Why is it that when I get into a fight (usually I don't remember the fight itself just this part I'm about to tell) in a dream, and I gain lucidity and know what to do, I can never actually "punch" another human/humanoid creature, my fist always stops right before them. Is it like this for everyone or is it just something in my subconscious (sorry if I misspelled that)? |

Some people speculate that it's because the brain can't simulate physical feelings within a dream that we haven't experienced before, but that's clearly not true because you can do anything you want in a dream, including flying into space, to the moon, to the sun, turning into the sun, being a planet, etc. But a lot of people do have this problem, you're not alone. |

Maybe you are just against fighting or hurting somebody, maybe subconsciously, or not confident enough in your actions. If it's not wanting to hurt, then maybe try fighting robots or zombies, or if it's lack of confidence then try making yourself stronger, maybe strength potion, or the way RDM suggested with telekinesis, or you can think some other way by yourself, experiment! |

I have it too, it also happens in some light-dreams i used to have in class as a child. Ive had one dream in particulair last month where i really wanted to hurt someone. Most of my blows where ineffective and he mocked me for it. Then i gave him a headbust and it connected. The guy saying, now that is effective. |

I can't say I've experienced this same thing exactly, but I do know that fighting is a dream sign for me. Unfortunately, I never stop and think to myself "am I dreaming?" during the middle of a scrap. I haven't been in a fight since I was in school, but I seem to have a fighting dream at least once a week. I never have trouble fighting back and I always seem to be outnumbered, sometimes its a crowd against me. That's when I start using things like tk, otherwise its just instinct I use. |

I Dreamed a Dream
In it, saw people I've never seen
Gone places I've never been
And done things I'd do again.

I've never had a lucid fighting dream. Does this inability to punch/kick/hurt your opponent(s) occur in non-lucid dreams as well? Because in my non-lucid fighting dreams, on the occasion I have them, I've no problem delivering (or receiving for that matter) blows! |
