      What's your strangest dream sign?

What is your strangest dream signs? For me, it's simple things that I never noticed before I hadn't of heard of lucid dreaming... For instance.. In one of my dreams, I remember swimming in a lake and I ran out of breath underwater so I started breathing again, and to my surprise, I could breath underwater. I just didn't catch on that it was a dream

My strangest dream sign was when I saw my brother turn into a ghost.
Anyway I am new to the forum.
I also do reality checks when I am not even conscious that I am dreaming. I realize that it is a dream when the reality check works.

UFOs is kind of strange and a usual dream sign for me ^-^ And yeah I have also had dreams of breathing under water without realizing it is a dream ...

Colorful mushrooms that are 3 feet tall. Last night they were growing near my school, not far from the cow trapped in the fence.

I'd say mine would either be stores/supermarkets/shops or terrifying, tragic, or miraculous events. (Something amazing happens OR something horrible happens OR something ridiculously scary happens.)
V: Who? Who is but the form following the function of what, and what I am is a man in a mask.
Evey: Well I can see that...
V: Of course you can. I'm not questioning your powers of observation. I'm simply remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.

@YourDreamingNow How do you make yourself to make reality checks in dreams? You may go all day long making checking like closing your nose asking questions am i dreaming etc But when it comes to a dream you do not have a chance to remember it

The more you do it in real life, the more chance you have to doing it in your dreams. I tend to do reality checks if i notice anything strange in real life.. because when I notice strange things in my dreams, I do reality checks and thats how I get lucid. Another thing that would help you is the MILD techniuqe.

Dhaz, just don't give up. It's not like theres a chance of you never being able to lucid dream, it just takes time and dedication Totally worth it though

I've also breathed underwater but it didn't strike me as strange enough to wake up. Need more practise. I have gotten lucid by recognising someone from waking reality in my dream. I also just realised today from reading my dream journal that doors feature a lot in my dreams, so next time instead of merely opening one I intend to walk through it, or see through it.

About breathing underwater, well, this happens to everyone, it's the basis of the nose plug reality check. Two parts of the physical body are completely controlled/able to be controlled while REM, eye movement and breath. When you are blocking your breath during a dream, that doesn't happen in reality, so you breathe, so it's not much of a personal/weird dream sign, but it definetely is one!

I experience overflow of military equipment in my dreams. Just looked through my journal, and the last 41 dreams except 2 have involved some kind of military theme, whether it be people wearing combat jackets, guns, military bases, tanks, you name it. In one of them i went to school, and as i placed my bag next to my chair it was a military backpack.

I wouldn't call this a strange dreamsign in and of itself, however the amount of times it shows up is quite mindblowing.

On a further note, even though i have been in the Army, it's not something that fascinates me, so i am puzzled at why it shows up in almost ALL my dreams.

      Anyway, just sharing.

I have never had anything to do with the military, but I had a recurring dream a few years ago where my house was full of people who appeared to be really busy. They weren't dressed in military clothing but they left in tanks and army trucks. Someone interpreted it to me that the military part might represent good planning, tools and strategies and that it might be a reminder that I had all the resources at my command to cope with the heavy stress load of work I had at the time.

Today I dreamt that I was in prison escaped from a hidden door in the wall that led to a broom closet where I changed to cleaning uniforms. When I got out some gurads were suspicious and I ended up getting chased by three giant helicopters. That was a pretty strange dream and even if it doesn't happen more often I guess I can call it a dream sign. xD

As i already posted above, my dreams are heavily influenced by the military.

In the last 2 days i have had 3 dreams where my work colleague Peter was serving up lasagne (wtf?) in a army tent.

1st. dream it was in the middle of a jungle.
2nd. dream it was on top of a roof.
3rd. dream it was in the middle of a bank robbery.

It's always randomly placed, always the same tent, always 4-5 customers, and always something i am not "part of" and it's always in the "background" of the dream.

When i become lucid again, i'll set it as my first priority to find out what the heck is up with him and lasagne!

I am rather consistently agnostic, but I have religious dreams of just about any and every faith.

I'm afraid that I haven't had many lucid dreams yet, but the strangest as of yet is when I walked outside and seen six full moons in the sky.

The sky is another one of my dream signs. I have not seen 6 moons or anything, but if I catch myself thinking the sky looks amazing, it is often because it is a dream.

Dream signs are only things that repeat right?

I would say me and my wife being best friends with our old significant others (our old significant others got married). This is a reoccurring one that is really weird since we haven't hung with them for years.

Being able to fly. Not even kidding, this happens a lot. I float randomly in dreams.

The Ocean. I live in Kansas.

I believe dream signs are things that appear in almost all your dreams.

My brother is seriously in 99.98% of my dreams. Something would be up if he isn't in one. I don't consider him a dream sign though, as I see him everyday anyway.
I do not really have any dream signs specifically otherwise. Falling upwards I suppose, but that has only happened maybe once since I started to attempt lucid dreaming. That occurrence showed up all the time before, but its seemingly gone now.
I have become quite interested on the layers of lucidity, and I use them to measure how lucid a dream is. For more information on these layers, click here.

I don't drink beer, can't stand the taste of it. Sometimes in dreams I will think that I'd like a beer and someone will put one in front of me but then I realize that I don't like the stuff and occasionally I will wonder why I asked for one to start with and I'll realize it's a dream.

Another one is me hitting on girls/ flirting with girls. I do not do this IRL since I am married and all, but in my dreams I often find myself younger or a woman or something else and I will be trying to get a gals number or be making out with a girl.
