06/09/07 Back from a Long Absence!! (Did ya miss me?)

So I was gone for a while, but now I'm back for good, except when I'm too busy, on a trip, or get angry again. Just kidding. So let's have a little update on my dream life, shall we?

1. I've had big numero 27 LD's!

2. I've managed to kill 4 dragons while non lucid. Three by spraying water on them until their fires went out, and then rolling them into a dark pit of oblivion. And the other was dispatched by a barrage of non-lucid fireballs, and a few blue-purple lightning balls.

3. Getting closer and closer to my DG! Not gonna get into it, because it was just another "A DC lied to me" dream. He was my IRL friend Ian, so it couldn't have been my DG.

4. Figured out how to throw fireballs while lucid. There is a distinct difference between shooting fire out of your hand, and throwing fireballs. The former is more like a stream of fire, in my opinion. The latter is just like throwing a baseball. Except on fire. And awesome. That's the one I did.

5. I was the captain of a pirate ship, and my classmates were my crew. Just thought that was cool in light of the new movie.

6. Ran around a ferris wheel-like track. (Yes upside down.)

06/10/07 Lucid Number 28!

1. I only rememer the last part of this dream before I became lucid. Anyway, here goes. Apparently, I was working for this evil man who was a blacksmith, but I was also part of a rebel organization whose trademark was red headbands. I was standing in a dark, brown basement, with stairs off to the left. I was looking in a box that had tools, and several red headbands. I heard a man yelling to my right, but the sound was faint, and far away. I snatched up a headband, put it on, and bolted for the stairs. The room I entered was my grandmother's living room. I didn't realize where I was; I just knew the layout. I hopped over a couch to the right and landed in front of a door. I could hear the man coming up the stairs. For a second I thought the door was locked, but I grabbed the handle and wrenched it open. The door slammed behind me as a ran through Granny's garden, skipping stepping stones in my haste. As I curved around the outside of her house to the driveway, I heard the door slam again. When I reached the driveway, I stopped. Then it hit me: where I was, and how I got there. "Wait! I'm lucid! I'm dreaming!" I yelled at the sky. I could hear my pursuer stumbling in the monkey grass nearby. I needed to teleport, but how? I considered changing the world before my eyes, but I'd never done that before, and this wasn't a time for failure. I spun. The world melted away, and only black was left. An image of horses floated through my mind. I thought, "I don't like horses, but they'll have to do." I stopped spinning, but my eyes were closed. I opened them, but too fast. I was in my bed. I did a nose check, but I was awake.

2. I was reading Andromeda Strain by Michael Crichton. I actually am reading it IRL.

06/11/07 Helen, LD, Dance, David, DS, Disgusting

1. Ok, to get this one you need a little background. There is a writer whose name is James Herriot, who wrote lots of books about being a vet in 1930's England. In the books he talks about his wife, Helen. He loves her very much. Anyway, in my dream, I was reading a book about how he didn't love his wife and cheated on her. I thought, "That's not how it was at all!" I closed the book and started to go upstairs. I heard a voice. It was distant, and faint. It yelled, "Helen!" in a creepy way. It seemed to be coming from my brother's room. I got a strange sense of foreboding. I yelled, "What are you doing?" up the stairs. I heard, "That was me!" and woke up.

2. This started out with me going downa river in a small grey canoe. There was another person in the canoe with me. We entered a small cave, where the water was shallow enough to stand with your head above the water. At the far end were a few stone steps, and a doorway. Standing somewhat inside the door was a goblin-like creature. I turned the canoe over, and stuck my head inside the space between it and the water so I could breathe. The person with me did likewise. The canoe was magic or something, because we could see through it, though it was a bit blurry. We inched the canoe closer to the doorway. I tried to get an angle where we could see inside. There was a hall inside the door, curving to the left. There were several goblins. I knew they couldn't see through the canoe, but one pointed and yelled something. A policeman-creature splashed in the water towards us. I became lucid right about here. I knocked the canoe off and shot several dart-like projectiles from my hand at the man and goblins. I went up the stone steps and the person from the boat followed. We entered a room that looked like a modern day jewelry store. There were no enemies here, but there was another door off to the left. The room started to go black, so I spun, then looked at my hands. I thought I was waking up, but the room was just getting darker. As I stared at my hands I kept blinking. I said out loud, "Why are you blinking? You don't need to. Your eyes are closed, you're asleep!" I kept blinking. It felt good just to have that familiar rhythm. I broke a jewelry case and took out a gold bracelet that wrapped around my wrist like a snake. I considered putting a necklace on, but decided that it would take too long. I took the door to the left and entered a circular room. The room was dark, with torches illuminating it. There were about twenty enemies in here. My comrade and I looked at each other as if to say, "We got this." This was the first time I got a really good look at my companion. I realized he was male. We turned away from each other, and I let fly a barrage of darts. Only about ten enemies were left. We whipped out our swords and cut them down with ease. We took a staircase to the right, and came into an open room, with beams to walk on. The were enemies here my friend called Alchemists, (or was it Architects?) that could use magic. They shot purple lightning balls at us, but we dodged them. I killed a few of these guys with darts, but didn't get them all before I woke up. I tried to spin, but I was too late.

