Holy shit. Praise Jesus, praise Allah! This is awesome. Thanks for the heads-up, I don't read much gaming news, but this is definitely relevant to my interests. I love how they made it 3D and still manage to make it look classic Diablo-style.

I've been waiting SOOOOOOO long for this game!!!! But there are actually two versions of Diablo coming out. The team that made the original Diablo games left Blizzard and started their own company. While they don't own the rights to the name Diablo, they've still made a Diablo clone called Mythos. Mythos.com This game will be free to play and should be entering open beta anytime now (So sign up for it!). From what I've seen, Mythos isn't as dark and gloomy, but has a brighter atmosphere. But other than that, they look to be pretty much the same game. Which one will be better?

Haha awesome can't wait, I haven't played Diablo in years. And yeah it's great how they seem to have kept the same look and feel of the game despite the obvious improvements. Looks like it'll be a hell of a game.

More than likely... I think Vista is backwards compatible in the sense that it can run downgraded software. I should have an answer in a few minutes. Yeah, it'll run it. A friend of mine has it. He said sometimes its a little buggy though.

Time to bump this. As many of you probably already know, the beta is out now. What are you thoughts on the new rune system? I'm not sure whether I like it not, but it's a change, so I give it thumbs up. Anyone in beta right now?

I'm not in beta. I fucking wish. Been waiting for my email. Supposed to be out in Q1 2012 though, wooooooootttt! This will be the perfect amount of time for me to check out and possibly get bored of the new Star Wars MMO, which comes out in december. I'm pumped pumped pumped.

Yeah...my friend was just telling me that they pushed this back to march. If they keep pushing it back, maybe I'll actually have a computer that will be able to run it when it comes out.

Already pre-ordered the collectors edition...it looks sick! IMO it looks great ... though it might look 'the same' the elements that made the Diablo franchise a classic are kept, but improved.

WoW has gotten infinitely more fun over the years. The quests are much more story oriented so the game doesn't feel so grindy, plus the end game content is pretty sweet. As for Diablo 3, it looks like they added way way WAY more intricacies into the "platforming" aspect, making it more than just a super hack n slash. Plus they claim that the character builds are going to be more interesting rather than there being basically 1 or 2 viable builds for each class. I've heard that before, though. edit: PVP BATTLE SYSTEM, WOOT WOOT! Let's face it guys, pvp in 1 + 2 was pure, absolute, retarded shit.

I'm not really sure things will turn out that way. Sure, there are many skill combinations, but eventually I think people will figure out the most powerful ones anyway. It's inevitable. New patch is out by the way. Here is one interesting change: - Switching out class skills will now require the use of a new feature known as the Nephalem Altar. Nephalem Altars are currently located in New Tristram, as well as in key locations throughout Act I. Clicking on an altar will open up the skill UI, allowing both active and passive skills to be selected or exchanged. This seems pretty good. I thought it would be messy and take up way too much time if people would constantly be able to switch their skills. I've heard that gold will actually have a value this game. I'm interested to see what they've changed to make it significant. As for the PVP system. Not sure about how well it's going to work out, but since you can make teams and fight other teams, I guess that adds some skill to it.

What kind of changes would you like to see? I'm not sure. I haven't seen any videos which explain the changes enough. I don't like that the camera is so far away though. Looks too much like a strategy game (SC etc.). I haven't played the originals for so long. So I can't really remember what I didn't like about them. Besides it being hack central lol
