Uh, you need extremely powerful computers to emulate a PS1?

Well not strictly *very* powerful in this case, but emulating even a vastly inferior platform takes up a lot of power. The Xbox 360 has vastly more processing power available than the original Xbox, but even then, it is far more prone to framerate slowdowns.

Likewise emulating DOS on a modern windows machine does require lots of power, especially for 3D games.

Speaking of emulators, none of them work on my Pc. It always says 'Bad ROM' no matter where I get it from...

Yeah, I'd say it is. FFVII has a story worth playing through.

Except that you have to play as Cloud, who is the biggest bitch in all FF games, (including Vaan.)

Otherwise, it's got a really good score and the story is morally gray.

Grod, I played the game while knowing the main spoiler, and it still got me by surprise.

The more I play the earlier Final Fantasy games, the more I like them. FFIV is, so far, probably the most interesting FF I have played; it's got some cool stuff from the earler games that were later removed, and the ATB system that I liked so much in FFVII.

Word. I've been meaning to play it for some time, but I was hoping that's not like the main revelation of the game or whatever.

FF7 is awesome not only in its story but everything else as well. Do it.

And also... Crisis Core FF7 for PSP is amazing!

I've only played 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12. I didn't like 12 at all, I quit after about an hour. 8 is probably my favorite. I still get the urge to play through 7, 8 or 9 about once a year. Great games.

I've gotta ask a friend to lend me his PSP so I can play Crisis Core.

Well, no offence but it takes about an hour to get into the main game, so it would be kind of hard to say if it was good or not from that sample. But at least you didn't get twenty-hours into it and then say that you hated it...

I played a solid 9 hours or so, and I assure you it doesn't get any better.

I certianly wouldn't call 12 a bad game. I still haven't finished it quite yet and I actually intend to. However, I don't really think that it feels like an FF game. As an FF game, yeah, it fails. As a game in general? I like it.

That list doesn't have a single Final Fantasy IX character...

Those "hip" modern character based FF games from Final Fantasy 8 (skip 9) and up hold no sway over the general type of Final Fantasy games with cartoonish style characters (the older FFs and FF9 + Final Fantasy Tactics) that came before them.

So, aye, Vivi along with Zorn and Thorn for the "Awesome Character" list, please.

I have played FFIII before, and one of them on PS1, but I don't really want to put them on a list as being played because I can't remember jack shit about them. I know the one I played on PS1 I got to some fire monster boss and beat him, that's pretty much all I played of it. I liked them, but never really played. I bought 12 and I liked it a lot, so would I like the others even more?
