Yes, I've messed around with one a little bit. It seems like it could be really fun, I might try it out again for lols. |

When I was younger I messed around with RPG Maker 2003 and a couple other versions that I don't remember exactly, but I never really made anything too crazy with them. Does anyone here use anything like that? I'm kind of looking for a good one to use because I'm thinking about messing around with it in my down time again, and I'd also be interested to know if anyone here has made any games worth playing. |

I think this is the first time I've come across anyone talking about this; my dad's friend's son gave me a copy of the 2000 version (before there was even an official english version; this was a bootleg translation) years and years ago, and I messed around with it quite a bit. I never actually got into any serious projects that came to completion, but I just loved working on stuff in it. |

I used to play around with rpg maker. I lost my motivation though lol. The only game I can think of right now that was made in it was something called "IB" it is a horror game though. |
|
I've never used RPG maker but I really liked screwing around with gamemaker, blender and oblivion construction set. I guess they are probably a bit more advanced and less template based then rpg maker but they were really really fun. |

It is pretty fun. :3 When you have time to mess around with it, anyway. And patience lol. |

Oh you misunderstood me. I didn't create IB or any game in rpg maker for that matter. But in game maker me and a team a few years ago created a crappy game in game development class. It was called Civil warriors. You play as a confederate soldier and throw snow balls at the enemy. Oh and the reason it was snow balls was because the school was just strict and didn't allow guns. |

Ah, gotcha. Well that sounds fun too. |

I've never used RPG Maker but Yume Nikki was made with it. |

I made about two games with game maker but never released them. One was a kind of mario side scroller, very basic, just platforms, monsters and pickups. My next game was quite advanced. The point of the game was you were a futuristic mage trying to save your duaghter, it was also a platform game but everything had gravity and was fully destructible, it took friggin hours to make but it was totally worth it. |

I used to mess around with a creation engine called the OHRRPGCE, which basically is for making top-down Final Fantasy style games. It was a lot of fun, and it's extremely customizable (you design your own map tiles, character sprites, sprite animations, enemies, backgrounds, maps, music, party management system, magics/abilities, magic/ability animations, level-up paths, items, equipment, and a bunch more) and very easy to use. |

Sorry man, I could never get into my account on the gamemaker website so I never uploaded it. I'm working on a new one, I might upload it once it's done. |
