Honestly, I've been faithfully following, "Sword Art Online." To me it has a Storyline that really captures me. The First Arc showed what people could become in a World without law, and the justice that can come from even the most unexpeced people. Throw in some great Romance, pulling moments, action-packed scenes- Too much to count! The real killer for me in this series, is the thought of going into a different world, an escape, to start over and not lose your identity, fighting for your life. I reccomend it!

I want to try out Fairy Tale soon.

I'll make sure to start watching! & I love the Avatar.

You can watch Sword Art on Crunchyroll (The ads can be terrible.) Or on watchanimeon.com , along with a few other common Anime viewing sites. It's not for everybody, but I'd say give it a shot!

Wow I love sword art! too bad though that the third arc will not come out as an anime :O . The idea is good, the fights are epic ,the plot is interesting and not to mention the romance which makes everything a little bit better . That is indeed a good anime and it became popular for a good reason.

I am also watching now Kaichou wa maid sama (A shoujo for a change) and the visual novel of Umineko no naku koro ni (I highly recommend it as well as the anime). I am also being pressured by a friend of mine to watch fairy tail for a very long time ,but I have so many good animes I want to watch so I have to finish some other animes before I can move into fairy tail.

Oh and BrandonBoss! Sword Art Online is the name of the game (It is not really about art ) ,although if you meant that you want to know how are the drawings then you tell me :
"Dream your dreams with your eyes closed, but live your dreams with your eyes open."

This reminds me a lot like NANA, which had a lot of drama in it as well, which made me REALLY addicted to seeing all the episodes. It's too bad the anime didn't want the same tragedy to occur in the manga.

White Album looks interesting, I just watched the first episode, and despite the splashing of a lot of characters in one episode, it seems there will be a lot of things to happen. The beginning kind of scared me because it feels like there's something bad that will be apparent as I go through the episodes.

      Thanks for sharing this

Just finished Steins;Gate over the weekend and it was awesome. The story may include time travel but not in a cliche way, simply as a plot device. The characters are a bit stereotypical (a ditzy teenage girl, a perverted guy, tsundere-like person) but they all work excellent together and end up making it very enjoyable. The two main characters (Okabe and Makise) are the only ones that truly change, but when the time span of the anime is technically like a week (but the time travel causes one or two people to experience weeks) you can't expect that much growth. The only complaint I have is that the ending seemed a bit rushed. They try to squeeze a whole new conflict and ending for said conflict as well as the entire show in only about 2 episodes which is not nearly enough time. 4-6 would've been much better.

Still highly recommend it. This show is up there in my favorites now

Hey guys, glad to see so many anime enthusiasts here. I figured I should contribute my favorite shows as a fellow anime aficionado I'll put super mainstream animes in a separate list as it is likely most of you have already seen them.

      My Top 3 Recommendations are:

      - Kara no Kyoukai (Anime Movie, 7 episodes): Music from the same guy who did Xenosaga, and animation from Type Moon you simply can't go wrong with this one. If you like the supernatural and mind tiwsting animes (like Paranoia Agent) then your sure to be in for a ride on this one, you will also fall in love with the main character which is nothing short of a straight bad ass. The art in the anime is also exceptional as expected for anime-movies.

      - One Piece (Very... Very... Long): I know this one is very mainstream but there is a huge misconception over one piece that I want to dispel. Listen I use to be a one piece hate machine until my buddy sat me down and basically forced me to watch the first 30 episodes with him. It is pure gold and it has catapulted it self as to becoming one my favorite animes. I caught up to the show when it was on episode 411 it is now on episode 576 there is not a single arc that has disappointed me, even the fillers are fun to watch.

      - Guin Saga (26 episodes): An amnesiac leopard-headed man with biceps bigger then your face and a "Sir-like" way of speaking beats the shit of people in a midevil time period. He basically wants to know who he is, and why he has the head of a leopard. To give you an idea of how boss this anime is, he punches a dude so hard into a tree his helmet catches fire.... Awesome anime.

