I am in the middle of the manga - Deadman Wonderland which is really awesome!
I have seen the anime, but never read the manga. The action was great and if that's all you care about Deadman Wonderland is definitely a good choice. In my opinion it lacked a proper story line, but i'd still give it a 7.5/10 (Which is above average on my scale)
Have you ever seen Devil May Cry? It's insane and if you've played the games the anime will be even more epic

Deadman Wonderland is great (the anime, haven't read the manga), although I wish that they had focused more on the arena fights and competitions rather then the conspiracies/prison break stuff.

Well I actually liked the plot . It wasn't too deep , at least from what the anime showed... The story afterwards is still nice ,but yes it focuses also on action and gore . Shiro and Ganta also reminded me of Yuno & Yuki from Mirai Nikki (Which I really liked) so it might have added something for me ( not to mention the similarities between Crow and Zaraki Kenpachi.
Well I didn't see Devil May Cry. Should I see the anime first or play the game first?

That's all up to you, either way would be fine.
Another series i would recommend to anyone is fate/stay night and fate/zero, the sequel. It kept me really interested the whole way through which doesn't happen too often!
Just finished Serial Experiments Lain and I've got to say... actually I don't know what to say. This picture sums it up best:
Spoiler for Big:
It's quite philosophical and leaves you with tons of questions and answers about 2. If you actually try and think while you watch it the show's actually quite good and probes such thoughts as which reality is the true reality, what role do memories serve, and how the internet slowly becomes more and more intertwined with our reality and minds. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who is more on the thoughtful side and who enjoy answering questions in their own way.
Eh, a little late, but Serial Experiments Lain is amazing. Even to the people who don't understand it, I still think it's a must see for the dreamers who appreciate strange, surrealistic shows.
If it hasn't been mentioned before, there's an anime about OBEs out there, it's called Ghost Hound. It combines scientific explanations with mythical, never trying to tell you which the correct ones are, not even at the very end. You're the one who has to choose what to believe.
Another anime on dreams is Paprika, but I believe it's awful, and the author (although highly respected otherwise) doesn't have a clue about dreams. He probably used the topic to be unorthodox.
I was looking into paprika just before (having been addicted to the theme song and it's many variations). =w= I've never heard anyone say it was terrible before, though. Interesting.
Anyway, has anyone seen Mawaru Penguindrum? I really liked it (watched it about a month ago), it's pretty deceiving in the first few episodes. Before I even started watching it, I thought it was going to be a gag anime about penguins. Which is pretty much extremely far from what it really is.
If you remove the cyberpunk tech & dream stuff from Paprika, what's left? The characters aren't really engaging on their own, in my personal opinion, and neither the plot has any non-generic twists.
As for the cyberpunkish contents, these ideas have been so overdone. Before I discovered other mediums I was a bookworm and read lots of sci-fi, cyberpunk, and other fantastic stuff, so these ideas feel second-hand.
Never watched Mawaru Penguindrum. Does it have a plot? (the previous famous work of that person developed a real plot only at the very end, that's why I'm asking)
-Hunter X hunter, I like adventure thing and why I like hunter x hunter so much it's because of killua's character, his epic! Naruto, Simply because I love ninjas and I used to watch Naruto to bond with my siblings. Dragon Ball, it may be one of the oldest anime but I'm a great fan of it 'till now.
Naruto first anime I started watching and I think that I am going to take the kochiyose no jutsu and summon something beastly Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles One of the best all around stories I have read. Bleach I started when I was 15, so I could really relate with the 15 year olds back then.
I got the where the the anime of sword art online has stopped (The start of the fairy dance arc). What I saw so far was pretty good ^^ . I am even considering to read the light novel XD . Although there is a chance I might start watching Fairy Tail since one of my friends has been recommending me to watch it for a really long time.