3. I was at a dance, and I walked into a hallway. Miles was there, and he said something nice to me. Anne-Marie said something mean to him, and I said, "Geez, he hasn't even done anything to you." I walked down some stairs into my old school's computer lab. Everyone was playing the music video of "How to Save a Life on the Computers." Anne-Marie came in and I left to go see Miles. Then I awoke.

4. I was at my school. A kid dropped dead in the hall from some sort of contagious virus. (Andromeda Strain! *gasp!*) I saw all this, but my dream-self had no idea. They put the kid in a body bag and left him there. They roped off the hall. They didn't move him for fear of spreading the virus. I went in the hall, went under the ropes, opened the bag and saw him. His body was twisted, like both of his legs were broken. He also had bunny ears and feet, but that didn't phase me. I yelled, "David, my friend David is dead!" and clutched him. I woke up. I don't know anyone named David.

5. I was playing Nintendo DS Final Fantasy 3. I was fighting a giant toad, and I could only use magic against it. I cast toad, (imagine that!) and it shrunk him. I then used my weapons to kill him.

6. I saw buckets of dead roaches, and felt like throwing up.

06/12/07 Lucid, Death Penalty, Travel, Handshake

1. I did the DEILD method, and spent this lucid on my bedroom floor seeing which shapes I could contort my body into. The only thing I did was detach my torso from my legs, (easier than it sounds, actually) and go all the way around my body and reattach. I started to way up with my torso in the wrong place, and It was hard to spin without legs. Needless to say, I failed.

2. I began this dream standing on a chair, with five or six people in a half-circle around me. I was going to be stoned to death, and they were letting me have my last words, apparently. They asked if anyone was a vegetarian, because the ritual would change if anyone was. Up went my hand, even though I was lying. All I was doing was prolonging my life. They asked why. I said, "1: Because it let's other people have more food, and 2: It's healthy." They seemed pleased by my answer and smiled at each other. That's when I bolted. I turned away from them and kept going. When I was still within earshot I yelled, "At St. Paul, Miles is there, they're going to hang him! They're going to hang him! At least there it will be quick!" I reached a road and followed it. I thought about fleeing into the woods, but I figured it would be harder to make ground, and I wanted to get as far away as possible. I ran. I ran until my muscles pumped battery acid. And them I ran some more. There were no cars. It was nighttime, and dark, pitch black. I came to an intersection, and from my right a crowd of people appeared. They were all running frantically. Miles was at the head of the mob, he grabbed me and said, "Run!" We followed the road for a few yards, but came to a dead end, facing a concrete wall. We turned and faced our pursuers. We all looked at each others frightened faces. Miles kissed me. We were resigned to our fate. I woke up.

3. I was rolling to luggage bags through a home depot. I dropped one but didn't realize it. That's it.

4. I was teaching a kid I know a secret handshake.

06/13/07 Law and Order Guitar, Cell Phone

1. The blonde DA from Law and Order was playing Purple Haze on the guitar and singing. It was pretty funny, really.

2. I called my friend Anna on a green cell phone, and she asked my if I had a copy of a latin test we had taken. I didn't but I said our teacher probably did. So I went to school to get it and turn in my book.

06/14/07 Flying Airplanes

1. I'm only putting the most interesting dream, because I'm running behind on this DJ. I was chasing after a fat guy and his fat kid. We were in a field, running toward a small, two-person airplane. Apparently, we had to get out of there. They got to the plane before me, but I threw the kid out, and the dad hadn't gotten in yet. I hopped in and manned the controls. It had on button, with two arrows, like the one used to lower and raise car windows. I pressed up, and the plane ascended. To turn I simply leaned. The man ran after me, trying to jump up to the plane. I wasn't lucid, but I definitely had a sense of control. I yelled something like, "You can't jump that high 'cause you aren't dreaming!" I kept pressing up and flew over a tall fence. I turned to the right and flew over a small lake, then landed in a woodsy area past it. I got out and walked on the bank of the lake. I passed I pelican and pet it, which struck me as weird, because they usually fly away if you get too close. I walked out on some rocks in the water, but that's where I woke up.

