The same thing would happen to me. Before I would only recall dreams once every four months. Now I'm recalling dreams about once every month. That's a big difference if you ask me, and all I do is just hold a dream journal in my phone and it helps. |

Okay well i'm fairly new with this whole Lucid Dreaming concept, so i thought i try to take it slow to start with and from what i've read, i should try working on Dream Recall and Awareness. I've been practicing ADA for a few days and i haven't had any problems with that, but i seem to struggle with remembering dreams every morning? So far after a week of recording dreams, or rather trying to, i only have one in my journal. Am i doing something wrong? Are there any tips or tricks that i could try to increase my chance of remembering a dream? |

I may be the wrong person to give advice on this since I too am struggling with dream recall, but here are a few ideas: (1) if you awake in the middle of the night remembering a dream, write it down then, do not wait till morning. (2) whenever you wake up, try to move as little a possible, and focus on remembering anything. (3) Be sure to record in dream journal any fragment no matter how small, or if you do not even remember that, try to record your mood upon awakening in your dream journal, also whether you have the feeling that you had a dream but just forgot it - even when we forgot the contents of a dream sometimes them memory that there was a dream is there, or if you remember even something as small as "I think I was myself in a dream." or "a conversation?" it "Sadness, I do not know why." Try to write in the dream journal every day, in the worst case scenario, even an entry such as "Don't recall any dream." is better than nothing since it reinforces in writing your intension to remember dreams. Good luck to both of us. Btw, I know that my dream recall issues are related to stress - do you have too much stress in your life? If so, try working on eliminating stress. Also working on improving waking life memory helps with dream recall. |

I agree with what JoannaB said. Keeping a DJ is very important. I would also add that a consistent sleep schedule is also important for dream recall. I have an average to good dream recall, but when my bed-wake hours deviate too much this seems to have a very negative impact on recall and lowers my chances of LD as well. |
