Need to get better at dream control. Please help!

In my most recent lucid, I could activate powers just by saying the name, despite a few minor problems. I say, "freeze time." It affects everyone, except one. I try again, and still no. I try again... nothing. At another part in my most recent lucid, I was running in an open field, and I yelled, "Super sonic!" And began running really fast. My point of view could not keep up with me though. I didn't feel like the dream was coming apart or anything. How can I approve upon this?

Have you tried visualizing things as you do them? When you're running, focus on what you're seeing ahead of you; it might help stop your point of view from falling behind. You could even imagine your POV is a camera on a dolly, which is following you as you run. I find that when I visualize something as much as I can, such as imagining everyone suddenly slowing down as time slows to a crawl, my control is better than when I simply shout commands. Actually, in my dreams I mostly just use visualization now, without even shouting commands. Simply expecting/visualizing something to happen, passively and without becoming excited or frustrated, can be just as effective.

      Keep trying, you'll get it!
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

If theres one pesky little DC that doesn't feel like listening to you, you can either ignore him until he goes away, get rid of him, or say something like, "you too!" while looking/pointing at the DC.
