I just finished watching the Sword Art Online anime and holy hell, I loved it. I read that there are no current plans for the rest of the light novel series to be adapted into the anime. I hope that changes. I don't read light novels or manga, so the anime is really the only way to continue the story for me. With how incredibly popular the series turned out to be, the hope that this will happen doesn't seem entirely banished to the realm of fantasy.

Haha. I am 3 episodes away from finishing SOA. Holy Frick. I started it yesterday. I shall finish the last hour today. They don't have plans to finish all four? After watching it so much yesterday my wife got home, I made her watch the first two episodes. So I watched those twice yesterday. It is always weird when an anime goes over so much time. It makes me feel like uli have been watching it for that whole time.

Finished SOA. Amazing. Glad I am re-watching it in the next few weeks. It has a very grasping at dreams side of it in my mind. Or maybe I just over analyze anime and cry too much.

I might have to actually start watching anime now Highschool of the Dead is considered drivel now-a-day, there are animes of much higher quality and drama. There are already lots of examples in this thread. BrandonBoss, start watching Kaiji damn it.

There's actually information going on about SAO: it's gonna have a new season under the name of Gun Gale online. Kirito will have a female avatar, and the release date is February 17th. GGO will feature guns, and I haven't seen Asuna anywhere, but there will be around 2-3 new female characters. But it seems the new season is really a reality. Just look GGO on youtube and you'll be able to see images of it. And Kirito is actually hot as female lol.

I think its time to revive this thread (for good reasons of course). For all those Sword Art Online fans: The second season about Gun Gale Online mentioned above by Zoth is actually finally coming out later this year. See here: www.animenewsnetwork.com For those who can't wait, there is similar anime to SAO also based on a light novel (Sword Art Online was originally a light novel). It's called Log Horizon. The plot at first seems identical and like a rip off but the two animes are really nothing alike except for the general setting. Log Horizon can be watched for free on Crunchyroll.

Probably already talked about or listed but, Attack on Titan. Awesome anime with a lot of surprises, I really like the art style and how everything plays out. (this can be pretty gory; just so you dont yell at me)

I am currently watching Fairy Tail for the second time, I am at episode 138. I watched Gintama almost 3 times and I have seen the good fights of Bleach several times. Bleach really has a lot of insanely awesome fights

Yeah I remember getting many suggestions to watch that one. I don't feel like it though :d SAO was great! The fights were interesting and the story was actual story. Fairly deep characters, a little intrigue, a little drama. I was hoping Log Horizon would be kind of the same, but Log Horizon is more involved in politics and has an actual respawn system. Slightly disappointed, but it still isn't half bad. I'm also watching Bakemonogatari, which is confusing yet pretty awesome And of course I'm still a fan of Soul Eater, which is just amazing.

My favorites are: Kenpachi vs Nnoitra, Starrk/Lillinette vs Kyouraku/Ukitake/2 vizards, Ichigo vs Ulquirra, Halibel vs Hitsugaya, there were more really amazing fights but these are the best of the best of what I remember now And of course I'm still a fan of Soul Eater, which is just amazing. Hell yeah Soul Eater Kenichi is great too! I have read 562 chapters of the manga And Reborn is really fun too

Mushibugyo is a great anime with a lot of good fight scenes, though they are mostly against giant bugs. It's a typical shōnen anime definitely worth watching.

I'd also vouch for Sword Art Online! I started watching at 8pm last night and I'm up to episode 12! Greatly addicted and amusing. The first few episodes can get a little sad at times, but it sure picks up!

Watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventures, and Kill La Kill. And i also recommend watching/Reading DreamEater/Yumekui Merry. It is definitely relevant to this forum. About Lucid Dreaming & Dream Creatures. I advise reading the manga as well. It goes much more in-depth with Dream realms.

Yes to all the Sword Art Online comments! I first decided to not watch it because I thought a virtual reality anime would be dumb. A year later I finally watched Sword Art Online. The second episode had me CRYING (not an easy thing to do). I loved the first half of the series (12 episodes). I almost wish I hadn't seen the second half. :/ But it did manage to make me angrier than any other show has. (I wasn't angry at the show, I was angry at the evil man. Just as Kirito struggled with that hate, I struggle with that hate.) I would personally recommend Bakuman. It is a three-season anime (or check out the manga - it is just as good) about two guys trying to become professional manga artists, and it is a lot more dynamic and interesting than it sounds.

bwaaaaa I finished Blue Exorcist in the span of two days. I loved the first half! I love Rin! He reminds me of Naruto, a demon boy character who just wants to be your friend and then loses all control. Plus, the tail! HE HAS A TAIL. But the second half sucked. Then I found out the second half of the anime isn't actually canon to the manga. So now I'm reading the manga and can barely put it down. Thanks Rin! I had so much fun reading manga last night I lucid dreamed!
