs

      by , 03-28-2016 at 04:21 PM (Oneirin's Dreamworld)
The following entry is a series of five periods at which I became lucid during the night, possibly in more that one REM period.

      1. I appear in my childhood home and my awareness begins to increase. I check hands as a reinforcing RC and notice 6. I walk to the front of the room and consider flying out through the window, but decide against it as to practice & focus on stabilization. I simply becoming more aware of my surroundings as I stare at the corner of the room. I think back to DV posts and podcasts encouraging simply being aware of the dream and heightening awareness rather than influencing and getting swept away; I feel this greatly helped my stabilization & focus, and increased duration. I continue down the hallway and rub my hands a bit to increase focus. I head toward the window but notice a bit of black out coming. Instead of spinning like a typically did in the past, I decided to instead meditate in the dream, meditating through the void while using the mantra "I am dreaming".

      2. I reappear in an LD and notice immediately I am dreaming. I check my hands anyway. I decide this time to make it outside and quickly head toward the main entry and continue to walk, paying attention to surrounds closely without influencing. Once outside, I am happy with how vivid everything is and how stable everything feels. I then recall some dream goals I had written down: meeting my spirit teacher/guide. I shout out to the dream yet nothing appears. I continue down the street and look to the left. I see a beautiful forest grove behind the neighbor's house with slight orange amber light coming through. I have an inclination to head toward it and figure the dream is encouraging me there for a reason. I make my way behind the house with a very low flying movement, and continue on into a grove of druid/beastmasters. This area appears to be where their clan resides. I am greeted quickly by a young lean man with short blonde stubble short/med length dark hair, and ragged leather clothes of a druid. He is followed by a company of a few others int he clan which all appear friendly/inviting. I am currently inside their den/tent area waiting by a low table for them to approach. We are in a small room off to the side of the main building, with seats surrounding the table. I gaze into the main chamber beyond, and the walls apear to be adorned with an array of natural tapestry including pieces of animal pelts. There are a few additional members of the clan in the area, including males and females. The young man in front of me is intrigued at my appearance, and I begin to discuss the reality I'm experiencing. We both take a seat. I ask him something along the lines of whether or not he is a guide - he mentions he is confused about the reality I'm experiencing as this is his reality. I soak in the surrounding yet notice a bit of blackness coming. Once again I decide to meditate through. I inform the group that I need to meditate to re-emerge in a dream (intending to return/continue the conversation). I continue to recite the mantra "I"m dreaming" as the void approaches.

      3. I know right away that I'm dreaming and decide this time to head into the backyard as I remember the past dreams of venturing to the front. Once I descend into the back, I decide to enter a portal as I want to cover more ground. Rather than create a portal, I simply imagine that the surface of the bush will act as a portal to a nature-based dreamscape. As I walk in, the area becomes dark and unstable. Instead of meditating, I decide to walk through the bush and continue to pop out the other side. I re-enter the void state.

      4. I appear in my room and check hands to ensure it's a dream. I quickly head downstairs and decide to simply explore without interfering. I spend some time downstairs (possibly a minute or so, but memory is foggy at this period).

      5. Once again I appear somewhere around the upper floor and quickly fly to the frond and decide to ask the dream more serious questions which I have written in my RL DJ in order to incubate/give meaning to the the LD experience. Once I make my way to the street, I once again soak in all of the vividness. The dim reddish twilight makes it's wake through the darkened clouds as it appears to be the middle of night. I shout out to the dream "How do I develop my Spirit the most in this lifetime dream?! How do I develop my spirit to the highest degree in this life?! I wait for a response but nothing audible comes. I notice a pink light appear in the 2nd story window of a house a couple houses down. I reason that this would be a good place to head to. As I make may way closer, I begin to feel as though my body is stirring somewhere else (a strange realization which is difficult to relay) and I begin to transition to waking life. I am reluctant to open my eyes, yet move through a RC. Yes - I'm awake in RL!

Methods: Mantras, Intention, Mid-Night Awakening, Dream Recall
Details: ~5:30am after 6-7 hours of sleep. Roughly 15 minutes
Herbs/Supplements: Reishi, Tian Men Dong, Fish Oil, Apple Cider Vinegar

    8. Azure Blue Moon

      by , 03-23-2016 at 10:35 PM (Oneirin's Dreamworld)
I find myself in SP after a midnight awakening (induced by mantras) and focusing on recollected dreams. I relax allow my body to 'slide' untilt the lock is freed. I find myself standing in my old home standing in my bedroom. I look out to the hallway to the left: it is dark and I decide not to take this route as the hallway is dark and I feel it may not be stimulating enough and cause the dream to fade. I turn and decide to head through the window as the awesome blue light coming through looks interesting. I stick my head through and look to the right to see a large blue moon. I jump out and glide down from the 2nd story into the backyard and land on the ground. I begin shouting to the dream for more awareness and more clarity and begin focusing more intently. I rub hands as well. I recall one of my dream goals: meet my spirit guide. I head to the left to explore a bit more, yet the dream transitions to a false awakening. I do not catch it as I triple check my hands and the correct # of digits are present on all checks despite looking closely.