Finished watching Black Rock Shooter. It was okay though I think it could have been better. thanks to my new smartphone I could watch it on my way to work and during the breaks which is pretty darn awesome as it allows me to watch a lot of animes again
Currently watching New/Shin Getter Robo (backlog), G Gundam (backlog), Tonari no Kaibutsu (airing) and JoJo (airing, also catching up on the manga)
Favorite anime would be Cat Soup, Legend of Galactic Heroes, Arakawa Under the Bridge, Cromartie High School, Gungrave, Yondemasuyo Azazel, Azumanga Daioh, Kino no Tabi, Mushishi, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Level E, Mazinkaiser, Memories, Paranoia Agent, Shiki, Texhnolyze and The Big O.
Favorite manga would be Koharu no Hibi, Houkago Play and Onani Master Kurosawa.
Manga currently reading (waiting for the new release that comes bi-monthly) and Anime as well: New Prince of Tennis
It's the sequel to Prince of Tennis, which involved players doing insane moves like Tezuka Zone, where Tezuka would impart a certain type of spin, so that whatever the opponent returned, it always goes back to Tezuka. So basically, he can just stand in one spot, rotate left and right, and own the match. Of course, there's cases where it gets beaten, but it's one of the moves that makes him bad-ass. Same goes for the Zero Shiki drop shot, the moment the ball gets on the ground, it does not bounce, and literally rolls backwards.
Ryoma Echizen is the main character who's a really cocky kid, but has the skills to back it up. If you watch the prequel, you can see slowly how he develops, and eventually reaches one of the points to unlock the Three Gates (I think it's just 3), which can only be acquired depending on the situation.
Like for Wisdom, you had to have experienced great physical disability and recover from it, Hard work....self-explanatory, and Perfection --- the feeling everyone has when they first place tennis, which is to have fun, but this ability automatically dies down when they become fixated on winning and losing.
Even though the moves were absurd, it was still fun to watch for me. It's like 178 episodes, 26 OVA, and a few more extra OVAs that I can't recall. And then there's New Prince of Tennis, which just takes the whole absurdity of these impossible tennis moves like over 100,424,320,424,322,420....it's usually nicknamed Dragon Ball Tennis or New Dragon Ball Tennis...as the name implies from Dragon Ball Z.
Crazy stuff, and this guy named Seiichi Yukimura, he can ------
Spoiler for spoiler:
literally block off your senses gradually, which means the more you hit the ball, the less you feel it, and then you can't see, hear, speak, or do anything. So he can basically destroy you in a tennis match, and even if he doesn't use that ability, he still wipes the floor because he's the person that hits 100% of the balls back to the court.
And in New Prince of Tennis ---------
Spoiler for more spoiler:
he seems to have evolved his technique to where the moment you hit the ball back, you're already in a dream state, and when you think you're winning, you're not. I just don't know.....how much of a hax he is, but he's so badass doing it.
And I think voiced by a female, which adds on to his uniqueness in the series, though Ryoma is voiced by a female, along with Fuji I believe.
Spoiler for more spoiler:
Especially when Ryoma Echizen faces him, Echizen has all of big moves learned by everyone through the State of Self-Actualization (which is just a state where you are over your limit, and unconscious reflexes start going crazy based on memories of seeing the move one time). Echizen has to use the Pinnacle of Perfection, when all of his major senses were eliminated during the match.
Ryoma Echizen's mentality is that he always wins, in fact -----
Spoiler for spoiler:
It seems that's the case every freaking time in this series. Like if he were to face a higher up during the beginning of the series when he just came to Seigaku, like Fuji, who would've beaten him, the match would be canceled due the coincidental, or intentional thunder and rain that makes things too dangerous to play.
Or like ---------
Spoiler for It's spoilers man:
In New Prince of Tennis, instead of actually playing a match against the higher courts, he gets disqualified, which means he didn't lose, even though it really is, but it's because he was playing with someone else instead of being there.
But it turns out they give the losers to rise up and become powerful than those who are still in the Under 17 Tennis Camp
It's crazy stuff, it'll take a while to finish the first series, it took me a few months ago after years of stopping around Episode 130/178 to finish the whole series. There's a lot of content the Manga in New Prince of Tennis covers than the Anime, which makes sense, for Canon continuity and less fillers.
I think the Manga is awesome to read if you don't want to wait like a week, or even months, for the new episode to come out.
And every time there's some player who has some great disability, like Seiichi with ---
Spoiler for spoilers:
Guillain-Barré Syndrome most likely, who gets it healed, even when there was only 50% success rate I believe
, once that person comes back fully healthy, you know they were bad-ass, and will be more bad-ass when you see them on the courts.
Ahhhhhhhh, I could go on with the pairings, and then the Yaoi, but I'm not into Yaoi, so it'll work out, big time, for those interested. >.>
Spoiler for One more Spoiler Before your Eyes Bleed:
Here's a video of the few really really really good players of Prince of Tennis and New Prince of Tennis: Seiichi has this crazy move where he put so much spin on the ball that when it touches the ground, it soars super fast, making it impossible to return, unless you did a Super Rising shot and got it before it soared.
Freezing
I haven't read the manga, but I watched the anime, which is like 12 Episodes long I think. It has more shirts coming off of females than a woman changing her mind.
I can't say much, since it's 12 episodes, but the main character is just the guy who is unfortunate to trip and stumble on most of the females, but he doesn't really get cut up like most females do in the series.
Also, some females just deactivate their abilities, and they become half-naked, or completely naked. It's hilarious, from a male standpoint.
It's horrible, for females to watch, unless they like seeing characters and fantasizing on Yuri pairings.
BUT, a female can be confident females are dominant in this short anime, well kinda.
Oh and it has a few OVAs, which I'm surprised that show up on YouTube.
Oh it's teen +17. I would show a clip on YouTube on the OVA, but I'd be banned, or a get heavy infraction. I don't want those. :c
Oh and there's blood...lots of it, but all the breast and panty shots balance it out.
I've been getting into D.Gray-Man. It's not horrible. It's yet to really grab me though.
There's a couple of movies I watched recently that I really liked. Actually I'd seen one of them earlier but didn't really remember it and just recently watched it again. It's called Sword of the Stranger and I found it absolutely top notch. Up there with Ninja Scroll and Miyazaki. The other one I saw is called Brave Story and it also turned out to be pretty good. I'm pretty difficult to please so I was pleasantly surprised by Brave Story.
