It arrived! (UPDATED NOV 17 2015)

    by , 12-11-2014 at 06:02 PM (514 Views)
After a week long voyage from Kansas to Ontario my Dream Herb has arrived in the mail! I'm excited to make it tonight.. I heard the tea is gross but i'll go for it! Will update you all.

UPDATE (11/17/2015): I never ended up trying the dream herb, I threw it out. It didn't taste very good and my friends didn't trust the source enough to allow me to drink it. I probably would avoid dream herb and stick to something a little better regulated, like Valerian.

The Chontal people of Oaxaca reportedly use the plant, known locally as thle-pela-kano, during divination. Isolated reports describe rituals that involve smoking a plant believed to be this species, drinking it as a tea, and placing it under a pillow to induce divinatory dreams. Zacatechichi, the former species name, is a Nahuatl word meaning "bitter grass".[5] Users take the plant to help them remember their dreams; side effects include hallucinations, nausea, and vomiting.[2]

I'll have to pick some of this up at Tim Hortons!
