Lightbulb A Theory About Dream Control

I had this one vivid lucid dream where I think I can control my dreams successfully..

After realizing that I'm dreaming, I immediately thought of having a stroll with my friends and see beautiful views..
First I was seeing cool large buildings, and after that, I thought of seeing a beautiful sea, so I said to myself that If i walk on a bridge then I can see a sea, and poof, a beautiful sea after walking on a bridge.. However after viewing a beautiful sea, my wandering mind thought of a tsunami and there, a freaking tsunami, more like large waves coming to us... Trying to stop it after a while, I thought to myself that If I see a rainbow then the tsunami will stop.. Well, it magically stopped and after that, I continued to stroll with my friends, now a different friend of mine, seeing rainbows everywhere, on buildings, rainbow colored birds and leaves.. and then a beautiful parrot, rainbow colored, dropped on me and bit my finger and I woke up after that.. feeling refreshed and somewhat happy I guess..

Oh well, what I'm trying to say is that I used logic to that dream to attain what I like making your brain think that if that event happens then the effect will be something you thought of but that's just a theory of mine. Maybe because I'm just very lucid in that dream but that's how I controlled that dream. I've tried it again on my other lucid dreams twice or thrice as I remember but it's not very successful as this one.

      What do you think?

That's pretty much it. Regardless of how illogical something may be in waking life, if you expect it to work in the dream, its going to work.

Dream control works on expectation, and finding dream logic that can help strengthening the expectation indeed helps, though ofcourse direct control is possible as well with some practice. Check out this thread if you haven"t already: http://www.dreamviews.com/induction-...m-control.html

well, however, I think I can do that when I'm really lucid. I can't very much control some of my lucid dreams, i just know that i'm dreaming and that's all. That's why I need to practice

Um. heres a simple way i do stuff in nonlucid dreams, Imagine when you relax you're body that you can fly or run superfast, walk on water this actually works. When i was in the dream i don't usually remember anything from my previous ''life'' but sometimes when i try to relax in a dream i suddenly can fly or run superfast. though im too lazy or can't remember to do reality checks....
