Smudgefish

I had arrived in a town with some friends to run a half marathon. I hadn't done any training. I said that I was going to run it in around 2 hours. We were on a playing field and we started moving toward the start line. There were big crowds of people all moving in the same direction.
I became separated from my friends. I was carrying a bag and wearing a big coat and looked for somewhere to leave them. I thought a bench would be safe, it looked like someone was going to do some children's entertainment there as there were balls and other things left lying around. I put my bag on the bench.
I still had to get rid of my coat. I wandered into a changing room but it would cost me money to hire a locker and I didn't have any, I almost hung the coat up on a hook but it was a nice yellow skiing jacket and I didn't want it to be stolen. Then I was suddenly in someone's house and he had offered to let me leave it there. I was stood in his hallway but I didn't actually see him. I was looking at lockers on the wall, there was a poster on the lockers showing a building, his mother appeared and told me it was disgusting and I knew she was talking about a gay nightclub and the friend was gay.
I was outside again. It was sunny and warm. I realised it was 5 minutes until the start of the race and I was a long way from the start. I was running down a sloping street towards the town center. There were too many people in my way so I had to run over some rough ground covered with thorns. I made it to the start of the race but I had left my runner number at home so I couldn't run. I watched the start of the race as I walked along the side of the street, there were shops on the side of the road. I saw a few other people dressing in running gear and wondered why they weren't running.
A man came up to me and started asking questions. I knew who he was but couldn't remember his name. Then there were several other men stood around me and I sort of knew them all but couldn't remember exactly who they were.

I had some other dreams but have forgotten them now.