06/15/07 Piano, Ian, Party, Atlantis, Lost, Straw

1. Alex from Law and Order: SVU was teaching me how to play the piano. It sounded cool when she played it; I wonder if those were the notes IRL.

2. I had just been swimming at my friend Anna's house, and we were walking down the street with our towels wrapped around us. My friend Ian, who lives across the street, waved for us to come over. It struck me as weird, because he hasn't invited me to his house in years. I went inside, but Anna said she had to go home. We walked outside to a shed, and entered. For a second, we were the size of mice. As we looked up at this room, which seemed to be stories high, we grew. There was an old, rusty birdcage on the wall. It started talking.

It said, "This is where farmer John comes to torture his appliances."

We didn't say anything, just turned and left. The outside had changed; the ground was wet with rain, and we were on a small hill. There was part of an asphalt road on the hill, and it was wet with rain. I slid down it on my butt, like a slide. I went pretty fast, and when I hit the ground it hurt a little. Ian tried to skate down on his feet, but tripped. I was laughing.

He sat up and said, "Ow, my ankle. Stop laughing it really hurts."

I stopped, and he sat rubbing his ankle. A person appeared out of nowhere and yelled, "Get the popcorn!" I said sarcastically, "What, are you hungry?" and woke up.

3. All these people from my class were at my house when I got home. They'd just invited themselves in, to a party, they said. They'd taken out all my stuff from my drawers, and I was mad. Am, the girl a hate, (she's not going to my high school but she still plauges my dreams) was laughing. I said, "Quit laughing, and get out or I swear I'm gonna kick your ass." That's when I woke up. I wish I'd pulled out the ass kicking boots, though, she really makes me mad IRL.

4. I was looking at newspaper clippings about manta rays. It said big ones had been sighted in the Gulf. One had a 40 ft wingspan (finspan?), 60 ft, 80 ft, too. Then I was in my pool, with other people, and sharks were there. It was some sort of learning exercise. I didn't get bitten, thank god. Suddenly, I was in the ocean, in ruins, like from a sunken city. There were four or five stories, one right on top of the other, arranged in a U shape. They were rooms, underwater, and badly decayed. They were covered in algae, but still really cool. I had a luchbox with me, and I ate a cracker while I was underwater. It was dry. I swam away from the ruins, and a giant manta started chasing me. The current carried me to a platform where I climbed out. I said, "I don't like marine creatures." The person next to me said, "I know."

5. I got separated from my family while in an elevator, and I had to go on all these conveyor belts to find them.

6. I was at lunch with this girl Ishani.

She held up the straw from her drink and said, "I'm gonna use this straw in the clothes store."

I asked, "How's that going to work?"

She said, "Like a straw I guess."

I was still confused. I woke up.

Endnote: I realize I am more aware in my dreams than I was before. I don't accept strange answers, and I have one of my real-life skills, sarcasm.

06/20/07 Two Lucids, One Night

1. I was being informed that I, Trinity from the Matrix, (Just recently watched that movie for the bazillionth time, and they addressed me as Trinity) would be taking over as leader of the resistance. Then I was on top of a building riding a motorcycle with Hugh Jackman. Then I was in my old house's bathroom kissing Hugh Jackman, during which I became lucid. I continued along this path for a good 30 seconds, but then decided I would spend my lucid doing something else. There is a huge window right above the bathtub, so I ran towards it, and tried to go through it. It was like I hit a trampoline. It stretched, and shot me back into the room. I was not to be defeated though, and jumped through it again, this time successfully. It was a long drop. (we used to live in a three story house.) I usually land with a thud, like I've actually fallen a few feet, but this time I decided that I would take full control and land in style. I landed on my feet, bending my legs and steadying myself with one hand on the ground. Oh yeah. Too bad I woke up then.

2. I used the DEILD method, and was in my old house trying to convince two DCs I was lucid. There were some kitchen knives in their holder on the table, so I grabbed one and commanded the DC to stab me. (Brave, aren't I?) When he refused, I sliced the knife at his throat. He started bleeding, but acting like nothing had happened. I said, "See? You aren't dead!" But they still didn't beleive me. They told me to do something that wold convince them for sure. So I prepared to jump through the ceiling. I hesitated, unsure if I could get that much air. (Been having trouble flying lately) I jumped and went through the ceiling, entering into a city. There were skyscrapers all around, but they were red. I used my super jumping powers to get to the roof of one, where a fire monster confronted me. Then I woke up before I could fight it.

