Another violent dream.

I bought a house, and every couple of minutes, I would have a visitor, and they'd attack me. I'd subdue them, and that would be it. In another dream, I was basically in control of a video game similar to Grand Theft Auto.

10.17:
Tried something different this morning. I woke up, but I was a little tired, so I attempted to WILD. Since I knew I'd likely fail recall if I did this, I jotted down as much as I could remember. In my failed WILD attempts, I also attempted to visualize the dreams.

First section of dream:

The theme of these were schools. I have been looking to go back to school, so it was interesting. The first dream surrounded around a letter that stated that a class I took in high school wasn't credible, so it invalidated both my high school diploma and college degree. I went back to what was supposed to be my high school, but the school looked quite different (missed Dream Sign). I continue school, and my REM Dreamer kicks on and I wake up to flashing red lights. I go back to sleep back in the dream I was thinking about before, and I was successful in that, but I missed more dream signs (we were talking about LDing). Eventually, the dream ended as I had to write "Ring around the Rosey" for extra credit.

At this point, I wake up, thinking I'd be up for the day, but then decide to attempt a quick WILD. The WILD failed as I couldn't get into SP. Once I stopped trying, I went back to sleep. The new dream had a family reunion with MANY missed dream signs. My bed, for example, was a waterbed in a bunk bed frame, but when I drained the bed, it was actually in a bathtub. Confused, I let it drain completely, met more family and friends. When I came back, the bed was made on a patio recliner. I, for some reason, decided to get my dream journal, and the jot downs were similar but different (yet another missed Dream Sign). I try to explain to someone who was nearby about my journal, but they were uninterested.

So, LOTS of dream signs I didn't train myself for. I need to start making dream sign testing a regular habit, and I really need to figure out where my issues are for WILDing. =\

An enlightening night, but a failure is a failure.

I can't remember my WILD attempt or the dream from it, but my first dream had me watching the world end. Missed dream sign: as I thought something, it would happen.

Possible second dream: I remember a cage filled with snakes of various types and two lions. The cage was various animals I found at this campground, but the animals got massive. Missed Dream Sign: the colors of the animals, along with the sizes, did not match real life.

Also, I could distinctly remember people talking about LDing. I think my dreams want me to get my Lucid Task.

Despite a great day, no recall at all. I tried to lay still for a while and nothing. I think I had too much anesthesia.

10.21:

Well, it's been a long ride, but I had my first intentional lucid dream. Per the usual, I'm going to put in red what was lucid, and blue what was non-lucid. Black will be non-dream stuff.

Going to bed, I repeated the mantra "I lucid dream." When my thoughts wandered, I would chant it louder in my head. During my trying to fall asleep, I could imagine daily things being effected by it (I see a scene from earlier play out, but instead of normal words, it added things like "I loudly dropped..." which followed the same first letter of my mantra. Somewhere in there, I fell asleep.
I am in an extremely dark house. People are all around, and for some reason, I feel a sense of urgency. I try to turn on lights, but they fail. My first thought is the lights are broken. Somewhere in the dream, I get the notion that it's a dream and try to RC. I try poking my finger through my hands, counting my fingers, but both worked flawlessly. Undaunted, I do the nose test, and it failed. This forces me to realize I am dreaming. Since it's dark, I conjure up a potion, for some reason, and drink it. Within seconds, the room brightens up. I drink another, and the room gets brighter. Eventually, the entire room is dark, but bright enough to make out details. I know the LD is extremely unstable, so I began to think of tasks to do. Yes, this was my first thought because I am goal-oriented. I ask a woman wondering around what are my tasks again, and I remember it's to talk to someone, so I ask her to tell me about lucid dreaming when I try to conjure a fireball for Nomad's class before the most recent one. She explains I need to wait to develop dream control and duration, but it'll come. I start to create the fireball in my hand, but while I feel the heat and hear the sparkling, I lose the visual. Begrudgingly, I wake up. I quickly jot down my dream, then I try to return to the dream, but instead, I have a non-lucid where I see a radio host willing to have his kidney removed for the sake of radio. Later, I am planning a trip to local colleges (day residue) to watch their graduations.

