The manipulation of Dream characters to control your dreams

Hi, just wondered if anyone else uses dream characters during lucid dreams to direct the dream in direction you want it to go? Recently I have been searching my LD landscape for DC's and when I find them I talk to them, pretending to be someone they know or starting a conversation on the assumption that they know exactly what I’m talking about. For example if I wanted to hook up with a really hot girl, I would say to the DC something like "Hey have you seen my girlfriend around? I can’t believe how much of a lucky guy I am, she is so hot!" and let the DC lead me to where she is in the house! This or variations of this nearly always work for me except when I wake up during the conversation.

I control my dream characters by "knowing" they'll do something, just like you describe. In a sense, it's like replaying a movie I've seen, except I'm a character in it.

Yeah, I find that kind of role playing a good way to influence my dreams.

I recently asked a motorbike laden DC to take me to the future, I had a feeling it was gonna work, but the dream ended.

Yeah I do the same. I am rather manipulative in my dreams.