    9. Silhouette

      by , 12-22-2012 at 06:57 PM (Oneirin's Dreamworld)
I randomly realized I was dreaming while outside in the street. I headed to the end of the road and saw someone's silhouette through a window. I flew through the window and found a woman in the house. We talked for a bit before the dream began to fade.

    10. Over The Backyard

      by , 02-02-2012 at 12:21 PM (Oneirin's Dreamworld)
I was in my bed unable to move, and I started to get really frustrated. Eventually, I began realizing I was in sleep paralysis (although my thinking was still very fuzzy). As I calmed my self down, my body began sliding off the bed- I made sure that I ended up on my feet though. I walked toward my mirror and caught a faint reflection of myself without a shirt (accurate). I decided to jump through the 2nd story window although part of me wasn't sure if it was real life, so I was a little bit hesitant. As I jumped through and began flying, I got this amazing feeling- this sense of freedom that I was actually dreaming. I remembered that I needed to tell ST that I was dreaming so I started flying toward where I thought she lived (in my head at the time, she lived a couple blocks away). As I came over the elementary school, my brain interpreted it as being the middle school and I quickly got distracted. I decided I was going to mess with the kids and take whatever I wanted out of the cafeteria. I started eating hamburgers for some reason, and joking around with the lady working behind the counter. I started using the word "dream" in different contexts, but it started to really piss her off (like in inception). The dream started to lose clarity, so I knew I should just leave her alone. I started heading down the walkway, then saw a girl I recognized from one of my classes. I wanted to see what she would say if I started talking to her, but the dream became fuzzier, and I woke up.

    11. Vivid Waves at the Temple

      by , 10-19-2011 at 02:15 PM (Oneirin's Dreamworld)
I don't remember the moment that I became lucid. It seems as though when I do wakek-back-to-bed, I become lucid without having to do a reality test. Anyway, I found myself on a beach and to my left were the craziest barreling waves I've ever seen. Its strange how vivid these were; the colors were somehow more vibrant an alive than they'd be in real life. I continued down the beach then turned right to what looked like temple ruins. I started ascending the stairs, but I could tell the dream was fading. I began spinning to keep myself from blacking out, and I felt a strong G-force which kept me rooted in the dream. I soon found myself in a lecture room setting, but the dream faded soon after, and I can't remember the details.

I had an actual waking not long after, and another lucid dream, and I am a bit frustrated that I can't remember it.

    12. Orange Hue Lagoon

      by , 10-13-2011 at 12:26 PM (Oneirin's Dreamworld)
After a 4-5 year hiatus from trying to LD, I'm finally going back to my old methods, and trying to get better. This is the 2nd night, waking up after 6 hours and attempting MILD.

I'm laying in bed thinking about dreaming, what I should be doing for reality checks, and wondering if I'll be able to successfully LD again. I look at my hands and start counting my fingers (as I do during the day to reality test). I then notice I definitely went above 5 (I hope I can count, but let me try again). I hit 6, and it hits me pretty hard that I'm finally LDing again. I end up in a lagoon/marsh area, resembling a painting of a beach I have behind my bed, although I didn't jump through it. The colors are a vivid blend of red and amber, and there are people laying down next to the water. I decide to drag one into the water- I'm not really sure why. I continue down the marsh area a bit. The dream begins to fade though, and I soon wake up. A crazy chain of Lucid Dreams and False Awakenings and ensues, but I'll fill in the entry later today.

      - An awesome 2nd day back!

This next segment was a string of roughly 3 Lucid dreams, all spaced out by real and false awakenings. My memory isn't exact though as I am writing this about a week after the fact. Anyway, I did not need to look for a dream sign; I was instantly lucid in my room. I kept trying to jump through my mirror since this technique used to work for getting into new dreamscapes. I constantly just banged into the mirror, however, but saw a pretty acurate reflection of myself. I decided to exit through the window. I woke up in real life, went back to bed, and the dream continued in a similar place. This time I flew into the backyard and landed on the first floor patio. The rest of the dream is a blur, although I do remember another awakening sometime during the course of it.