While I failed the fireball, I could feel heat and I heard the crackle as it formed. So close!

No recall last night. Hmmm.

Good job writing that note, even if you can't remember your dreams.

Tried to WBTB last night into a WILD. Before the break, I remember a dream where someone was creating explosives using children. Disturbed, I tried to go back into that dream while attempting to WILD, but I ended up with no recall at all after the break. I was conscious enough to jot down a series of notes on that first dream.

Dang, I was feeling so confident after my first LD.

Don't lose your confidence. It should get much easier for you after having your first lucid dream. Congrats!

Thanks, but honestly, it's been the opposite, believe it or not. My recall diminished exponentially, so now I have to figure out what I did wrong.

10.24

Did a WBTB-WILD attempt last night, which failed.

Before the WBTB, I had at least two or three false awakenings. Most of them were around waking up late for work. On the longest one, I was going to work, when I saw my boss in one of my dream cities. For some reason, I often dream of two completely different, unique cities, and I usually walk instead of drive. In this one, this young boy was lost, and while late for work, I decided it was best to take him home. About halfway, I realized he wasn't far from home, and I should have driven. Along the way, I see my boss operating a bridge, for some reason. Following this dream, I wake up at 5AM to my alarm, a bit confused. I go for the phone, but then I wake up to my alarm two hours later. Strange.

Finally, I get some water and walk around and write down that previous dream. Feeling tired, I go back to bed and attempt to WILD. I start counting, and get to around "40" "I'm dreaming..." when I lost consciousness. For some reason, I cannot keep hold of my consciousness while trying to go into a dream. I dreamt I went back into the same city as before, and then, I could see historical buildings being closed down. This dream was long but rather uneventful. Mostly me meeting people and talking about the closures.

That's rough. Don't lose your confidence though. That's what caused my two week dry spell.

Thanks for the support. Failed a WILD today (I vaguely recall a dream), but I am going to try again via WBTB tonight. *crosses fingers* I want to earn my second wings.

I had a DILD, but I can't remember any more. More info when I get home.

Before I failed the WBTB attempt, I remember Steve-O being around my house for some reason, but he was afraid of everything. Later, I can remember a world of flying things (very fuzzy), and tons of false awakenings. After my WBTB, I attempted to WILD, which just ended in me sleeping. I can distinctly remember doing the nose RC, it failing, but I can't remember anymore. DANGIT!

What a strange night! First, I entered several dreams that ended. Nothing lucid, but I did revisit this mall I've dreamed of before. I can also remember a school (high school?) that I may have visited in my dreams. Last night, all my dreams blurred together without stops, so I am having trouble remembering where one ended and one began. Nothing too out of the ordinary sticks out, but I can remember album store with music EVERYWHERE.

Strange night. I had a few super vivids, but once I woke up, I really only remember one dream, a piece of the other, and a cursory part of the third.

- I went to visit a friend who didn't even notice I entered the house. He was super weird, and then, his ex-girlfriend came to get him. As we were driving, she said they wouldn't have time to drop me off until 6AM, I go to work for 7, so I was a bit panicked. The rest of the dream, she treated me atrociously for no real reason, while my friend didn't say much.

- Second dream, I see flashes of imagery like an army cot, a computer with me talking with friends, but I can't connect the dots.

- I am in an elevator with a woman, roughly my age. For some reason, I know it's a sex dream (I think a video ran that I was forced to follow), but I don't remember any details.

10.28:

Violent dream. First, I woke up, inexplicably, at about 1AM. I attempted to WILD, but with only 3 hous under my belt, it got as far as "I'm going to WILD." Oh well.

The one dream I really remember was a long, long one. I felt something in the air, but I, along with several friends, were looking at a house to buy. Later, while discussing it, one guy was being particularly obnoxious, and I began to fight him. Later, when the police came to look for me, they held up pictures that looked nothing like me, but people swore it was me. Very strange dream.

