Alternate form of a dream sign

I've heard mention of something that seems similar to a dream sign but is made conscously. It was essentially a symbol or something entirely unique that you are guaranteed to see commonly, but only in one place. For example, a symbol painted on your roof. The idea is that the symbol becomes something that is so common and well known to you that it begins to pop up in your dreams, however it is firmly associated with a certain location, like your ceiling, so that you know when you see it elsewhere that you must be dreaming. Has anyone else heard of this sytem, or used it before?

Sounds cool to me. I like the idea.

It would still be a dream sign.

You would still have to RC on it when in WL. Otherwise it will just become same as so many other things you see every day that don't get you lucid.

I don't think so. Why make up an elaborate false dreamsign and do all the work to making it become a dreamsign when there are already things that are dreamsigns without effort requried?
