I've been getting lucky with LDs in the past month, having at least two a night at least 4/7 days of the week. Weird, eh?
Only problem is, whenever I get into one of my LDs, I either wake up immediately or my dream ends up being 5-10 seconds long. I was lucky enough to get 15 seconds last night.
I've tried lots of techniques to rooting myself in the dream. For example, when I try focusing on things to keep me in the dream, like my surroundings, whenever I let down my focus down a TINY BIT it gets blurry as shit again.
Other times I'll just be walking or doing something in the dream, completely calm, and then I feel a huge wave of excitement wash over me, resulting in my waking up ( or having to do a DEILD, if I remember to.) The thing is, it doesn't really feel like I'm doing it. It feels like something else is in control of my emotions. I'll be doing something, get really excited, then depressed as I see the front face of my bed pillow.
I've tried looking at my hands, spinning around, using touch, smell, sight, even emotion to root myself into the dream, but none of it seems to work.
So now I've finally find the motivation to move my lazy ass and ask someone who knows what they're talking about on the forum. Taadaa!
But really, If any of you have techniques or tricks, original or commonplace, could you please help me out here? It's really frustrating having all of these wasted lucids.
Thank you!
