      Difficulty With Dream Guide

So I've been trying to find a dream guide for a while now, and I've had 3-4 DCs claim to be my dream guide but they don't really seem like it, and it always seems to be a different person. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for finding a dream guide (my main purpose for LDing is soul-searching so goals like this to get in touch with my subconcious are pretty important)

The DC that tells you that he is your dream guide is most likely just another DC. Sometimes a DC shows up that is smarter than an average DC. Sometimes a DC acts as independent entity. If any of them is your DG or they just claim to be, that's hard to tell.

What you can do is talk to your subsonsious directly. Just ask a direct question out loud and listen/watch for an answer. Check out Robert Wagonners's Lucid dreaming -The gateway to the inner self. Happy dreams

Usually dream guides help you out in dreams, but sometimes also test you and become your enemy. Just keep looking and writing journals, you just might find them/the one.

Get good at using a clear audible voice in your LDs. Not just thinking, but preceivable sound. Then yell out loud "I am ready! Please help me!"
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

I honestly don't know that I ever talk in my dreams (even my non-lucids.) Most of my communication with DCs seems somewhat telepathic. I will give this a try though.

In my opinion this is a key step in getting a Dream Guide. Most dream sounds and communication takes place as thought. However, it is possable to hear sound clearly in dreams. It may not be common for some people but your dreams are set up for suround sound! Learn to create noise. Being able to talk or yell clearly is the goal, but you can start by just trying to bang things around and hear it. maybe start with just tapping your knuckles on a door and actuallly hearing it.

I have definitelly never heard my voice in non-lucids. And neither in lucids, untill I started practicing during day talking/yelling out commands. Try it, it works.

That's odd, I've always carried out dialogues in my dreams, quite involved conversations, even in non lucids, too. It's odd how much we all differ.

Also, I can't recommend Waggoner's book enough for the transcendent aspects of lucid dreaming.

Hey there, in my lucids, well some of them, my voice has an echo to it, it's really quite funny so I play around with it. I do agree with Gab though, shout out commands while awake, maybe not too loud or the neighbours may think you have lost the plot lol, but this tends to go with you into your dreams, it's prob the best way to get to hear your voice in your dreams, lucid or not

Talking about voices and your own in dreams, is quite interesting. Usually i speak in a whisper when i usually do speak or try to talk, if i do scream or shout it's because i am frustrated in my dream. The reason why i whisper is because when i say someones name to get their attention it usually works because it's like some kind of spell i am using with my voice kind of like a Mermaid's siren.
