Where the heck is my post?! It's been like 12 hours... and it got deleted? Oh, the admins want you to link back to your dream journal entry when you post here. Honestly didn't know that. Now I feel like an idiot. Well, here's the full dream journal entry:
Lucid Dream #81: What to Do? #82: Dream Music - Dream Journals - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views
Anyways, I just wanted to share this because I thought it was really interesting. A lucid dream with no visuals. This isn't the whole DJ entry, just the interesting part.
I started listening to dream music. And I'm going to say that this was a lucid dream because I knew that the music was coming out of my mind. It was a lucid dream with no visuals. I was just in "the black" Something that I don't think I've ever heard of before. That or it was just a hypnoponic hallucination that I grabbed onto.
Now I don't know that much about music, but I will describe this to you as best I can. The song sounded electronic with a sort of synthetic piano and drum beat. The drum beat was stable and the drum sounded really deep, almost like a sub-woofer in a car. The synthetic piano sounded buzzy and obviously electronic, but in a soft, smooth way. And the piano seemed to have a sort of pattern of going up and down very fast creating really complex patterns. The third "layer" was these electronic beeps. They were subtle, but still they were what I was concentrating on the most. The sound was just so strange, but so engaging that I could really describe it. And had a pattern, but it changed a little bit in pitch and length. You would hear six beeps and then get a break for a few seconds where the Piano portion took over. The beeps sounded somewhat soft and deep for a "beep" sound and actually made the other instruments sound quieter for the moment they were played. The song wasn't extremely exciting, But not relaxing either. It was just beautiful somewhat medium-energy music.
As soon as I recognized exactly what was happening, I grabbed onto the song and simply enjoyed it. I knew exactly what was happening and was simply along for the ride. As I listened to this "mind's music" for what felt like two or three minutes. But I had to work not to concentrate on it too much or modify the song, otherwise I might damage its natural beauty. The song even gave a proper outro with the Beeps, Drums then Piano leaving in that order and I snapped out of the state and woke up.