10.29:

Strange night. My dreams were odd, so I think my mind is trying to help me become lucid, but something is blocking it. I can't remember all the dreams at the moment, but I remember two distinctly:

1. Aquarium - I was in a very large, and creepy looking aquarium. In one tank was a megalodon shark, moving little. We were offered an opportunity to go swimming with some fish as they do at some places, but as I got in the water, seeing the shadow of the meg. was terrifying. Woke me up.

2. This dream neat. Essentially, it was a fighting battle royale with characters from movies, books, and games. I can't remember much action, but it was a cool dream.

There were two or three other dreams I can remember having, but I can't remember details.

Going to focus on being more aware today, checking dreamsigns/RCs, and going to try to WILD today.

Tried to WILD a few times, but I only ended up waking up about 3 or 4 times (only once with my alarm). Failed miserably. Because of all that waking and going back to sleep, I cannot remember any dreams.

Tried to WBTB to WILD after 5 hours of sleep. I woke up, was pretty conscious and began counting to remain conscious. My body was exhausted. Next thing I remember, it's 6:20, an hour exactly from my attempts. Either I fell asleep or that was a False Awakening. Attempted again, and that lead to a lengthy dream.

Dream 1: Before FAs/WBTB - I don't remember anything from this dream, but I remember it was extremely short.
Dream 2: After WBTB - I was the assistant to a super popular musician, and they gave me the chance to perform something. Strange thing with this, on my last attempt of going to bed, I was counting "1, I lucid dream. 2, I lucid dream..." In the dream, I was counting off the same way. After the concert, of which I remember none, I met up with people to perform various tasks. The premise here was confusing, but I can remember having to perform stunts to get tools to pull of heists.

Still can't achieve WILD!

Had a super lengthy nap dream while I attempted to WILD. I was awaken about an hour into it, then I managed to re-enter by focusing on the dream. My re-entrance lacked lucidity, and the dream was extremely unstable, but this is definitely progress.

The first part of the dream had me in a huge locker room, with people for a swim team. I would go swimming a few times, then I found a bunch of people staging an elaborate prank, that I cannot remember the details. The re-entrance had me watching the prank pan out, but it was super fuzzy.

So, last night, I decided to try to use my REM Dreamer since I was having such poor luck as of late. When using the dreamer, I always have vivid dreams and I wake up a lot. Before the wake-back-to-bed, I had a really vivid dream where I was in a brand new house we made. The house had a large kitchen flanking the left side of it, with a cozy looking living room. I didn't get much further than that. I wake up the first of several times and fail several WILD attempts. I know once I checked my clock to be sure I was awake, then within seconds, I see a different clock saying I should be dreaming. Somewhere in this waking and falling asleep, I dreamt of this tiny kid with a basketball. It was in my journal, so I know it happened, but I can only see him in silhouette. Finally, it was close to 6:30 or 6:45 when I went to sleep again. I believe I see the dream form around me, but I am not too sure, until I hear my text tone go off, which is a loud 2 second sound, for some reason, I know that this is a dream and I become lucid. I am in a theater with people watching dreams. In the dream, it didn't dawn on me that this was my recreation of the November advanced challenge "Visit an offline DV." As I walk around the theater, I see a girl following me, but my main goal is to get to the lobby to tell death to steal her soul. Again, I am very goal oriented. Instead, I realize I do not have full control over the environment, so I poke my finger through my hand, which succeeded. It was an erie sight. I see my mom in the theater, and I tell her my basic task because I am aware the dream is ending. I tell her I am thankful for learning how to dream properly. Not long after that I can feel the dream fade to the room I was sleeping in, and I wake up.

My strange penchant for completion, lead me to perform two major dream tasks on the first day of the month, but I still lacked control over my environment. Also stranger is the fact that I became lucid, not by WILDing, but by the external text message sound. I still lack control in my lucidity =\.

I think I woke up last night trying to remember my dreams, but this morning I can only remember my last one. Somehow, I inherited a corporation, and I was in charge of its day-to-day. Nothing too exciting came from that.
