      Summoning one thing, getting another.

I seem to have a small problem when conjuring up some things. For example, last night I wanted to summon a Catgirl (it's my thing for all of you who don't know me). So there I was standing on a garage roof when I said to myself, "I will turn around and there will be a catgirl."
Well, I turn around, and instead of getting a catgirl, I got some old guy in some huge suit of armor. No idea how he showed up, but I proceeded to say, "You're not a catgirl..." and he replied, "Yes I am!"

      Strange. I know.

Anyway, what's the deal here? Why is it that I try to summon one thing, but get another?

Edit: This is probably the first time I've posted up in this section in like a year...I am a lounge dweller.

      Lol, that sucks.

Maybe during the summoning, create a mental image of the person or object you want to summon. In the daytime, kind of... turn an image of them around in your head so you know what they'll look like from the back, front, and side. Then expect to see them, assisted by the previous "daydreaming" of them, when you turn around.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

      Hilarious!

But as to why you got a old dude in armor instead of a catgirl, that's a tricky one without knowing what happened in the dream previous to that moment. Most likely there were elements that had strong associations with guys in armor with swords.

Or maybe you just overshot your target. Catgirls are associated with anime. So perhaps when trying for a catgirl, you activated your anime archetype, which undoubtedly has associations with guys with swords in armor.

I was at house. I climbed on top of my garage room (no idea why) then tried summoning. I don't necessarily associate catgirls with anime though, and if I did, old guys in armor isn't exactly my anime archetype.

I thought of something a little different for summoning that i haven't tried yet. Of course it's important to believe that the thing you want to be there will be there. Since your going for a living creature that can hear you, try talking to her before you turn around to see it there. I believe that by talking to it as if it is what you want to be there; that will further help you to believe it will appear.

You have inspired me to also try summoning a catgirl (they're so cute!). I like anime; you can tell by looking at the text over my avatar.

Anyway, if you decide to try this, let me know how it goes.

Maybe you could try taking the suit off of the guy and expect "catgirl" to be there inside of the suit...? That's all I have, I'm bad at summoning myself. At least you actually get something, though...

This happens to me, and yeah it sucks -_- . I try to get a hold of this guy who pops up in my dreams and every time, I get the wrong guy. But it's always the same "wrong guy" which is kinda wierd. I've even gave him a name because I see him often Cyre.

But what I do to summon - I hold both hands out in front of me and look away, imagine their face in my hands (so my hands are slightly up since they're taller than me) and then I look back and viola! There they are.

Too bad it's the wrong person, eh?

Hey, it would work. If it doesn't, GET OUT OF THAT DREAM!

That wasn't supposed to be interpreted like that... I expected somebody to note it, but seriously, it's a possible method.

      That's pretty cool!
rather than turning away and looking back again to make things happen, I prefer concentrating real hard on what I want to happen. That way I don't give the dream any chance to have its way.
when i have a lucid dream the first thing I will do isorder a pizza.

Next time use a door. If there is the guy with armor again (hahaha), just close it at his face.

Usually I use the door method, to teleport to other places and make people appear, for example. Other day I wanted to go to a specific hallway, I opened the door expecting it to be there, I got a kind of hallway, but not the one I was looking for. Then I just closed the door, did a better visualization on my mind of what I wanted to see in the other side of the door, opened it, and it was there. It's a good method, so you have how to fix if something you didn't expect show up.

Or you could just try the MArco!!! Polo!!! aproach to stuff. LD's aren't supposed to be all serious. Experiment, don't concentrate to much, just ask out "Wanna come talk? kinda bored of you stalking me." or something like that. And Marco-Polo really works well. Did it in my first LD and worked like a charm. In the rest i kinda just run into whoever i want. And stop being to serious. Take the guys example. Mayeb the Cat-Guy-Girl was disguised
