How do you teleport?

Hi, this thread is just for people to see different kinds of navigating through dream environments and changing them. I've been trying a way of teleporting for a while, I'm getting closer, here's how I tried to teleport this morning. I am in a haunted house with about everyone from my school. The dream had started before, but I guess it continued an hour later. Anyway I'm in a chair and ask someone how many people died while I was gone. He said 10. Suddenly I recognize this as a dream. I can tell something bad is gonna happen and I'm going to wake up. I try my teleporting again. I draw a square on the floor and a green marker thing follows my finger. I got excited cause this was the first time it worked. ( I have tried in about 4 other dreams) I attempt to push the floor away and imagine being outside somewhere. I push it down and the floor goes down a bit. I can see light coming through the sides of the floor so I know something is there. I keep pushing and it is a bit like trying to push a pumpkin thing through a jack o lantern when you're carving. It goes slowly and I wake up, unsuccessful. Hopefully I'll figure the out soon. Cool way of teleporting, one of my coolest methods is summoning a black globe in my hand and smashing it off the floor creating a pentagram with a portal in the middle through which is disappear It's awesome because it's really scenic with all the light rays bursting everywhere, makes me feel like a boss. I can see the same potential in your own way

I usually just use a portal or a Stargate. :B

Usually I try to feel the sound of portal's vibration behind me, and when I look back the portal is there. The circle part of the portal floating in the air reflexes the scene of a place I wanna go. Or sometimes I just change the scene at will without doing anything. If I catch the feeling of destination pretty well I'm just right there. I think this is the quickest way to teleport lol

I do something similar to you, Tasca. I find a flat surface and draw on it with my finger, but instead if green, it leaves a glowing purple trail. As soon as an outline is complete though, I just step through into wherever I want to be. I've never had to wrestle with mine. Dutchraptor, that sounds amazing!

I've never been too good at teleporting, but I have managed it before. I always try to use the classic method of convincing yourself of what's behind the door. I approach a closed door and tell myself what's behind it, and then I can step through and end up where I want to be. Not quite as cool as everyone else's method, but still effective enough.

How do you teleport? I'll try to remember how I started to teleport. That was way back in the early 80's for me. I remember playing a video game during that time. It was Asteroids. In the game when you got into trouble you could teleport from your location on the screen to somewhere else. But you couldn't control where you ended up. So it was just luck where you teleported to. So in my early days of "Dream Control" I tried the same thing. If I got into trouble during the dream. I just imagined pushing that button on the game. I wasn't trying to get to any place in particular. I just wanted to teleport away from the situation. I tried it and it worked. Over time I would think of a place I wanted to go at any time and would push that button in my head. Now I just do it without thinking about. Poof and you are there in a instant. I hope this helps.

Damn... I can never teleport it sucks. I pride myself on confidence, but when it comes to teleporting I'm not worth shit Someone on DV told me I should try the door thingy, since it's the most basic way of teleporting. So my latest LD I was in my neighborhood and saw was gonna try to teleport. I imagined that there would be a beach behind the door and really believed it, then when I opened it. It was a normal apartment !!!! (Maybe it was because I knew how the apartment looked since I've been to my neighbours apartment before. And my subconscious created that? Shall I try a different house next time, or you guys got any other tip for me?

Shall I try a different house next time, or you guys got any other tip for me? I know what you mean. Usually control is a piece if cake for me, but I struggled with flying. What I found I had to do was to have something to give me the ability to fly. In other words, the first time I did this I pulled a small box with a red button out of my pocket. I pushed the button, and TADA! Instant flight powers. Maybe try that. And it doesn't have to be a button. It could be a pill, a spell, some magic thing you put on, like a ring, etc.

I thought spinning was the most basic way of teleporting, because it as a nice side effect also stabilizes / grounds your dreambody in the dream environment and it should be easier for you if the actual scene becomes blurry through spinning to create/teleport to your desired location. So maybe try it out, start to spin next time, ofc you must feel the sensation of spinning vividly and not just imagine it for the effect of stabilizing the dream and than just try to think of the location you want to end up in. Don't forget to remind yourself while spinning and after it worked that all you see is a dream, just to avoid losing lucidity after the change of a dream scene. Though I think you can already see by reading all these posts here, that how one changes the dream scene is very individual, try to experiment, maybe even try to create the new setting directly, like changing the shape of objects and all that stuff out from the old dream scene while still having your desired location in mind. It might work who knows, just be free-minded, its your dream after all

A way that I've tried to teleport, which works extremely well with water/ocean (although it could probably work if you imagine going through the ceiling of the room), is to dive face first at the ground. It works better with water because that's the way you would actually enter it from the surface. So say if you were walking along the road in a city, and you want to teleport to a beach, just start running, then jump and dive against the floor. As you hit it, imagine that the floor is the surface of the water, and that you will pass through it into the water. Then you will rise to the surface and be on a beach. This may work with imagining you are going to dive and fall through the ceiling of where you want to be, but I haven't tested that out yet.

I imagine where I want to be and just close my eyes. I am instantly there. Or I just turn around and expect the place I want to be there. I normally forget where I want to go, so I normally go random places or just wander around in my LDs.