      Mainstream/classic animes:

All of the below are critically acclaimed animes of exceptional quality. You have most likely seen all if not most of these.
      - Code Geass
      - Death Note
      - Fate/Stay Night
      - Fate Zero
      - Great Teacher Onizuka (GTO)
      - Blood +
      - Neon Genesis Evangelion
      - Cowboy Bebop
      - Samurai Champloo
      - Trigun
      - Full Metal Alchemist
      - Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
      - Clannad
      - Full Metal Panic

Just finished watching Code Geass... *sniff*... Nothing in this world will be able to describe what I'm feeling right now. Code Geass is just, brilliant... breathtakingly brilliant; from the first second of the first episode, up to the stunning revelation of the final episode. No amount of Goku's Kamehameha, Ichigo's Getsuga Tenshou, or Naruto's Rasengan, will be able to defeat the awesomeness of Code Geass, or Lelouch to be specific.

Code Geass isn't the typical anime where the protagonist is flawless and perfect when it comes to morals. I know there's Death Note, but it didn't have the "click" of Code Geass imo. Light Yagami is awesome, he wanted to change the world and stuff, but he strayed from his original goal. Plus, he didn't have the right reason. He just happened to passed by a notebook then BOOM, the Death Note story begins. On the other hand, Lelouch had a solid reason to fight. And that is to discover the killer of his mother and to create a world suitable for his sister. He also stated that he was willing to do it even if he didn't obtained the Geass(power that enables him to control people).

I doubt there's another anime out there that can top the sheer epicness Code Geass. Code Geass is able to appeal to a wide variety of audience; From Gundam Fans up to Death Note lovers. The characters are simply unforgettable, e.g. Nina (tables... O__O ). The mecha fights are astonishing. The story is unique. And let's not forget Code Geass' somewhat cool and slick art style. In my opinion, Code Geass is the Pinnacle of Anime Ingenuity!

To the people who still haven't watched Code Geass: I, Weakamon of Dreamviews, command you to WATCH IT!

Code Geass use to be my #1 anime above everything else, that is, until I watched One Piece, Eiichiro Oda is a bloody genius. You will not really appreciate One Piece unless you watch it from episode one to now. Maintaining such an epic of a story for nearly 10 years is almost unheard of (Naruto, DBZ).

Luffy can be just as dramatic as Lelouch, he will surprise you.

Code Geass is in my top 5 for anime overall, but definitely #1 for my favorite ending. It was happy, yet sad; it left you with a cliffhanger, yet answered so many questions. However, I have one for you: did you watch Sub or Dub?

I still haven't watched One Piece. I heard lots of good things about it, so I think I might consider it in my must-watch list. Also, Luffy's(he's the stretchy guy right? ^__^" ) one of my favorite characters in Jump Ultimate Stars(You should try it out).

I agree with you. Code Geass's ending is also my favorite. It fits the story well, it's the perfect wrap. Now then, I watched it in Japanese(subbed). I'm not really that strict when it comes to language. If I watched the first episode in English, then I watch the whole series in English. If I watched the first episode in Japanese, then I watch the whole series in Japanese.

I was asking because the dialogue at the end with C2 isn't in the dubbed (not completely, anyway). The camera never pans up after C2 asks her question which leaves the English audience with more of a cliffhanger. (hard not to use spoilers >.>)

Highlights of the upcoming anime season:

Other than these two I'm pretty dissapointed, another shitty anime season... Hopefully Summer 2013 will be better. Still waiting for Kaiji season 3 to get rolled out SIGH, I miss watching that anime it was so suspenseful I loved it.

If you guys like Death Note style suspense, check out Kaiji, its animated by MADHOUSE (same people who did death note). Its the kind of anime that gets you hooked from episode one, you won't be able to drop it.

For a change the art-style is different from what your use to, and the story line/suspense is captivating. Its about a debt-riddled bum named Kaiji, who discovers his talent in the art of gambling. Except the gambles are not your typical Blackjack and roulette, they are custom-tailored by an underground mob and feature seriously high payouts for winning, and huge debts for losing.

Proper synopsis below if your interested:
Kaiji - Television Tropes & Idioms