06/25/07 Advanced Task June 2007!!

I had an FA using the DEILD method. I phased through my window to the windowsill, then scaled the wall to the ground like a ninja. I started walking down the street, pondering the best way to approach the lucid tasks. I decided finding fire in a fireplace would be easiest. I started running, gaining speed to fly, when I noticed a dog running towards me. It was my gradmother's dog. I stopped and started petting its belly. I said, "You can talk now. What do you think of me?" It wiggled, excited about the belly rub and said, "Moogie, Moogie, Moogie!" in a woman's voice. I said, "No, no, hon. Real words. You can talk. What is it you think of me?" She stopped wiggling, looked up at me, and said, "I don't like your makeup." I smiled, in spite of the insult. Task done!

6/30/07 Dodging Bullets

1. I had a WILD, and found myself in my old backyard. I looked up at the sky; it was overcast, a nasty grey colour. I screamed toward the heavens, "I am dreaming, therefore I can do anything! I can fly!" I jumped around, staring at the sky, trying in vain to fly. When I finally stopped to take a look around, I found myself in a hospital's hallway. I may not have succeeded in flying, but I did succeed in teleporting. The ceiling was the same colour as the sky had been. I kept jumping around, and did this for about five minutes dream time. A woman told me to stop, probably because I was looking more and more like a giant frustrated bunny-rabbit. The woman started chasing me. I bolted down the hallway, then took a sharp left through a wall, and kept running. I ran faster than any human could, through about 30 rooms. (through the walls too) There where little flashes of light when I entered each room, and darkness again when I passed through the wall. I also got brief glimpses of medical equipment and patients when I started to slow down. I stopped running in a room with a big window; I noticed we were on the ground floor. The whole trip had taken less then ten seconds. The woman who was chasing me burst in the door. "How did she get here?" I wondered. I phased through the window, and ran about ten feet. I turned, and she had opened the window and was leaning out. I yelled, "Shoot me!" and spread me arms wide. She did. I slowed down time, and dodged the bullets Matrix style, but two of them were too close together and hit me, making me fall on the ground. I got up and turned to run or fly, but I woke up.

Hahaha. That seems to happen to me alot.

07/03/07 Dodging More Bullets

1. I had a WILD, and I was at my school. There were two armed men chasing me. (of course) The only part I really remember is turning and yelling, "Shoot me!" just like in the other dream. However, I am getting a little more proficient at bullet-time fighting. This time I bent backwards, did a flip to the left to avoid three bullets, and then bent my head back to avoid one heading for my left eye. I woke up once I stood up. If you people haven't done this, you need to. It's awesome.

2. I had a DEILD, but the clarity was poor. I tried rubbing my hands. It stabalised for a second. I spun, but that didn't work either. I tried both at the same time, and I felt myself losing the dream. I phased through my window (becoming a routine of mine) and woke up when I hit the ground.

Sounds like you have good control. I haven't been able to return to LDs yet but I'll keep it in mind. Someone said something about it in another thread... *racks brain* can't remember.

07/06/07 Prison and Painting?

1. My dreams haven't really been very cool at all the the past few days, which is why I stopped writing them down. But in this one I was working for the government and I was sent to a prison for some reason. It was underground. They put me behind a thick metal door, along with three other people who were with me. The door (more of a partition, really) started spinning rapidly, blocking my view of us. (This was all in the 3rd person) When it stopped spinning, we were gone, sucked into the ground. Then it was first person, and I was with a girl who used to be in my class, Shawn, and Brenda Leigh Johnson from the Closer. Our punishment was painting a wall white and orange. I stepped back to see if we missed anything, noticed a couple spots, and then woke up.

Mental Hospital

The last thing I remember was talking to people I knew were mental patients. One guy had trouble talking, and when he shook my hand he squeezed it too hard and it hurt. And some lady mentioned "Walker Boon" which was someone's name. Then a guy was leaving, and he had some socks in a basket. Apparently his daughter was the girl who is Phoebe from Charmed, and she was going to take his place there but she didn't want to. He handed her the socks and walked away. In my dream I thought the whole thing was a movie.

