Free Multiplayer Games

So, I joined a group and we play free games online (with some paid ones here and there). I will slowly compile a list of games that are free and fun/good. I'll add any suggestions.

Savage 2 - Neat game! You play as soldiers in an army against humans or monsters (I forget their name). The twist is that the soldiers play in an FPS style while one person will play it as an RTS instructing what to build and what not.

Tribes Next - Dynamix went under, and they made their great game free. Halo was inspired heavily by the vehicles in the first one (I think the team came from there). It's really a great game, and it takes a lot of skill to actually get good at it.

SKULLTAG - Skulltag is free. It's a multiplayer client for DOOM and all Doom engine games (hexen heretic, strife, chexquest). Zdaemon is for hardcore doomers that want to play the game as it was made. Skulltag is more about WAD hosted custom games (ie. Zdoom wars, ghouls vs humans, Hide n' seek, "who dun it?" etc.) Courtesy of Firebat11 Supernova also suggests Aeons of Death as a single player mod.

Skulltag is free. It's a multiplayer client for DOOM and all Doom engine games (hexen heretic, strife, chexquest). Zdaemon is for hardcore doomers that want to play the game as it was made. Skulltag is more about WAD hosted custom games (ie. Zdoom wars, ghouls vs humans, Hide n' seek, "who dun it?" etc.)

Before I say anything I just wanna say ANOTHER DOOMER HOLY LIVING FUCK!

Call me a purist, but I was never a big fan of skulltag. Maybe it's cause I like co-op, but there's a certain appeal about the feel of the game as it originally was, just with the added features. Skulltag does have better bots; but to me co-op is the best part of Doom. Besides, it's way too hard to hit an opponent that's running around at 30 MPH

ZDoom is awesome, although that's just for singleplayer. Try AEoD (AEons of Death) mod.

For MMORPG's, best free one I know of is called Perfect World. It originated in China, and it's similar to WoW.

Well actually through some investigation, recording a few demos, and talking with the skulltag admins, I was able to safely conclude 70% of the skulltag community hacks and use aimbots. I just steer clear of duels and deathmatch servers. Like you, I fancy the co-op =p That or any game where hacking doesn't help (zdoom wars, and "who dun it"). It is a pleasure to meet another fellow Doomer.

IMO, Runescape is very good in every way except that it takes FOREVER to do anything. I just don't have the patience for that game.

I bot, 'cause I know what you mean; It took me one whole day just to go from 81-82 fishing. Thanks to SRL, I was able to get 99 magic & have a life.

League of Legends is basically the same as the old DotA mod for Warcraft 3. It's an incredible game, but not easy getting used to if you never played DotA before. anyway:

I used to play this MMO called Deadfrontier. It's main theme is about a zombie infested city. You'll get to loot and hunt(alone or with other players). There's even a PVP mode. The graphics are kinda like that of GTA3 but much much better. Though I don't play it anymore.

I don't really play too many mmo's anymore, but here are some I really liked a long time ago:

Wonderking Online: 2D sidescroller, lots of cool skills 'n stuff.
LaTale: pretty much like wonderking, except the art style is a little bit more like anime.

Some I still play:

Osu!: Osu! is a bit different. It's a rhythm/music game. Extremely fun though.
Transformice: A game where you play as a mouse. The goal is to get to the cheese and return to your hole. Very focused on co-op gameply and, well, mass hysteria.