Swords, Bows, and Arrows

I was playing a game where two teams fought each other with real weapons. The battlefield? Two floating platforms in the sky, with buildings, too. I chose a sword, that was curved, kind of a soft zig-zag. I had to stab a window, and it straightened out. Then I was fighting, but I only remember our team winning, because the other team got really sick and couldn't move. The other platform was about twenty feet away, with nothing between us. I had to fly over there and kill them, but I missed with my sword because I was too far away, and could not fly any closer. Then we were on the ground, about to start another game. I chose my sword, but this time it didn't straighten out. I grabbed a bow and a quiver of arrows. Then I woke up.

Wacky Elevator Ride

At first I was a dinner with all the kids in my old class. I was having a heated argument with AM, the girl I don't like, about a comment I posted in real life mentioning I was an Atheist. At least, it was heated on her end. I calmly stated that I was simply expressing my opinion, but she yelled at me. Suddenly, our entire class including our PE teacher was in an elevator. I had on a white hoodie, while everyone else had on white T-shirts, and I was hot and uncomfortable. I said, "Shit, it hot!" and stripped off my hoodie. Everyone was wearing gloves, and I had mine in my pocket. Or, at least I thought I did. I only had one. I looked down, and noticed a suitcase at my feet. I started digging in it, but couldn't find anything. Then I looked up because someone said something to me, and when I looked back at the luggage there were gloves inside. I wondered how they had appeared for a moment. (Ah, so close!) Then I stood up and realized that the elevator was plummeting. It felt like the Tower of Terror. Strangly, I wasn't afraid. I told myself that it was just decending quickly, but I didn't really beleive it. Everyone was acting so calm. Then I just waited for the crash, but I woke up.

Helicopter Show

I walked into the Rave movie theater, and someone hands me a book. It's a bok that exists in real life, that I read in about 2nd grade, called Rising Tiger. (not sure if that's the real name, but I recognized the cover art.) I'm going to see a movie based on it, apparently. I go to these stadium seats that are right in the lobby. When I turn to sit, there is a giant body of water in the floor, and a helicopter flying above it. A person is hanging by a rope from the helicopter. They have a caribiner that they have to attach to the rope, and then they have to drop in the water. Suddenly, I'm that person. I attach the caribiner, they ask me if I'm ready, yes, and I drop a long way into the water. Then I'm back in the seats, and another person is up there. They look scared. I wonder what they would do if the person attached the caribiner and then didn't drop. But I woke up, and I don't have to worry about that anymore!

Van Ride with Lunchboxes

I was in a an that had four rows of seats. There was no one in the back. I was in the second from back with my boyfriend Miles and good friend Rhen. In the next row was AM and an 'unknown (IRL) friend'. In the next row were Ian, James and Randall. I had a dark blue lunchbox, and AM's row had two light blue ones of the same style. This part was a bit strange. Rhen was pressing his face against mine, but I had my hands between my face and his. He wasn't trying to kiss me or anything, just annoy me. Muffled, I said, "Rhen, stop, you're smushing my nose," and some people in the front said, "ooo, look, they're kissing!" I laughed and pushed Rhen away. Then I pulled out my lunchbox and started eating Peppridge Farm Bordeux cookies. I left about five and put them back. Miles asked if I had any food, I said yes and pulled out one of the light blue lunchboxes, and pulled out some pretzels. I handed them to him. Then AM and her friend got mad because we took their food, and I said, "I grabbed the wrong lunchbox!" and they understood. I did get the wrong one, although somewhat on purpose.

Falling Behind

I was going over a bridge in a strage vehicle that had a cord like a lawnmover that powered it, and a big sinning pole in the back used to turn it. The rest was just a platform. I was on the spinning pole, and James was pulling the cord. I would lean to turn the cart. The spinning spun me too, and I started to get pulled away. I alternated sitting and standing, and decided standing was better. Then a teacher told me to sit, and I told her I was getting pulled, and James took my place, and Jamie took his. Then we were in wooden hallways on little scooters that you sit on. Mine was too small and I kept falling off. Strangely, they had no motor, but could go uphill, downhill, and straight with no effort. Then mine was in two pieces where I'd sit on one and put my feet on the other. I had more trouble with this. We finally got to our destination where we were going to eat dinner. There was soup with beef, tomato, and corn. There were peas with peppers and mushrooms. And there was ranch dip with carrots. Wesley was mad about the soup not having corn, but the corn was at the bottom. He held up a spoonful and spilled it on my head. Then I got a bowl and got the stuff I wanted, carrots and ranch last. I was about the get ranch when I guy started yelling about how it was only for the parents. I was like, "I didn't even get any and this guy goes into a big speech about how I'm sacreligious (he said that) and everything. I...must be dreaming." I did the nose RC, and yes, I was. But I only had time to feel stupid about beleiving it all before I woke up.
